so I'm making a spell and I was able to get the dice count to scale according to spell level but I cant figure out how to get the fixed value to scale the same way the dice do. the spell is level one base 2d4+2 I can't get the 2 to got 3,4,5, etc. but I got the dice count to go up.
Traditionally that +n is equal to the spellcasting stat. If you created this spell off of a template I would assume that is what is happening by default. I would recommend looking at the homebrew FAQ linked in my signature in blue.
Again, I direct you to the Homebrew FAQ linked in blue in my signature (and also linked here) if you haven't already. It is a consolidated list of how-tos for almost everything possible within the system. I'm not familiar with that spell, nor do I have access to that UA content on dndbeyond so I can't see how it is made and help you adjust it unfortunately.
(Note that it effectively creates a regular potion of healing, healing for 2d4+2 hit points, without any upscaling for higher levels. I'm not sure your DM realizes what they're dealing with here, since you'd be able to create the equivalent of a greater potion of healing (4d4+4) using a 3rd-level spell slot as a wizard or warlock... but that's their problem.)
In any case, under Basic Information, set Higher Level Scaling Type to "Spell Scale", then in the At Higher Levels section, use this:
Hrm, in that case, I think you would need to use "Spell Level" type scaling, and then you'd need to put in the exact amount of dice & fixed value for each higher level (2-9).

see that's the thing I have set the fixed value for spell scale to 1 and it isn't registering.
Fixed value currently does not scale with level.
