Hi all, I've been poking around in the builder trying to add this feature from the Arkadia supplement to a sublcass for my players. The feature reads:
"When you prepare your spells each day, you can prepare an additional number of spells equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum 1)."
In the FAQ I found good start under Homebrew Subclasses & Races FAQ question 15 (link provided below), but that only seems limited to a single spell added. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could get this to scale by intelligence? Thanks in advance for any help!
There’s no real way to get it to scale by Int mod. What you would have to do is add that single instance to the feature 6 times, and trust the player to only prepare the appropriate number of additional spells for their character. (I wrote 6 times in case they read the tome of clear thought and increase their Int to 22.)
I don't see a way to limit the choices to only spells from your spellbook. Even if you make 6 instances, the list of spells they can choose from will be all the wizard spells, not just the handful they have in their book. That or you hard code in each spell they've added to their book each time they add a new spell.
I looked at adding that Arcadia thing to DDB a long while back, it looks convoluted. Good luck.

Yeah, it’s gonna take the honor system and a trustworthy player to make it work.
