"You're mistaken, I have nothing you could possibly want," Eilla says bruskly to the Luskan. "Waterdeep's streets have enough dead bodies without yours being added to them."
The pirate takes a step back, he is unexpectedly shaken by the aggressive response fron the party. He shakes his head to clear it and and says 'Looks like we got some wannabe corpses here lads. But as I'm feeling generous I'll cut you a deal. Bring me everything that Branlyn had in the next three days and you will have made a friend, and from what I hear you are badly in need of those. However if me and mine have to come looking for you, then it won't end well and I'll take me chances searching your bodies.'

"Y-you heard the lady! Get out of here! Shoo! Shoo!" Cat crows as she waves off the pirate. Once they are gone, she will turn to her pal Eilla with a look of concern. "What was that about, Ei?"
As the pirates turn to leave the lead pirate shouts over he shoulder 'Bring my stuff to the Storm Cloak Inn in three days. Oh, leave the dogs outside, it's a respectable place’

As they are moving away, Sinak says, “Lumos agite!” quietly to himself and sends flashing and twinkling floating lights to surround them, spin around them, and then blink out. He says under his breath to Eilla and Cat, “Better bring several buckets…”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Eilla looks to Cat. "It's fair that you ask. That thug was part of the crew of pirates that killed my commanding officer, who was the son of the man I'm looking for. Apparently they want something that was his: may have killed him looking for it. Just on principle I wouldn't give them anything, but I don't have much that should be of interest to the Luskans: a flag, a broken dagger, a letter... Do they think I have something I don't? Did they think Branlyn did, and killed him for it? I don't know." She frowns. "Anyway. Let's find Emilio. The Skewered Lizard isn't far from here." She continues leading the party to the rough and tumble tavern.
Sinak follows, trying to stay low and hidden as they approach, following the edge of the wall as they get near to the establishment, looking for anyone posted as a guard.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
As you enter the Dock Ward, you sense it is even more unsafe and run-down than usual.
Tall, densely packed tenements leave most of the neighborhood in shadow at ground level. Most of the streetlamps have had their glass smashed and their candles stolen, and the smells of salt air and excrement linger as you pass by rows of run-down buildings.
One nearby shop stands out from the others. It has a deep purple facade, and in its window hangs a Wyvern skull. Above the door hangs a sign whose elaborate letters spell out “Chester’s Chest of Wonders.”
The Skewered Dragon looks like a ruin. Both of its front-facing windows are smashed, and a ship’s anchor is lodged in the roof. Through the windows, you can see a group of haggard patrons drinking from huge tankards.
Sinak manages to proceed unnoticed. There are no obvious guards at the tavern, however the general sense of being watched, by unfriendly eyes, pervades the Dock Ward.

Ballen follows toward the back of the group, but takes note of the run down section of town. "Looks like someone, or someones have been having their way through here. If I had witnessed what happened, I might be drinking from those big tankards too. Should we ask them?"
(Perception to notice anything unusual about the broken down area: 10)
(Insight into the demeanor of the drinking patrons: 13)
There has clearly been a lot of destruction recently. It isn't hard to see blood stains on the streets. You don’t notice any members of the watch in the area. Chesters Chest seems untouched though.
It's still early in the day, but it seems from the outside like there are serious drinkers in the tavern focusing on getting drunk. They appear to be locals, rather than sailors.

“Hmm, I wonder why this place is untouched…” Sinak gestures to the Chesters Chest establishment. “Want to have a look in here before we head into the Dragon?”
Kelytha sighs in exasperation. "Aah not Billy! Poor guy. I suppose getting cosy with the Civs doesn't make you dagger-proof. So what's going on here Korel? This looks a bit bigger than the usual street scraps." She tries to peer around her former colleague but fails to see anything of value (Nat 1).
(Civs being the various levels of Civilar, anything above Sargeant.)
Korel replies ‘Look Kelytha, there is something weird going on. We aren’t getting the support we should be getting and things are getting worse on the streets. I cannot say more here, but there is a wake for Billy tomorrow night at the Wyvern's Rest. If you come by then I can let you know more.’ Korel turns back to interviewing the prisioners
”Oi, what the hell is goin’ on?” He looks to Kelytha, ”Are you in a gang or something?”

Osborne has been to the Dock Ward a number of times and is acquainted with the taverns where drunks may gamble poorly, including the Skewered Dragon. He should probably be careful in case someone wants their money back one day.

”Oi, this place reeks more than normal! There also seems to be less folks here, so we should watch our backs.”
Cat looks a bit nervous to be in this rough part of town. "Let's figure this out as soon as we can... I don't want to linger any longer than we need to!"
"Stay close," Eilla says to the group, leading the way into the Skewered Dragon. She approaches the barkeep. "Looking for a halfling that was here. Goes by Emilio. You seen him?"
The barkeep is a bored looking half-orc who is busy cleaning mugs with an obviously dirty cloth. She looks up at Eilla and says 'Do I look like a friggin notice board to you luv. If I gave up every halfling who came in here, then your little friend wouldn’t last two weeks. Morning Ozzy, didn’t I bar you for cheating at cards?’
At the mention of the name Ozzy, a rather drunk goliath in the corner slams a knife into his table. He says ‘Where’s my money runt!’ and attempts to standup. However this manoeuvre proves beyond the drunk goliath and he slips, hits his head on the table and falls down unconscious.

Osborne gets nervous, for he remembered he had a crush on this half-orc, and he remembered the cheating she mentioned “Oi, you did, b-but I’m not here to gamble this time… I’m actually with these folks looking for this same person.”
He looks to the goliath, but turns back to the barkeep once he went unconscious.
Would Osborne know the names of both the half-orc and goliath?
Obsorne knows both. The half-orc is call Tinker Half-Axe. The goliath is often drunk and is either called Burnard or Burn Hard, Obsorne just called him Burny when they were playing card together.
