Bug: "evocation savant" (and probably other wizard subclasses) have a list of two chosen spell on the feature unlock at level 3. When selected and prepared, the character sheet will show two separate entries (duplicate) for the spell - one for the feature, the other from prepared spells list. The duplicate entry from the feature is not calculating full spell attack/DC if the character has an improved arcane focus.
in the 2024 PHB on the website, the link to the Wild Magic Surge (which appears later on the same page) is broken. It leads to the 404 about the Halfling stealing the information
I can access to the 2024 PHB no issue, my entitlements data is in synch. However I can't access the "Befuddlement" spell. Even from within the 2024 PHB, when I click on the spell title it tells me I need to purchase the 2024 PHB.
Spiritual Weapon - Damage dice in the Character Sheet scales every 2 levels above 2nd, instead of scaling every level above 2nd.
Spirit Guardians - The necrotic damage dice in the Character Sheet does not scale with level. Only the radiant damage scales.
Missing Features - 2024:
Cleric, Improved Blessed Strikes - Does not have a description in the Character Builder or the Character Sheet that explains what it does. It's only text says "The option you chose for Blessed Strikes grows more powerful." But fails to tell you HOW it grew more powerful. This isn't as much a problem for Divine Strike, since the damage scales automatically. But Potent Spellcasting's improvement is nowhere to be seen Anywhere on the Character Sheet.
Please add All the info for Improved Blessed Strikes, both in the Character Builder, and have it all show up in the Character Sheet. Players should be able to read the ability in full, as well as have their improved features show up in the Character Sheet.
Hello! I've been messing around with the character creator with the 2024 Player's Handbook. While I do appreciate the updated ruleset, there are a number of issues I've discovered, including but not limited to:
Unable to select the 2024 versions of spells as an Artificer. Additionally, its subclasses only have the legacy version of the spells.
Other subclasses for the rest of the classes that didn't appear in the 2024 PHB but are selectable only have the legacy version of the spells.
The Infusions only apply to legacy items (i.e. Enhanced Arcane Focus with the legacy versions of the staff, rod, and wand; Replicate Magic Item; Spell-Refueling Ring, Helm of Awareness, etc.).
The Warlock's Pact Blade does not apply Charisma modifier to weapon damage rolls.
Feats that let you select features such as Fighting Initiate, Eldritch Adept, and Metamagic Adept are limited to their pre-2024 options.
Backgrounds prior to the release of the 2024 version of the Player's Handbook that give feats only give the legacy version.
Choosing the Divine Soul subclass for the 2024 Sorcerer does not add Cleric spells to the Sorcerer's spell list. (FIXED!)
Certain classes for various feats (Elemental Adept, Fighting Style feats, Spell Sniper, War Caster, etc.) don't seem to meet the prerequisites.
When Rangers and Paladins choose a Fighting Style at level 2, there is no option.
Medium Armor Master requires a Dexterity of 16 or higher, despite its prerequisites saying it doesn't. (FIXED!)
When applying the Ability Score Improvement feat, one can raise their ability score above 20.
Selecting spells from the Ritual Caster feat does not display said spells on the character sheet.
When receiving spells from the Paladin subclasses, species, and feats, the button next to the spell says At-Will instead of Use or Cast.
The Wizard's Spell Mastery feature would not let you upcast level 3 spells. Neither does Signature Spells.
The number of Attacks remain 1 despite classes granting the Extra Attack feature. (fixed for the Barbarian, Monk, Ranger, and Paladin; partially fixed for the Fighter, works with the Warlock's Thirsting Blade invocation, but not Devouring Blade. NOTE: The fighter's features on the character sheet shows the correct amount of attacks)
For the 2024 version of the Druid, Cleric, and Wizard, the number of spells they can prepare is still tied to their class level plus their spellcasting modifier. (fixed for the Druid)
The Monk's Warrior of Mercy subclass' Hand of Healing summary has "scalevalue - No level scale data available" instead of its intended value.
When clicking on Sources at the top, the Player's Handbook (2024) isn't in the Featured section, requiring people to view all sources. (FIXED!)
At times, when using a pre-2024 species with Tasha's Customize Your Origin feature with the 2024 backgrounds, the option to increase your ability scores isn't there. (seems to be fixed)
The 2024 version of the Warlock is not able to pick options from Xanathar's Guide to Everything and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, such as Improved Pact Weapon.
Hands of Harm and Healing does not add a Monk's Wisdom modifier to the dice.
While a spell scroll has a link to its 2014 page in the 2024 PHB compendium, the 2024 version of a potion of healing doesn't. Instead, it leads to its marketplace page. (FIXED!)
Bards still apply half of their proficiency bonus to their Initiative. (FIXED!)
Common Sign Language cannot be selected in the character builder nor on the sheet. (FIXED!)
Rogues can't pick a rare language. Additionally, they can apply Expertise to Thieves' Tools.
The Gloom Stalker's Umbral Sight feature does not increase the range of a species' darkvision.
The Champion subclass gives the Fighter a feat instead of just being limited to a fighting style feat.
The Fighter's Weapon Mastery feature at level 4 is missing on the Character Builder.
The 2024 version of Cure Wounds is categorized as an evocation spell instead of abjuration. (FIXED!)
The Life Domain subclass is missing Aid in the character builder.
The Ranger subclasses don't add the spells prepared from the list, in addition to the Fey Wanderer using the legacy version of Misty Step and Summon Fey. (FIXED!)
