When the bolt hits the water something moves in the water, but you see no shapes or anything, just a ripple of the surface. It is clear something is in there though.
Secundus says: "Mache cannot swim, but he can fly very low, he will scout ahead.... now that is just rude! Don't worry, he'll do it."
Mache, still invisible, flies 3 feet over the ground towards the statue. Secundus casts Detect Magic using his Eldritch sight, to see if he can glean anything about the glowing statue.
As Norelan pokes into the water a pseudopod grabs at his quarterstaff, but slips off of it. Out of the water rises a gray ooze then, ready to attack the group.
Initiative order is:
Donkee Hoetey Taman Stop, Thief! Rurik Ironfist Norelan Secundus Thormson shadowlight ooze mache
And after striking he moves back 20' away from the slimy beast
Are you using action surge then? Just want to make sure I have the attacks down... You did a regular 2-attack action, using scimitar and war hammer, then did your bonus action attack with your scimitar. Then you used action surge to attack again with your War hammer, but, if that is the case, then you should get another attack, since you get two attacks per action and action surge gives you an extra action.
No, with duel wield specialist feat I chose instead of ability score improvement, I get an extra attacking action altogether, not counting an action surge
Let's see if this works..if not it's on my character sheet
It didnt... its Extra Attack a special feat for lvl5
Donkee's hammer and Scimitar slam into the ooze with devistating hits, then the warrior skips back from the ooze, letting the monster get an attack as he moves away.
Oppertunity Attack:
To Hit: 12
If it hits: 7 bashing and 6 acid damage. Donkee's armor is corroded if it hits, taking a -1 penalty to AC.
Stop Thief shoots his short bow at the ooze, but no one is close by to give sneak attack, so it is just normal damage. Even so the ooze, half-frozen from Taman's spell, cracks and falls to the water, finished.
Making sure not to hit anyone or anything important Norelan fires a bolt into the water to see if anything goes after it or it triggers anything

Norelan pokes it with his quarterstaff and if it doesn't do anything he grabs it out of the water.

Donkee would notice his scimitar is now pitted and scored by the ooze's acid. The weapon has a -1 penalty to damage rolls.
