You see the Kenku leave the Dragon rapidly. You head to the bar and ask about wine
We always have the 'Elven Blackberry wine' in stock. Today we also have a new Dwarven wine that we're trying out. In the basement I have several very expensive vintages from the Toral's Sword Coast of that were brought in before the 'Tearing'. What can I get you?" she finishes
The town clock strikes noon as Zizza is talking to a bunch of musicians who are unpacking, setting up and tuning their instruments. There are a variety of strings, horn and drums.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Asledin glances over his shoulder and the woman in the blue cloak. Turning back to the barkeep he says, "I think the blackberry will...". Asledin gets wide eyed, as though something has just clicked in his mind. He quickly pivots towards the door, walking calmly, but quickly. As soon as he gets out of the bar, he scans the area for the Kenku.
Douglas sits down at the table and wonders what became of the ring to see the invisible. He believes Ula possesses it. He waits calmly for the next event to begin.
“Great, a band”Flint mutters as the musicians unpack. He looks up in surprise as Asledin suddenly follows the Kenku out of the tavern “Where is he heading off to?”
Flint thanks Theran again and moves upstairs to the room to fill Douglas in on what is happening. “There is a table of toughs downstairs, armed for a fight and they are talking like they offed Raskin. Makes me wonder who actually hired us in that case. Anyway, they bear watching. The pretty lass in a blue cloak looks like trouble. Heard she had a chest in her room that could be worth looking into. What news from up here?”
(Did Dash tell Flint what room the lady was in based on the question in the earlier post?)
Douglas takes in the news and suddenly something clicks for him in his head. "The woman in the blue cloak is she wearing a green shirt or dress? It's important! That would make her our possible contact. Go check! If she does have green on ask to buy her a drink, then ask where she's from. Even if she tries tell you off or get rid of you keep on like your persistent. Then ask, The pass phrase 'I wonder if the weather in Faerun is as nice as here?' If she responds, 'It might be, though the Sword Coast can get sudden storms this time of year'. That's our contact. Bring her here and we give them the envelope and they pay us. And this craziness is finished." Douglas instructs Flint excitedly.
Douglas collects his gear and staff putting everything in place in case this turns into another fight. He leaves the letter where he hid it pasted to the bottom of the bed. He adds fuel to the fire making the fire large and the room hot.
Flint scrunches up his face in thought “Eh, not sure about a green shirt, she was wearing chainmail and toting a spear taller than me. Didn’t really put that together, but I will check it out.” Flint exits the room and leans against the railing as he eyes the main room again, trying to tell if the lady in the blue cloak is wearing any green. Perception: 9.
He moves down the stairs and pulls up a chair at her table “What is a nice lady like you doing in a place like this?” He winces as he hears what he actually said, but continues on “Name’s Flint. Can I buy you a drink? The Dwarven Stout is good, but they have wine as well.”
