The back pair of pews have 4,000 sp each hidden therein, the next pair have 3,000 ep each, and the pair closest to the trapped pews have 2,000 gp each. It doesn't look like there's anything else in the hidden compartments.

Ubogri whistles. "These benches are full of coin," he says to the room. The half-orc takes one of each coin and inserts them into the slot one at a time, listening for distinctions in sounds the coins or anything else make as the coins disappear into the slot.
You do that but nothing happens, still the usual sound of cogs and stone.
If you'll ever want a hit I'm willing to give it to you. 3 out of 4 people must be wanting it tho. It might be not fun for someone being stuck with no clues on where to go or what to do.

I used 9 of the robe gems - 3 gems with no arm, 3 gems with the arm in the room, 3 gems with the arm next to the statue
I used 3 diamonds (600 gp worth) - with arm attached - No results.
Somebody can use their own gems, I'm done with that. Reviving dead companions is more important. If my diamond count goes "mysteriously less" then you will stay dead.

(Don’t worry, your diamonds are safe. Falmo values being alive more than money.)
Also, I would be fine with getting a hint, tbh. I wouldn't prefer it, but if other people want one, I would be down.
We already got a hint. The slot needs an actual magic ring. None of our characters has one. That means somewhere in this place there is a magic ring that we can put into the slot. We just have to find it.

Sorry, completely missed your post. I'm on phone atm so it's hard for me to check sheets etc. so I'll get back to you later. Just keep in mind that the money is still in the pews, no one picked it up yet

Hey, back from my long weekend away. Just going to catch up on the thread before doing anything, will most likely be back to posting tomorrow properly.
OK, going back and looking at past posts, I'm trying to find pieces of the puzzle we haven't looked at yet. I'm hesitant to check things out myself since Falmo has the reliable feat, making so much more sense for him to check things out.
Yet there are also depicted various religious symbols of good alignment. - Has anyone doing a religion check?
There is a mosaic path leading between four rows of wooden pews that face the worship area. - Has anyone perceived the mosaic?
In front of the pews, a wooden railing divides the room. - Have we looked at the railing?
The chair is nicely carved and padded but seems unremarkable. - Can the padding be cut? Maybe something is hidden inside?
In each corner on the southern wall is a large white pottery urn stoppered with a brass and wood plug. - Why haven't we inspected this yet?
On the opposite side of the archway you notice a small slot in the wall with the letter O faintly traced above. - The O is sticking out to me.
In front of the altar there is l is a block of strange material that glows with an inner light of opalescent blue. - Is there an I or is that a mistype? At any rate, have we inspected the block?
Jerigg, instead, casts a spell to reveal the nature of this place. What he finds out is that this place has a heavy aura of good all around it. - Just interesting.
I know there's something to be done with the gargoyle. In a PM, Vinter included a spoiler about it to give me an example of what the old campaign book looked like, but I didn't read it. So, that's kind of a hint. There's something to be done with the gargoyle; we just don't know what yet.
Anything anyone else wants to make sure we don't forget?
Ubogri, casting about after receiving no reward for trying the coins, looks at the wooden chair near the altar. Crossing to it, he takes out one of his shortswords and cuts into the padding to see if anything is concealed within.

For DM eyes only:
Falmo will make a Sleight of Hand check to attempt to pocket some of Obugri's findings: 35 or 25
Stealth to be hidden while doing so: 23 or 25
Lmao, of course this is what I crit on.

I go back to the red circle passage, throw in a light ballbearing for good measure.
I cast unseen servant and send Gunter to the end of the passage and have him come back.
If he comes back, I probe ahead with my spear and I investigate the passage.

Then yeah, you manage to get 150 coins without them noticing. I assume you'll take 150 gold ones but if that's not the case let me know.
Sounds good to me.

5 - Use caution with urns. Bad things are often in urns.
6 - We need a real magic ring for the slot. We just need to find it.
7 - The glowing thing is evil bad.
9 - The gargoyle did nothing after several attempts. Somebody else can try with their own gems.
I'm still trying to figure out the red circle passage.

After Falmo is done checking the urns, he will see if there is anything to be found in the red circle passage: 15 or 17
