Before the magical hand can even complete its motion, Dorkas' collapses under the life drawing magic of the time wizard. And with that, a horn blares and signal firebolts of various coloration flies up into the sky, signaling an end to the match. Constructs and medical staff enter the arena both to further ensure the stability of conditions and escorts the defeated to the trauma ward with a backdrop of cheers and applause for having fought valiant despite it all. For their participation and experience garnered in the coliseum, Dorkas and Olly receive 8000 xp and 2720 gp. Just enough for Dorkas to advance, as well as receive a rare prize token.
The victor is taken below to be patched up and receive their prize on the receding sounds of a crowd's cheers and well wishes. Nock and Koplony earns 16000 xp and 6800 gp, and are ready to proceed to the next round as well.
Tier 3:
"Take any one item. We're well equipped." The room contains every item from Chapter 5 of the Player's Handbook weighing 70 pounds or less, armor of varying sizes, instruments, tool kits. There are also spell scrolls, every first level spell is present (as well as spell scrolls of a level for which a magic user of the characters new level would have slots for), and an encyclopedia of knowledge. Reading these books will grant you proficiency with any one tool kit or any one language, depending which book you choose. The books are magically infused to allow easy retention, but the magic is lost once used.
Upper Tier:
The victor may choose instead, an item from a magically infused chest that summons 10 randomly selected magic items to choose from (rarity determined by level). Alternatively they may exchange a magic item for another item of their choosing of the same rarity or lower, if the administrator has the requested item in his extensive collection. As the sun continues rises over the horizon in Seleman, Arena Shapers and Constructs show no signs of stopping in making sure the next arena is up and ready for the next wave of competitors. By the end, the pit yet promises to be a bit muddy from the light drizzle going on head from the weather.
To win: 4... Control Points - Four flags in the arena can be captured by begining and ending a turn within 10 feet. Control all four, or control more than your opponents for five rounds.
The conditions: 1... Day(wet) - As the day continues the weather doesn't let up. It's difficult to tell the time of day through the overcast sky. In the poor lighting checks relying on sight will suffer disadvantage without Darkvision
The Map: 11.... The Pits - A fairly typical fighting ring in a hole in the ground. Its a short 10 foot drop into the pit, and the edges are sloped and course. They would be easy to climb. In the bottom of the pit, the earth is turned up from fighting, yet tufts of grass sprout up here and there, as though it recently had grass all throughout. On either side of the pit is a set of steps. You and your opponent are on opposite ends with wooden walls for cover.

Fully refreshed after resting from the previous battle, Namor strode back toward the newly-modified arena.
He was eager to try out his new tricks, but held his glaive close as he whispered the spell for an older one first. Immediately frost covered his body, offering him a bit of protection from his opponents. As it did, the sailor focused mentally, and the tattoo covering his arm began to glow for a few seconds before fading.
The warlock grinned cockily, and settled into his chosen spot.
As the contestants enter the arena, Marmaduke, a hill dwarf with blue scales in place of skin in places, flies out and above the arena to an already excited crowd, and then announces with a booming voice. "Ladies, Gentlemen, and All things in-between or beyond! Welcome to the Coliseum!" The crowd roar and cheers for a moment. "Now, I hope you're ready for another exciting match, for without further adieu, allow me to introduce your competitors!"
"First and foremost, hailing from parts unknown, but seeming blessed by the a deity of the Forge is none other than Addison Bennet!" A human woman in hide armor blessed by Moradin takes her place in the staging area, with shield in hand, and a moon sickle at her hip.
"Speaking of the seas again, it seems the catch of the day is a bit of a champion of a Deep One, Namor the Nefarious!" A human man swaggers onto the staging area with glaive in hand, frost covered plate armor worn, and what little can be seen of tattoos coming to life, further empowering him.

Namor was a bit surprised he had no teammates this time. He'd been thinking his newest trick might affect them, but he was able to chuckle now; he had nothing to be concerned about, it seemed.
Levitating just off the ground, he rushed around onto the battlefield--and immediately noticed the eerie quiet. A bit unnerved that it had projected so close to his entrance, he moved along the wall for a bit until his hearing returned. "Ah, somewhere that way," he thought, not bothering to put much more thought into it now. Instead, he took the opportunity to cast a bit more magic--"while I still can, at least,"--and watched as a sphere of darkness grew from the tip of his glaive to fully encompass him.
"Now we're talking!" he bellowed, almost exuberant in his first use of the spell. Now, even if he hadn't yet spotted his opponent, he at least had his defenses ready.

I concede.
Everything either requires line of sight or will be at constant disadvantage. There is no way I can see through or dispel the darkness either.
Not worth anybody's time to fight out an extended chase scene.
Congratulations.

In a surprising turn of events, a darkness enshrouded Namor can perhaps make out Addison with her hand raised high and calling out a surrender, ending the match in record time! For their participation and experience garnered in the coliseum, Addison receive 2500 xp and 240 gp.
The victor is taken below to be patched up and receive their prize on the receding sounds of a crowd's cheers and well wishes. Namor earns 3800 xp and 600 gp, and are ready to proceed to the next round as well.
Tier 2:
"You name it, we've probably got one somewhere."
Namor:
Potion of Fire Breath, Sentinel Shield, Potion of Greater Healing, Ring of Mind Shielding, Sword of Vengeance(shortsword), Spell Scroll (Water Walk), +1 Ammunition (20 Crossbow Bolts), Potion of Poison, +1 Rod of the Pact Keeper, +1 Shield.

Though disappointed, Namor dropped his field of darkness and saluted Addison as he left the arena.
"Well, let's take a look here, then," he said to himself (aloud) before choosing the Ring of Mind Shielding from his treasure chest.
The sailor put it on immediately, then nodded his thanks to those supervising his selection before heading back to the tavern.

The next match will feature any interested level-8 competitors. The match will begin in roughly 48 hours. Or sooner, if all level contestants gather before then.
As the sun soon reached its zenith in the sky, blocked only by clouds yet promising a storm in Seleman's near future, Arena Shapers and Constructs show no signs of stopping in making sure the next arena is up and ready for the next wave of competitors. Which would not require much, as the last fight had been quick and bloodless!
To win: 4... Survival - After 3 rounds a lethal hazard will appear. Defeat your enemies while you still can!
The conditions: 2...Noontide - An overcast sky promises a storm in the future. While runes in place will protect both competitors and viewers alike from the downpower, the poor lightning renders checks relying on sight to suffer disadvantage without darkvision.
The Map:
6.... You and your opponent are on opposite ends with wooden walls for cover.Special DM Note to save Construction Time:

Lenaila will enter the arena, scanning the familiar battlefield with interest, and scanning the sky: "Looks like a storm brewing! Let the thunder roll! And slams her lyre, sending sparks crackling down the strings, as 4 copies of herself spring into existence around her, lending their song to the chorus.

Undeterred, the maroon-cowled Warforged calmly strides into the arena, weighing the possibilities of its success during this day's iteration of combat. Halting reasonably close to the gateways into the arena (C3), Chronolo's synthetic voicebox crackles a very familiar incantation when the battle commences. Chronolo's clockwork owl hovers nearby.
