Guy will look at these birds will prepare the Dodge."Uh, should we run or are we fighting 'em?" 

With everyone squawking back and forth, Guy isn't sure what's going down, but he's ready if it turns to combat.

The three birds closest to Mark, including the alpha, sprint forward, slashing at him with their beaks.

Alpha Attack: 14 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.

Attack: 8 Damage: 6

Attack: 23 Damage: 8

Even without his shield equipped, their beaks are either avoided by Mark, or they clatter harmlessly off his armor.

Two others lunge past to get adjacent to Blue and Big Un, but aren't able to attack, while the last is left towards the back.

These things are fast! If you'd tried to flee, they would have run you down handily.

Big Un whips out the wand and points it at the birds... it feels natural, but he's pretty sure he doesn't need it to do the fire bolty thing he's been doing. He gives it a shake. He has a feeling that it WILL allow him to do something though...

Ember curses that she doesn't have a more appropriate weapon, but draws her dagger and moves up beside Blue. "I don't think we can run!" She will try to stab the bird adjacent to Blue.

Attack: 7

Do I roll the base damage?? (3)

Mark looks at the alpha, and draws his axe and shield.

To the birds: "We don't want to hurt you, but will defend ourselves."

Hoping he can end the fight quickly by defeating the alpha, he takes a swing, and as the desire to protect the rest of his group fills him, channels his energy through his strike.

Attack: 15 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. 

Damage + Divine Smite: 13 

Mark then falls back a few steps, in an effort to get in the way of the birds and any of his group.

EDIT: Damage dice didn't roll properly

On his turn, Blue will cast poison spray on his bird.

Con save or 6 poison damage

Talon takes to the air, rising 20ft. He pulls out the hand crossbow and loads a bolt. (Can I shoot this turn?)

Seeing Mark engaged with so many of them, he shouts encouragements: "You fought a giant cat, this is nothing!" (Bardic Inspiration)

Mark swings his axe down on the lead bird, hitting it and bursting forth a vibrant green light. Feathers curl up and sizzle and the beach is scented with burnt feather, but the creature still stands.

Ember tries to help take some of the pressure off Blue, but misses with her swing.

Talon beats his wings, and takes to the sky, spiraling over head as he draws down with his hand crossbow, calling out encouragement to Mark, though Mark doesn't feel particularly inspired after how that cat fight went.. ((Go ahead and take your shot.))

Blue puffs a bit of poison at the bird nearest him.

Con Save: 8

Alpha Bird: -13

(OOC:  No strength bonus? O.o)

Talon's attack (no modifiers) against the alpha (getting closer if needed):

Attack: 8 Damage: 3

Talon drifts a bit closer, loosing his bolt into the same bird that Mark hit. It's looking somewhat rough, but also looks very pissed off.

((Guy is up, I don't mind if you guys post in advance, I'll apply them in order as long as they are logical. But if what you'd do is very conditional, I'd rather you wait than have a 12 step series of If>Then statements I have to parse. ;P ))

Guy will move up to to to Blue and help him fight that bird using his dagger.
