Im not totally in love with it as it is now, but here is my idea for a feat
Legacy of Redemption
Prerequisite - Tiefling (Race)
Seeking to separate yourself from your hellish bloodline, you gain the following benefits:
You learn the Light cantrip. You also learn two 1st level spells of your choice from the Cleric or Paladin spell list, which can each be cast once using this feature. You must finish a long rest to cast these spells with this feature again. You can cast each of these spells again prior to completing a rest after casting a spell of 2nd level or higher using your Infernal Legacy trait (or similar spellcasting racial trait). Charisma is your spellcasting modifier for these spells.
Choose one of the Channel Divinity options available to Clerics or Paladins. You can use the chosen option once and regain the ability to use the option again when you finish a short or long rest. You can also use the chosen option again by expending a use of your Channel Divinity feature, if you have it. If the chosen option requires a saving throw, the DC is equal to 8+your proficiency bonus+your Charisma modifier.

It’s great until your realize that you can use it to grab touch of death or path to the grave and inflict wounds. Then you realize that it still works perfectly fine.

Interesting point. Could be worth changing it to two specific Cleric/Paladin spells rather than giving them a choice of any. The idea is to highlight more celestial/holy spells to balance the hellish legacy, lol

I still like it like this. It can be used as a way to show a connection to darkness and evil as well (with light being illusionary hellfire or something).

True, but if that route is allowed then there isnt any real "balance" between the light and dark. It just enhances the darkness

I was hoping to have another language pass, but I have not yet been inspired and if I don’t submit it now I’ll forget before the deadline, so here goes. Sorry it’s still not polished. If I make any more alterations before the deadline I will post the updated version.
So… how does this work now? Is there a winner or something?
Not really.

As an idea for a future Magical Monday theme, what about "Revisions Galore"
Take something you find to be poorly executed and rework it whether it be a particular subclass (PDK, Battlerager, 4EM), feat, spell, etc. You could also put forward ideas for optional/variant class features. The main theme is the idea to fix or even just reimagine something that already exists rather than make something completely new.

Today's magical Monday is Revision. Take any official monster, subclass, spell, magic item, race, feat, or other homebrew* that you think was created poorly, and create your own rerowk of it! You have until next Monday to submit your homebrew. I will put all submitted homebrew in the original post. Happy Homebrewing!
*Other homebrew includes anything else homebrew, such as eldritch invocations, epic boons, fighting styles, variant rules, backgrounds, mundane items, ect.
Monks of the Way of the Ghost are enamored with the powers of death and souls. They experiment with the powers of death and decay in order to learn the magics that surround a creature at the moment of their demise. They then use this magic to guide their understanding of ki, empowering themselves with undeath.
Soul Tap
You can tap into and alter the soul of a creature you attack with your Flurry of Blows. Whenever you hit a creature with an attack granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, the target's soul is tapped for the next minute. You can only tap a creature in this way once per short rest.
As a bonus action on each subsequent turn while a creature who's soul you have tapped is within 60 feet of you, you can create one of the following effects. The creature may then repeat its Constitution saving throw, ending the effect on a success.
The creature takes necrotic or psychic damage (your choice) equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die, and you regain 1 ki point.
You teleport up to 30 feet in the direction of the creature who's soul you have tapped.
The creature can't take reactions until the start of its next turn.
Undeathly Step
When you take damage, you can instead use your reaction to take no damage, and teleport to one unoccupied square within 10 feet of you. You can use this feature once per short or long rest, unless you spend 2 or more ki points to use this feature again.
Mastery of Death
You can escape death. When you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can expend 1 ki point (no action required) to regain hit points equal to two rolls of your Martial Arts die. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Touch of Withering
You can fill a creature with the souls of the dead. As an action, you touch one creature within 5 feet of you, and you expend 1 to 10 ki points. The target must make a Constitution saving throw, and it takes 1d10 necrotic damage per ki point spent on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The creature takes an additional 1d10 psychic damage for each ki point spent if it has been tapped by your Soul Tap feature.
You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Alternative to the Way of the Long Death (heavily altered, so hopefully copyrights free)

It pretty strong. Regaining ki points as a bonus action with no cost (plus damage) is very powerful.

Im gonna try and write something new for this thread, but just want to also put forward something I have been working on for a while now and recently posted to the threads here. Its a rework of the 4 elements monk imagining it as a 1/3 caster similar to the Eldritch Knight and Arcane Trickster
Apparently I missed #8, but will there be a #9 by chance? I don’t like to participate in the “competition” threads like this, but since this one is not competitive I was looking forward to semi-regular excuse to build stuff inspired by someone else’s inspirations. Did I just happen to find this near the end of its span, or is this just on hold for the time being?
Sorry! I let this die... My Mondays are currently extremely busy, so I may have to move it to Friday or something. But I will make an attempt to resurrect the thread.
