Calling upon one of those useful little cantrips she learned as an apprentice, Cerlinde lifts the grappling hook with her ghostly mage hand and begins to float it over the gap, while Malichi remembers to hang onto the loose end of the rope. It reaches the other side, and goes about 5 feet beyond the lip. After a few tries and much gesticulating and brow-furrowing, the elf wizardess manages to get the hook securely lodged in some webbing along the wall (unless you wanted it somewhere else? could attach to the floor or the ceiling as well). It is about waist-high on the left side of the tunnel. Malichi gives the rope a few strong tugs, and it seems to be securely attached.
(dyumi can get himself to the other side and assist if needed)

Zensiro gladly accepts a small helping of the ointment. Upon applying it, the pain in his arm and torso vanishes and he feels a substantial measure of his vigour return. Letting out a sigh of relief, Zensiro says, "Now that's just what I needed. Remarkable stuff, this ointment! I'll be much better able to help the party without that poison burning in my veins. Brilliant work, all, in getting this line set up. Malichi, it seems that it will hold? I'd guess we should cross one at a time. Dyumi, if you can reach the other side to aid in the transit, that would indeed be of great help. Everyone, keep your eyes open! Another ambush seems likely . . ."
Restorative Ointment - 4 HP regained
(What would you want for observing the passage across for threats? e.g., rolled or passive Perception, Investigation?) (Also, did I say substantial? I stand corrected. Two 1's on the rolls, thanks DDB!)
(Malichi, please make a sleight of hand or survival check for securing the near end of the rope)
(Zensiro- is he trying to assess for threats before the crosses or after? Being that it is a little over 20 feet to solid ground on the other side, I think it would be difficult to do this very thoroughly beyond just what you can see with darkvision and listening. I would say that, depending on how you cross over, you might be distracted by trying not to fall into the abyss.)
Crossing over- Let me know if you are going one at a time or if there will be more than one PC on the rope/web simultaneously. I am imagining walking slowly over the webbing with a firm grip on the rope in case the lattice gives way. If you are planning something else, like hanging from the ceiling or whatever, let me know. If you cross, please post your current total weight (PC + inventory) but don't include coins, and make either an Athletics or an Acrobatics check.

(Agreed on the difficulties and potential distractions. I would suggest that, if it's possible to avoid burning the webbing or rope, we light a torch on either end of the chasm - I'm assuming Dyumi is planning to wild shape to a spider or centipede and crawl across the wall/ceiling - to provide sufficient illumination, given that our presence is not exactly a secret at this point. Also, if the light is a trigger, lighting it before anyone is one the rope would hopefully prevent an ambush on the rope by flushing out any critters that didn't get triggered by the candlelight. At this point, Zensiro would be observing the 20' expanse over the course of the various passages, done one at a time. Probably using Perception in this case, given that it's from afar and not looking in detail at any specific location. I'd also suggest that we rig harnesses from our other ropes - Zensiro has 50' - to attach ourselves directly to the transit rope in case the web gives way. Maybe Sleight of Hand checks from the person tying the rope harnesses, probably Malichi or whoever has the best chance of succeeding. Also, Zensiro can go last and Misty Step across if there are concerns about the integrity of the rope at that point. Thoughts from DM or party?)
While she casts Mage Hand Malichi watches Cerlinde intently, fascinated, silently mouthing the words of the incantation as she speaks them. He then ties the end of the rope

Zithers, along with his gear and the tin of healing salve is about 115 pounds, (40 pounds of gnome, and 50 pounds of gear, along with an around 25 lb tin of ointment) so carrying the giant silver coin across is out of the question, at least for him. He will cross alone, and cross wherever is next in order of posting, muttering to himself about heights the walk across. (Athletics: 14)
So far, everyone* has made it across successfully. You do notice, however, that the web over the chasm seems to pick up the vibrations of your footsteps, and amplify them, and you sense that these vibrations are being transmitted through the strands leading deeper into the tunnel.
*EDIT- Dyumi, I need either an Acrobatics or an Athletics check for you.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Okay then, guess we're just going for it. Zensiro's weight ~= 145 body + 110 equipment = 255 lbs)
Zensiro will carefully take to the rope and webbing. With the incantation for Misty Step on the tip of his tongue, like Cerlinde, he will forgo attaching himself via a harness to the rope stretching across the chasm. While recognizing that with each step they're likely sending signals of their presence to the beasts deeper within the tunnel, there's little to be done about it now. With the extra weight of his equipment, Zensiro is particularly attentive to the integrity of the webbing and keeps a good grip on the rope.
As Zensiro crosses the gap, he happens to look down. About 20 feet below the "floor" of webbing, he can see a small ledge jutting out from the side of the deep crevice, and an opening beside the ledge emitting a faint, glowing light. He successfully crosses to the other side, and is now back on solid ground.
The gap is now to the west of your party, with the tunnel you have already traversed beyond it. To the east, the tunnel continues into the darkness.

Dyumi is making his way across, when a sudden sneeze overtakes the ancient Firbolg, and he loses his grip on the rope. The webbing beneath him streeeeeetches then breaks, sending him sliding down the rock wall. He can misty step or he can attempt to land on the small ledge Zensiro saw. Or he can try something else. If he wants to try landing on the ledge, roll another Athletics or Acrobatics. Also, one of the others is free to try to aid you in some way.
(Zensiro you can retcon your turn as this technically occurred before you crossed. If you want.)

“zensiro, try some of the healing salve Amos gave us. I can position your grappling hook with rope across that pit using magic, if you like?”
She uses mage hand to position the grappling hook in a solid place of webbing on the far side of the pit.
Calling upon one of those useful little cantrips she learned as an apprentice, Cerlinde lifts the grappling hook with her ghostly mage hand and begins to float it over the gap, while Malichi remembers to hang onto the loose end of the rope. but she doesn’t need it, nimbly shimmies across I assume..
(Argh got the manipulation tag- I just added my comment at the bottom, the roll is the same, an unnatural 20 (17+3)
