Coliseum of Conquest - The Rubble of the Coliseum (Chapter 2)
Recruiting players! The arenas need contestants.

Above you the skeleton of the once great Coliseum rests in ruins. Few can witness your battle in person, but you know scrying spells show your plight. At the University staff and students alike watch your progress. Some judge your performance, some may cheer you on, others prepare to face you themselves. But here and now, this battle is yours to fight.

Create a level three character with the standard array or 27-point buy stats. Please avoid Unearthed Arcana. In the interest of balance many such features will not be allowed. You may begin with your class and profession standard equipment as well as any armor and weapons you wish from the players handbook chapter 5. None of this equipment can be sold here for gold. You may also select one uncommon magic item not on the list below.
This list will expand as character levels increase.
You will be competing against other players. Some fights will be team fights, others, one-on-one. I'll change the arena around and adjust the battles based on player feed back, balance, and interest. If you go in one-on-one in one match you may be paired with your former enemy in another.
Ultimately champions will be granted prizes and will also find wealth and power. You have your own reasons for coming here.
House PVP rulings:
By sharing character sheets publicly you should be able to moderate yourselves a fair amount. Also the battle can be policed by the most terrifying judge there is... Everyone. This may make my work here run more smoothly.

If you are in agreement on the outcome of stated actions feel free to continue without waiting for my reply. As before, if there is no action in approximately a 24-hour period I will first PM inactive players before botting them approximately 24 hours from then.

The characters will know of the event about 12 hours (game time) before the match is to begin, the characters will be able to complete a long and short rest before the match. However, there is no indication of how long they will be waiting once they arrive. No spell effects with less than an hour duration will be active when the battle begins. Characters will recieve a short countdown of only a few seconds when the battle begins before the gates open. They will have only one round to prepare.

Spells of level-2 or higher which control allied creatures or which create summon or animate any creature (such as Conjure Elemental) shall not be used in the arena. Class features which summon or control creatures (Such as Ranger's Companion) may be used. The first level spell Find Familiar will also be permitted. Spells that do not create creatures (Such as Flaming Sphere) will be permitted as well.

Allies may act out of turn with each other (for the sake of action and interest.) Do not feel the need to wait for your ally to act before you post, feel free to set them up instead.

If you are stealthing or acting in a manner you do not wish your opponent to be aware of, PM the Game Master or place your actions in a spoiler. If you act so your opponent will be aware of your action, or must save against it, post the action publicly so they may do so at their earliest convenience.

When intending to use effective cover your opponent will need to be able to see the center of your space from the center of theirs to have visibility (line of sight) with 3/4 cover if you do not attack and approach from behind cover. Otherwise any visibility (from any part of your square to any part of their square) will give line of sight with applicable cover.

If you use a skill as an action, such as Hide, on one turn the effects will carry over to the end of the next turn. (Unless a feature specifies otherwise)
If you Hide and wish to remain hidden beyond the end of your next turn you will need to roll the ability check again, though you won't need to use another action.

If a character is unaware of your action it will need to beat their passive skill. For instances Stealth will go against the opponent's passive Perception or Investigation, unless you were fighting and moved out of sight to Hide. Then it would be contested

If you wish to use a skill to effect an opponent (i.e. Intimidation) it will be permitted, however, the effect will not be as great as with a spell of 1st level or higher, and will have inconsistent effects on success. The character targetted by a skill will contest with one of two skills as with grappling/shoving (Athletics, Acrobatics) so if you attempt to intimidate it will be contested by the others Intimidation or Insight. Roll 1d10 and find the effect of your skill on the table below.
If you use a skill as an action (or where its use is granted by a feature) as in the use of the Hide action, you will suffer no penalty for failure. However if you attempt a skill AND an action but fail, the penalty will grant the advantage to your opponent.

The next match will feature any interested level-4 contestants!
Under the rubble of the once great Coliseum an arena remains. A skinny old man prepares for the coming battle he's sent notice to the winners of the first battle of Eldin's school of would be adventurers.
To win this battle teams will need to defeat a powerful enemy on their opponents side of the map. Defend your ancient or defeat your enemies. If an entire team is knocked unconscious the opposing team will win without needing to defeat their opponent's ancient.
(3) It is poorly lit in the tunnels. Characters will suffer disadvantage on Ability Checks relying on sight even with Darkvision.
A maze of earthen tunnels weave between supports for the structures above. Here and there roots of trees on the surface penetrate into the tunnels and grow along the walls. In some places some cover is offered by low lying rubble. In a large room nearby an ancient construct stands against time.

