This is my first homebrewed spell that I actually took seriously. I have no clue whether it's balanced properly and wanted to see what you guys thought.
FYI- Creating a new version will fix that, but it will leave a ghost of the old version in your homebrewer forever. Any time you flip through spells to add to an item or subclass or whatever it will show you every version of this spell, even the old versions, even if they are not in your collection. They will haunt you forever, and unless you change the name you will have to figure out which one is the current version.
I'd say this spell is strictly worse than Elemental Weapon(spell), except that it is explicitly allowed to work on magic weapons, which makes it comparable to Holy Weapon.
The most original quality is that it allows for a two-handed weapon to be wielded with one hand, which is potentially problematic, as it creates the possibility of dual-wielding great swords. However, if someone it burning two 3rd level spell slots to achieve that, then I'm not really that concerned.
I'd be willing to see the spell playtested, except that it's a little too complicated to be practical. My recommendation would be the following:
-Drop weapon damage scaling. -Keep +d4 damage for all weapons. -Make the spell concentration -Increase the duration to 1 hour -Drop the line "the spell ends if you cast it again or let go of the weapon". -Replace the material component with "* - (a melee weapon worth at least 1 sp)"

I did publish it, before realising that balancing might be an issue. I think creating a new version fixes that though.

Oh well, I'll just stick a V2 on the end of a fix then. Did you have any thoughts on it?
