This is probably a stupid question, but if i verify that is own the content in physical, can I get it in digital? Or is it a matter of purchasing it from the site?
2. DDB is essentially a different store. You can't go to game stop, show them a game you got from best buy and expect to get a second copy for free. More or less the same logic.
DxJxC is correct. Keep in mind, however, that you don’t necessarily have to purchase entire “books” here, depending on what you want to do with the tools here. For example, if you only need to create a Tabaxi rogue at the moment, you can just buy the tabaxi race and—depending on your rogue’s level and subclass choice—the subclass.. What you spend on elements from a given “book” is credited toward the purchase of that “book” if you decide you need the whole thing later (it is also credited toward the applicable sub-bundle within the book, e.g. races or sub classes).
If you’d like more ideas about what to purchase (or homebrew) depending on how you want to use DDB, check out the buyer’s guide linked in my signature.

Nope.
1. They have no way to verify purchase.

This gets asked a lot.
No, having the physical books does not mean you can get the D&D Beyond versions for free.
D&D Beyond is a different company than Wizards, which still has to pay a licensing fee for the books.
