No, you're just confused. He didn't say they would release Phase 2 within a couple weeks of when he said that, he said they would release Phase 2 within a couple weeks of when they had planned to release Phase 2.

We realize that. It can be frustrating when the word "soon" gets thrown around so much. We moderators have very limited information. The information that we can give, is that Phase 2 will be this coming week.

I'll weigh in here as the one with all the inside knowledge. The truth of the matter is we are absolutely releasing this next week, but specifying a day could have unintended or unfair consequences.

If we target one day and last-minute things go wrong and it doesn't happen, then we must deal with the community disappointment or outrage that accompanies that ("You didn't release when you said you would, D&D Beyond breaks promises.")

"Soon" is a relative term, yes, but I'm not sure another word applies more accurately.
