Adoy awakens a little groggy, he had a restless night as he is not used to the sounds of the city at night. He chirps a good morning to the birds in the tree and relaxes for a bit enjoying the morning sun and observing Gris' training routine. After a short while Adoy drops from his seat in the tree and greets his friend.
"Good Morning, Gris. I hope you slept well."
Adoy gathers a small handful of leaves from a few herbaceous plants he finds in the garden, and deposits them into the bottom of an old tin cup he keeps in his herbalism kit.
"Would you care for some Tea? Halflings certainly have a good eye for herbs, this should be an invigorating blend. I am sure Marigold has an extra cup."
Adoy takes the herbs he gathered and stuffs them into his water skin, he then quickly packs his herbalism kit back up into the small fur sack in which he keeps his few belongings.
"Ready!"
He says, beaming at the idea of getting back out into the wild.
When the others who slept in the great room upstairs awaken, they find that Ennis's bed is empty and crisply made, his pack nowhere in sight. Upon making their way downstairs, they would see him seated at the long dining table, his pack prepped and ready to go beside him.
He is reading through what looks to be an old, rather ragged book, and looks to have been awake for some time. There's a mug of tea sitting on the table next to him, but it has cooled and is no longer steaming.
When the party begins to assemble out in the garden, Ennis makes his way out as well.
"Setting out sooner is definitely better, although we could use a bit more information as well, if anyone thinks they might have better luck than me." He offers a quick, mildly embarrassed smile. "I'm afraid I'm all out of bribery money..."
Kathleen eats as much of her breakfast as she can in the short time it takes everyone to get ready. As the party gathers together in the garden she grabs a piece of bread she was eating and heads to her room to grab her pack while munching on the bread. She then heads to the garden as well, grabbing another piece of bread from her breakfast while going there.
"Ready!" She says before she begins to bite down on the bread.
Sorry if I missed it, but can I get a clear idea of where the party is headed?
I'm not certain myself at the moment. Looks like we're most likely heading north to the trading post, but I also suggested we might find more information here in Byting if someone else wants to try that first. No one has responded to that yet though.
Ayoola rubs her chin and says: "The Halfling was keeping mostly to himself, right? I doubt we can find much about him here in town. But we could ask around at some stables, maybe he got himself a ride."
"I have no use for them besides as a weight or a shiny distraction. To be honest I don't even know why I picked them up. They will serve us much better if you can exchange them for the information we seek, perhaps at this stable Ayoola speaks of."
Kathleen eats the bread faster than anyone should and ends up choking on it a little. Once she catches her breath, she says, "If the guy was planning to go far, he would probably need a horse. I think asking around at the stables is a fine idea."
"Well, if we're heading north to the trading post as well, a beast of burden and cart might not be a bad idea, so stopping at the stables could definitely be worth our while."
The Byting stables are located to the east of town, and are rarely visited by the locals. Merchants, nobles, and travelers are the most profitable business for the few stable-hands and breeders who work here, who manage to scrape through the year on the valuable coin that the aforementioned give in return for the sturdy mountain ponies and pack horses.
When you arrive, two men are struggling to keep a wild midnight black horse under control, and a woman is talking to a dubious-looking dwarf. The dwarf immediately catches your eye, because he is wearing a pair of horrific yellow breeches, so bright in color that you cannot look at them for too long without damaging your eyes.

Ghorbash
Ghorbash awakens with a mind set of catching. He walks outside and sees Adoy and Gris. "We should go." He is short on words, and short on patience.
In my homebrew world, elves can sleep just like humans. I have no problem with that.

Slurping her morning tea, Ayoola walks out behind Ghorbash. "He's right. The longer we wait the harder it will be to find this Merryweather fellow."
Gris to Adoy : "It looks that we will have to drink eat on the next stop"
To Ghorbash and Ayoola: "Go.. yes..we can go but where?"
Ghorbash
"North. Trading Post. You have idea?" he asks Gris.

Gris: "I have few crabbs but I am not good at talking with townfolks"
Adoy offers a small worn leather pouch containing 5 Crabbits.
"These coins are of little use to me, you may make use of them."
After examining the contents of the pouch, Ennis raises a curious eyebrow at Adoy.
"Five crabbits? Are you certain of this, little friend?"
Ayoola rubs her chin and says: "The Halfling was keeping mostly to himself, right? I doubt we can find much about him here in town. But we could ask around at some stables, maybe he got himself a ride."
