Neya continues to use her enhanced senses to avoid the attacks, although she'll now have to dodge three more in the form of shortsword stabs by slowed skeletons:
Neya does well once more but is nicked once. (Neya takes 4 piercing damage.)
LAIR ACTION
The relic sparks up. Another stream of fire heads down the entrance, though it aims straight ahead instead of angled downward as it did six seconds ago. Utar is prone, so the fire shot does not reach him.
DEX saving throw {DC 18}, save for half damage: 13 (13)
Graxx (Danger Sense shouldn't apply due to being effectively blinded): 12 (12)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
DM's Screen:
End-of-turn WIS save {DC 16} vs. Slow: 10, 5, 17 (18,6,15)
Another attack, another effective dodge. Neya avoids all fire damage. Graxx is not as lucky, feeling a burn in the middle of his chest. (Graxx takes 13 fire damage.)
(Obsben, Graxx, and Utar are up next. Graxx and Utar need to start their turns by rolling a CON saving throw {DC 18} against 26 (20) poison damage; save for half. Obsben starts her turn at {AQ-23} as discussed in the OOC Chat.)
"Oh, it doesn't sound like its getting any better in there, does it? Hm... S'pose I'll need to just... get my hands dirty."As if to further reaffirm her resolve, Obsben actually rolls back her sleeves and marched on inside the cloud with a held breath. Though it would do her little good. Even so, after much coughing and groping about, much to Graxx surprise and chagrin, she at least reached the side of the barbarian after shuffling past him with an appreciative word about "Fine muscles".
"The things... I do... *cough cough*... for a mission." She quietly groused as she knelt down and fished out her potion with one hand while patting along the ground in front of her for Utar. "Nope, too clammy. But... maybe over... hereee--yep, that's the one! *cough!* Bottoms up, Tusky!" She declared as boldly opened up his mouth to practically(but not really!) feed Utar the whole bottle.
Movement: To AM-26.
For entering the field for the 1st time on a turn - Con Save(DC 18): 9.
Conc. Save(DC 10): 9.
Action: Feed Utar a Greater Healing Potion, restoring 10 HP.
(@Lerus: Hoping a her passive investigation is enough to find Utar even with any penalty from the fog. But if not, I guess she can spend her action trying to find him. :< If that's the case, feel free to roll whatever check woudl be appropriate)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
When you realize you're doing too much: Signature.
Utar's eyes flutter open and his body involuntarily chokes on the liqid being poured down his throat. Gasping for air draws another gout of the noxious green fog into his lungs and the now familiar blackness returns.
Skovac finally manages to pinpoint Neya's reaction time and exact location enough to hit her with his next ray of foul magic. (Neya takes 22 necrotic damage.)
Still able to sense Skovac's presence, Graxx begins to move toward the undead leader. He inhales some more of the poison gas as he moves. (Graxx takes 5 poison damage.)
(@Grx: Important point/question before we proceed: recall that passing through an ally's spot counts as difficult terrain, as does walking into the space occupied by a defeated enemy. Also, you can't pass through a spot occupied by a enemy that is still a threat unless you have a feature that specifically allows this. Taking that all into account, I don't think Graxx can reach {AK-23} with 40ft of movement. So, where would you like to move to?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Graxx renews his battle rage, using his hands to feel as he moves past his companions and around the enemies. He finds a corner spot from where he feels comfortable attacking. Before he can do so, he feels three blades brushing against his skin:
Two of the blades draw blood, albeit little (Graxx takes 5 piercing damage.)
The barbarian then finally gets a chance to swing his axe while still sensing all of the undeads' presences. One of the attacks is deflected by Skovac's petrified wood armor, but Graxx still manages to deliver some of Tempus's fury to the fallen druid. (Skovac takes 27 magical slashing and radiant damage.)
LEGENDARY ACTION
Skovac reacts by taking a step back while his form blends with the surrounding cloud (no opportunity attacks).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
In one moment, Utar is drinking some life elixir being delivered to him by a companion. In the next, the half-orc's lungs are sucking in more poisonous gas in their search for oxygen. The cleric slips away into unconsciousness yet again. (Utar takes 20 poison damage and goes unconscious and incapacitated.)
Skovac speaks for all to hear: "You shall not take the relic!"
He invokes the power of the mountains above, calling on their chilly winds to be delivered forth from his own hands. From his new spot, the undead druid catches all CRAPers and two of his own in the spell's blast.
CON saving throw {DC 18} or take 44 cold damage, save for half:
Graxx: 26
Neya: 22
Utar: 14
Obsben: 10
115
The silver-lining: the blast of cold wind disperses the cloud of poison!
It just so happens the mountains above only half-listened to Skovac. The wind blowing from his undead hands is not that chilly, so Graxx, Neya, and Obsben can all resist it as best as they possibly could. Obsben doubly so after re-casting Absorb Elements (reference). Unable to brace, Utar slips closer to death. (Graxx takes 17 cold damage; Neya takes 17 cold damage; Obsben takes 8 cold damage; Utarfails one DEATH saving throw.)
The two skeletons caught in the blast are frozen in place. (Skeleton#4 takes 34 cold damage and is DEFEATED; Skeleton#5 takes 34 cold damage and is DEFEATED.)
(OOC: By the way, regarding post#774, I am not sure why the manipulation warning came up. The post was not even edited... go figure. The original damage roll was 34 but I don't remember the original saves. I do recall that all PCs except Utar saved, though, so that's what we are going with. The damages in post#775 should be correct.)
Despite being able to resist most of the cold blast, Neya succumbs to her wounds just a moment later. Torm's blessing sprouts, delivering the fighting monk from a cold death. (Neya's hits 0 HP and bounces back to 1 HP.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Battered, bruised, bleeding, her vision blurring, her body numb and sure that she might cough up something nasty should CRAP survive this fight, Neya stumbles her way to close the distance to Skovac for one last desperate whirlwind of strikes {to AI-26).
Future reaction: Neya's own shadow creeps slightly up her ankles in preparation for any attack that might reach her (triggers at attack rolls 19 or higher)