The Goliath has advantage on all skills on the character sheet.
The Eldritch Knight subclass' spells thinks it's two higher levels (class wise) than it's at. At levels 18 to 20, they can pick an infinite number of spells.
The Fog of War feature for the Skulker feat is not on the Feats page nor in the character builder and sheet, but it's in the Player's Handbook 2024 compendium.
The Arcane Trickster subclass for the Rogue know one extra cantrip despite automatically learning Mage Hand.
Etc. I will add more should I find more issues.
I do appreciate the developers and coders taking their time to fix any bugs and glitches. Better to have the buggy stuff during early access than at full launch.
Not only does the pole strike feature of polearm master only use your dex for the attack, it also doesn't include your proficiency bonus to the attack.
Trident has the topple mstery but is still only available as a 1d6/1d8 weapon, for some reason. It's not even a cast of a "legacy" trident and a "new" trident, there's just one trident and it's got the old damage die.
Also, Sorcerer number of spells known is still the 2014 ammount, it seems. At level 18 i get 15 spells, sourcebook says that number should be 20
Missing Feature Report:
No Separation Between 2014 Weapons and 2024 Weapons - In a pre-existing 2014 Characters Sheet, my characters weapons all show the new Weapon Masteries as part of the weapon's Properties list. This is because there is no 2014 weapon and 2024 weapon. Which... there should be. Especially because some weapons, like the Trident as the Quote Post stated, are different from their 2014 counterparts.
There needs to be a separation between the two. Create Legacy versions of the old weapons, just like they did with 2014 Magic Items.
Might want to check some code, as of the moment, you can not select the Ability Score Improvement more than once in the character editor for 2024. At least it's not letting me with only access to the free rule book.
I believe they said none of the 3rd party stuff is going to be added until the 3rd party company updates their subclasses to 2024. So, it may be a while until you can select those for a 2024 character.
They are listed in the book and digital copy of the book (chapter 4, the first line under backgrounds is what ability scores are applicable). When creating a character, they are in the background section right below your origin feat. (This may have been fixed since you posted, I don't know but it works now).
I don't know if anyone answered this for you. But it should show up in your sources tab. When doing character generation, it is doing it using the 2024 rules. There is no toggle that says you are, it is just what it uses unless you select something marked legacy content. If you have the 2024 PHB in your sources, then you should be good. You may have to sync your account. If not, contact customer services and they can help you. It may take a bit because they are swamped with questions.
I have found two issues with beyonds integration so far. I cant see legacy spells for 2024 classes other than one or two per spell level. All subclasses arent avalible to choose such as echoknight fighter or arcane archer.
Here are just a few bugs of things that I have encountered so far while playing around in the character creator, I'm sure things will get ironed out before full release but it's worth documenting them so they get the attention they need.
In the Classes section of Game Rules the class and subclass features do not indicate what level they are awarded.
Ritual Caster feat - not functioning correctly. Main dropdown has classes AND stats (int, cha, wis) in it. If you select a casting stat from the dropdown you indeed benefit from the +1 increase, however the ritual spells you then subsequently choose in the following dropdown menus do not appear in your characters known spells on the character sheet. If you choose a class from the stat increase dropdown you do not benefit from the +1 to a chosen stat and when you select the ritual caster spells you A) Aren't given enough dropdowns to correspond with your current proficiency bonus, my character has +4 proficiency and only has 3 dropdowns to choose spells from, and B) the third dropdown menu doesn't have any options in it.
Fighting Style - Ranger and Paladin are unable to select a fighting style from their dropdown menus.
Warlock Invocations - Agonizing Blast does not let you select one of your warlock cantrips to apply the bonus to, defaults to eldritch blast whether you have chosen eldritch blast as one of your cantrips or not. Also currently only able to select this invocation once, despite being a repeatable invocation.
Interesting when I go to look at Class Features on my Wrath of the Sea Druid, the Wrath of the Sea listing has a line that simply states no choice mad along with the rest of the material for the listing. Given that is no choices listed for that ability I find this to be a touch odd. Likely just old code that should have been removed but it is worth noting in case it is messing up something else in the character sheet.

I am synced before any one asks...
Character creation. Not all races showing up in the players handbook 2024. Dwarf, Elf, Human, and Halfling showing up as DND Free Rules.
There are two Holy Nimbus entries in the Oath of Devotion subclass. One of them is marked as hidden. This is a redundant bug oversight.

From what I can tell, you cannot access any 2024 PHB features from a 2014 character. I had to rebuild him from scratch with the legacy options on.

Great work! Thanks.
In regard to this:
I don't think any of those feats are in the 2024 PHB. Hence why you are seeing only the 2014 versions.

I got my digitals, but apparently, we have to wait until the regular date for our hardcopy books.

Bug:
Illusion wizard have all Illusion spells greater than 10ft range increased by 60ft and have verbal component requirement removed.
If [[[Illusion wizard lvl]] = >3 then -V +60ft]]
Something like that?
