Exactly what it sounds like. I am trying to make a home brew subclass with a differently sized hit die, but but I haven’t been able to figure out how to set this. Is there something I’m missing or is it just not possible right now.
Hit Die is part of the core class, not the subclass.
If you wish for the subclass to have more hit points, I suggest granting bonus hit points. You can also have the feature specify that the subclass gains extra hit points per die when expending them as part of a short rest.

It's not possible with the homebrew tools.

Sounds good. Thank you!!
How can you have the feature specify that the subclass gains extra hit points per die when expending them as part of a short rest?
You would just do it in plain text, there’s no way to automate that in the system.
