Fellian's passive perception is a 14, so he is able to hear what is going on through the open door. He tells Maple to stay with the other rescued slaves and moves to behind (the the east of) Fario. He shoots his Shortbow at the Beholder Attack: 17 Damage: 6, but the arrow has no effect.
The veiled woman, seeing that the rest of the party are halfelves, realizes that she and her mentor will have a harder time subduing you. She decides to finish reading the scroll and suddenly the Beholder, Terrem, and her all disappear.
Maple is ready to defend herself and her charges if attacked.
Jeneer is terrified that he is going to be discovered and re-enslaved.
Pyllrak, the ash-skinned dwarf buyer turns invisible and moves away from his position.
Rellahne is up (You know that most magical means of putting someone to sleep, it is fairly easy to wake them up with a slap to the face.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rellahne readies to stop the beholder from disappearing herself but is immediately denied the opportunity as they were a tad too quick for her. Knowing the most important concern was gone, she focuses on her allies. Moving over, she awakens Shadow.
(I forgot Ollie's initiative, btw... Adding it here. Ollie's Initiative:16)
Oreus finally wakes up, scrolls his head and realises the major threat is (apparently) gone.
So he steps a little further (10 feet from the slaver) looks at the slaver in anger:
You are not only a vicious slaver, but you are not even a man of your word. We want to know more but I guess we must take it from you with the bad manners
he thinks no more: all the anger for seeing those children captive erupts: he launches an attack at the slaver with the hedge and the rear of the weapon
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Oreus tries to knock Kazmojen unconscious, his first strike misses, but the second blow is solid.
Sondor doesn't think she has much to offer in a fight.
Alben... seeing Oreus attacking the black clad slaver casts a Fire Bolt at Kazmojen. Attack: 18 Damage: 10. The bolt hits the slaver casing same burns. ...takes his actions to slap Tyris awake. (This is what I had planned on doing on his turn, but forgot when I started posting.)
Fario moves to flank Kazmojen with Oreus and makes two quick attacks. First with the Longsword Attack: 21 Damage: 10 and second with his Shortsword Attack: 11 Damage: 12. The first attack hits, but the second sword misses.
Kazmojen regenerates for 10 and then yells at Zarkad to open the double doors, while making a gesture at his pet. He then grabs a Handaxe off of his belt and throws it at (1=Alben, 2=Rellahne, 3=Fellian) 2Rellahne Attack: 19 Damage: 6. The axe shatters her ward, but doesn't harm her. Kazmojen then takes an Action Surge to attack Oreus with his Dwarven Urgrosh Axe Head Attack: 16 Damage: 13, the axe head bounces off Oreus' armor. Then in a quick bonus action he jabs the spear tip of the Urgrosh at Oreus 25 Damage: 10, hitting Oreus with the tip for 10 points.
Top of the Round
Zarkad Dashes to the double doors, keeping out of reach of Fario as he descends the stairs.
The Beast moves to the edge of the back half (5 feet southeast of Rellahne) and jumps down right behind Rellahne. It lets out a mind rendering howl, that can be heard throughout the fortress. Shadow, Tyris, and Alben (30 foot cone) make a DC 13 Wisdom save or be frightened until the end of the howler’s next turn. While you are frightened in this way, your speed is halved, and your are incapacitated. If you successful save you are immune to the Mind-Breaking Howl for the next 24 hours.
Alben's Wisdom save 4 Alben is Frightened and incapacitated
Hobgoblins initiative 2
Shadow and Tyris are up (don't forget to make your saves)
(Looks like I made a mistake on the map Fellian (FE) should be right next to the door 5 feet east of his position on the current map.)
Ollie flies up and tries to distract the Howler, giving the help to the next attack, just before making up into the sky with flyby to avoid getting hit.
Rellahne, planning this from the very beginning, charges her Ray of Frost and attacks it at point-blank. (advantage from help cancels disadvantage from a ranged attack in melee.)
Attack:18Damage:7 Cold (On a hit, the target has less 10 ft. of movement on its next turn.)
Rellahne is not one to contemplate staying in melee for too long, but she knows she still has her Ward and Mage Armor as protection in case it decides to attack her, so she stands her ground and doesn't move.
If you use Great Weapon Fighting with a feature like Divine Smite or a spell like hex, do you get to reroll any 1 or 2 you roll for the extra damage? The Great Weapon Fighting feature—which is shared by fighters and paladins—is meant to benefit only the damage roll of the weapon used with the feature. For example, if you use a greatsword with the feature, you can reroll any 1 or 2 you roll on the weapon’s 2d6. If you’re a paladin and use Divine Smite with the greatsword, Great Weapon Fighting doesn’t let you reroll a 1 or 2 that you roll for the damage of Divine Smite.
The main purpose of this limitation is to prevent the tedium of excessive rerolls. Many of the limits in the game are aimed at inhibiting slowdowns. Having no limit would also leave the door open for Great Weapon Fighting to grant more of a damage boost than we intended, although the potential for that is minimal compared to the likelihood that numerous rerolls would bog the game down.
So I going to use the 2+1+8=11 roll for the additional d8 against fiends (the howler is a fiend).
Oreus turns around and attacks the Howler with his Glaive using his god given abilities to turn the hit into a Divine Smite. The glaive hits, but like the cold spell Rellahne cast, the non-magical metal of the weapon dosen't seem to be as effective as it should have been, however the radiant damage from the Divine Smite does seem to be effective.
Sondor hears the sounds of battle, but it isn't enough to rally her at this point.
Alben... moves to the western pillarand casts a Magic Missile
1st dart at Kazmojen 2
2nd dart at Zarkad 4
And the 3rd dart at the Howler 4 (The force damage seems to be effective)
... is Frightened and incapacitated until the end of the Howler's turn. He says where he is.
Fario is still flanking Kazmojen with Oreus, even though Oreus is facing the Howler.
Fario attacks Kazmojen with both his Longsword Attack: 21 Damage: 10 and his Shortsword Attack: 23 Damage: 8. The Longsword makes a mighty blow, but the Shortsword misses.
Kazmojen's turn (see below)
Hobgoblins Round 1
Top of the Round .
Zarkad tries to decide how best to follow his masters command. (1=try to lift the bar and open the doors, 2=attack Tyris) 102. He decides to try to muscle through and try to lift the bar. Strength check 7. Tyris is able to keep him from lifting the bar.
Howl recharge 1
The Howler makes two Rending Bites. The first bite targets Rellahne in retaliation for the Ray of Frost. Rending Bite Attack: 17 Damage: 8. The first bite hits Rellahne. (Your ward was destroyed by Kazmojen last round with a throwen axe. See post #3008). The Howler attacks (1=Rellahne, 2=Shadow) 2 Rellahne with the second Rending Bite Attack: 11 Damage: 11. The second bite also hits Rellahne, leaving her in bad shape.
(I forgot Kazmojen's turn before the end of the round, so I'm doing it now so as not to mess up the rolls.)
Kazmojen turns his full attention to Fario, as he feels the Longsword strike home. He attacks Fario with his Dwarven Urgrosh Axe Head Attack: 17 Damage: 13, the axe head slices through Fario's armor. Then in a quick bonus action he jabs the spear tip of the Urgrosh at Fario 22 Damage: 13, but the spear tip misses Fario.