Siege Monster. The ancient deals double damage to objects and structures.
Actions Draw Upon the Earth: The earth shakes violently around the ancient. The ancient heals 1d4+3 hit points and all creatures within 10 feet must succeed on a DC 13 dexterity saving throw or take 1d6+2 bludgeoning damage or half on a success. (The ancient will always do this if it has taken damage in the last round and no enemies are within range.)
Multiattack. The ancient makes two slam attacks.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (1d8 + 3) bludgeoning damage.
Throw stone. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit reach 30 ft., one target. Hit 14 (1d8+3)
(Any feedback on those stats is appreciated. I imagine we'll get a good sense of its effectiveness as an objective during play.)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rubble:
Xeno the Mad enters the arena. He wears heavy armor protecting his chest and legs and he carries a shield and several small weapons including an odd metal tube. His skin is covered in a thick golden fur and he bears sharp claws which would be ideal in the woods, but not so much here. (New-ish content... Make me look stuff up... Grumble grumble...)

Note if you have not used a feature to gain proficiency, you are not proficient with the pistol. Also it should not require an atunement slot.)
Grianne Wildpaw, the keeper of many forms, currently stands as an elven girl. She enters bare foot and wearing a dress of leaves. She carries a shield and staff.
Grianne:
Starting fresh you will no longer have access to a non-metal breastplate (It was probably a mistake to have given you that the first time.) You may choose another set of mundane non-metal armor.
Dorkas Frostwalker, a man with elvish charteristics, joins the scene wearing heavy chain armor and carrying a sword and three pointed spear.
Swigg M'goo the goblin, Saunders in strumming his guitar. He picks up the tempo and takes on an increased energy.

They will be defending the southern ancient construct (S). The opposing team will defend the northern ancient construct (N).
Each space on the grid is 5 ft. × 5 ft. In the example I've placed K at C-2. The proportions can be a bit confusing because the grid appears narrower than it is tall.)

Artificer'sare proficient in firearms. Its that newfangled character class. He's also a Simic Hybrid, which is where the natural climbing speed is coming from. Next level, more armor too! The attunement is because of another artificer feature (infusions), specifically the repeating shot one that makes a viable weapon a +1 and no longer have the loading property.
Xeno, with Gun's of the Patriot(Protector Turret) in hand, advances on the objective. Though not without calling out, "Guard it well, my Green Goober Goblin! I advance! And good luck against our old tree hugger friend."Once he reaches his destination he gives the command, causing legs to pop out the spherical totem's side and begin wander off further into the maze. Xeno takes a guarded position.
Ma: To 6-B(or as close to 5-B as possible). Ba: Command GotP to climb down him and moving to 8-A(or close to it as possible). Ac: Dodge.

I've added some notes in the Original Post (OP) including notes on summoned allies (no), rest between matches (yes), and prep time (little).
So you know what you're up against I've produce a stat block for the Ancient Constructs in this match:

Siege Monster. The ancient deals double damage to objects and structures.
Actions
Draw Upon the Earth: The earth shakes violently around the ancient. The ancient heals 1d4+3 hit points and all creatures within 10 feet must succeed on a DC 13 dexterity saving throw or take 1d6+2 bludgeoning damage or half on a success. (The ancient will always do this if it has taken damage in the last round and no enemies are within range.)
Multiattack. The ancient makes two slam attacks.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (1d8 + 3) bludgeoning damage.
Throw stone. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit reach 30 ft., one target. Hit 14 (1d8+3)
(Any feedback on those stats is appreciated. I imagine we'll get a good sense of its effectiveness as an objective during play.)

Rubble:
Xeno the Mad enters the arena. He wears heavy armor protecting his chest and legs and he carries a shield and several small weapons including an odd metal tube. His skin is covered in a thick golden fur and he bears sharp claws which would be ideal in the woods, but not so much here. (New-ish content... Make me look stuff up... Grumble grumble...)

Grianne Wildpaw, the keeper of many forms, currently stands as an elven girl. She enters bare foot and wearing a dress of leaves. She carries a shield and staff.
Grianne:
Starting fresh you will no longer have access to a non-metal breastplate (It was probably a mistake to have given you that the first time.) You may choose another set of mundane non-metal armor.
Dorkas Frostwalker, a man with elvish charteristics, joins the scene wearing heavy chain armor and carrying a sword and three pointed spear.
Swigg M'goo the goblin, Saunders in strumming his guitar. He picks up the tempo and takes on an increased energy.
Swigg:
It looks like you meant to include your character sheet, but it is not here.
Xeno will fight with (4)... Swigg.
They will be defending the southern ancient construct (S). The opposing team will defend the northern ancient construct (N).
Each competitor begins the match with one Potion of Healing.
Rubble: (Round 0)
Xeno creates a totem that grants him and Swigg a boost of energy.
After a wait of some time a feeble I'd voice calls out from inside the arena "Five! Four? Mmm... Three, two... Begin." He says.
Swigg disappears quietly inside a conspicuous stone.
The gates open abruptly, the source of the voice unseen in the dark tunnels beyond.

Xeno, with Gun's of the Patriot(Protector Turret) in hand, advances on the objective. Though not without calling out, "Guard it well, my Green Goober Goblin! I advance! And good luck against our old tree hugger friend." Once he reaches his destination he gives the command, causing legs to pop out the spherical totem's side and begin wander off further into the maze. Xeno takes a guarded position.
