The pricing is tough, but I understand that WoTC isn't charging us again, this is a different company, Curse. Will certainly be taking advantage of those sales, hopefully other content will go on sale as time goes on as well
Looking forward to the launch and am willing to reward the developer for converting the static content and tables from the books into a dynamic set of tools that should improve and expand over time as more content is created. If you don't value this - don't buy it.
The one thing I Don't like is that our gaming group has every book and every module. We don't want to have to rebuy all of those again. Are the new books going to come with a code to use in D&D Beyond?
Just want to say you guys have done an amazing job so far. (Mods included) Thanks for all the hard work!

Will we be able to buy the D&D Beyond version of Lost Mine of Phandelver from the the Starter Set?

One of the values of having everything electronic is to allow different views into the same data set. Rather than buy a whole book, it would be great to buy "Additional Backgrounds", "Additional Creatures", "Additional Classes", "Additional Magic Items" , etc. and you can slice and dice that differently to do two things. 1. Make more compelling offers to the users. 2. Learn from the packaging exercises what content is considered valuable.
When you bundle everything at the book level, WOTC is missing a great opportunity to actually learn what DMs want, what players want, what classes are preferred or messed up. Play testing is great, but when $$ are attached to something, you learn what is really real.
It's a missed opportunity to collect data that you could resell to WOTC. Another monetization stream is always a good thing.

If I buy the books do I need to have a subscription to use them if I am content with the 6 character limit? Also lets say I do get the Master tier, have the book, etc, do my players need to have a payed account to use them or does the free account use one of the 12 slots?
Clarification questions:
1. I mainly just want access to the character builder. Between the players in our group, we already have multiple copies of just about every rule book. In order to access all the character builder content (i.e. core content, Sword Coast race/classes, etc.), do I need to purchase all the content again first or will I have access to it simply through the basic subscription?
2. What DM tools will be available at the superior subscription? Does it just grant increased sharing options or does it have additional tools to help run a campaign?
3. What sort of licensing/distribution/copyright rules are involved? I play with the same group of 6. Is there anything preventing us (other than personal ethics) from pooling our money and purchasing all the content under a DM subscription and then sharing it with the whole group?
Does this mean that if I buy a Tier I also need to buy the books? Or do each of the tiers come with access to the appropriate books?
I don't care, I just want to save $10 a book during the initial subscription period instead of discovering a month later that I need to buy the books in addition to the monthly subscription.
Thanks!

Since we have seen a response from HartlessD20 we know the Curse team is aware of the long conversation that has occurred on this board over their pricing plan. Is there any chance we can get word on if this has brought about discussion among the higher ups to reconsider their options, or maybe start further discussion with their potential customers about their concerns?