Rellahne's familiar moves over to Oreus and tries to wake him up as well, slightly scratching the paladin on his face as a means to do so.

Is Rellaine turn?
(No it's mine, posting now.)
Shadow's arrow bounces off the Hobgoblin's armor, (1=arrow breaks, 2=arrow is recoverable) 1, shattering into pieces.
Tyris moves over to the door and tries the stop the hobgoblin captain from open the door, but holding the bar across the door doors.
Fellian shoot the howler (the beast) with his Shortbow Attack: 10 Damage: 13, but misses.
Ollie is up
Maple is torn between staying with the other two freed slaves and joining the battle. For now she stays with Jeneer and Sondor.
After Ollie posts, Rellahne and Oreus are up
Ollie flies up and tries to distract the Howler, giving the help to the next attack, just before making up into the sky with flyby to avoid getting hit.

Rellahne with Ollie's help hits the howler with a Ray of Frost. However the cold damage didn't see to be as effective as it should have been.
Oreus is up
Oreus is taken by surprise by the ability of the slaver and most of all by some strange capacity to recover from wounds
It is useless to keep attacking him while the others are playing with his minions, let's get over with them and concentrate on him after
He turns to the howler beast and shouts at him (BONUS ACTION: VOW OF EMNITY GIVES ME ADVANTAGE AGAINST THE BEAST)
DOWN, FOUL BEAST
And he attacks it: Attack: 17 Damage: 7
adding DIVINE SMITE with radiant damages (and loosing a spell for it): 3 (or 11 if it is considered a fiend).
@DM: I must know if those radiant damages worked well or not so mch (like the cold damages)
I must re-roll both divine smite of great weapon style: 13
I had to research this a little bit, and this is what I found out.
