So is Sly, Eggo Lass and Quippyur going into the room?
(As for Eggo Lass’s infinite food idea, the best way I can come up with on how it would work is that the filet would remain fish since it is parted from the polymorphed creature with the spell on it, and therefore the spell can’t be removed, however the creature would be missing that part of it when it transforms back. So basically if you were to make Quipper filets out of a creature, they would return back to normal missing the area that you removed, and the filet would stay. But since Quippers are so small and have so many small bones in them with not much flesh, you would need hundreds of sacrifices to scrape together a decent meal for the party, making the exploit pretty ineffective!)
With just two (visible) people, Sly would be reluctant to enter due to her cautious nature, but it in the absence of any of the others offering, it didn't seem like she, Eggo and Quippyur had much of a choice.
You enter and make yourself seen. The forest gnome, who you can see properly now that you're above the surface, has firey red hair pulled back in a great plume like a volcano. Her skin is tanned from too much sunshine, and you can see tattoos of dragon scales just peaking up her neck from the collar of her adventuring clothes, which are a dusty brown and formal, like that of an archaeologist. Her face is wide, with big green eyes, a large mouth and even larger nose. As she sees you surface she says with an accent common to the Southern Tyraan deserts, bushland and outback 'Ah crikey, more adventurers! Hello-hello new friends! Cahm take a seat on me chest pile here, the wahter will get ya gear all moldy if ya stay in it too long!' Her enthusiastic grin quickly shifts to an almost comical scrutinising expression as she finishes her sentence though, and she asks slowly 'Wait, before you do, are ya here looking for da Golden Steed of the Amber God? Cos if so, you can turn back the way you came! Dat's for me to find, not you, ya hear?'Her expression then jumps back to the accommodating grin of before and she says 'But if ya not looking for da Steed, hop right on, there's room to budge up, I don't mind!'
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
That's a hit, roll for damage. The gnome gives a yelp and says 'Ah, what a nasty little bugger, haven't seen these fishies swimming round dees parts before!' She goes to attack it with her dagger and cut the Quippyur at the base of its neck, as to make it let go of her. Attack 19, damage 4
Eggo Lass looks on as Quippyur tries to bite the gnome. "Sorry about that. Our party-member rang a bell." She turns to the fish, (STOP THAT!)the says, reaching her hands out.
[[@VitusW, sorry, I promise they'll be better (and more ethical) monster ingredients later on in this dungeon!]]
The gnome just watches in quiet shock as Eggo Lass tries and fails to catch Quippyur. After he's sped off, she says 'D'ya mean the bell outside did that to him? Tsch, no wonder Techi sensed Transmutation magic from it!' She scoffs and says, 'I ain't never gonna trust nothing made by an Orc das for sure. Though, you should probably head after ya fishy friend.' Suddenly she gives a jump and says 'My, my, how could I forget my manners! I haven't even told ya ma name!'She outstretches a hand and says 'I'm Irabella, and I work for the Tyraan Governments Archaeology Department. Don't get the wrong idea 'bout the Government bit though, we're pretty much just a network of adventuring parties paid to find relics and artifacts in dungeons, mainly the Blood Archivist's. I'm personally a Ranger, an' I'm training to become a Drakewarden.' She pulls back the collar of her uniform shirt a bit to further reveal the dragon tattoos. She then says 'But you don' need to worry about me fur now fellas, yous gonna wanna catch your other party member first! I'll be staying right here!'
[[Just as a note Bilyur, Polymorph retains alignment and personality, so even though he's a Quipper with low Intelligence, he's still going to fundamentally act the same as he would as a gnome, unless he just decides to fully embrace the fish lifestyle and mindset for the hour, which I've got no problems with! Also, sorry if I'm a bit slow on the responses with Irabella's replies, I stupidly gave her coloured text so I can only really do her at home on my laptop. Also as a heads up, I'll be fully inactive from Friday evening to Sunday evening]]
Sly also apologizes for Quippyurs behaviour and accepts the offer to climb onto the box mountain to get out of the water for a bit. How she disliked this place. She busies herself with emptying a sloshy boot while asking: "Well met, I'm Sly. I'm not sure what the nature of this steed is. We mostly seek to find our way through the archivists gauntlet of dungeons. Have you an idea of the layout of this place?"
[[ Tiebreaker was actually not needed. Ties on ability contests result in status quo. In this case, an ungrappled Quippyur. ]]
Eggo Lass eyes Quippyur as he dashes away. "Well I guess it's better he explore elsewhere than bite one of us again." She joins the gnome on the crate island, squeezing water out of her clothes and waits to see what the gnome has to say in response to Sly.
Irabella says to Sly as the first to seat herself 'If I'm honest, I'm not too sure what I'm looking for either. Records from ancient kingdoms say the Amber God rode on a steed of pure gold, but then after his defeat, it was listed as his 'greatest missing treasure'. I'm not sure if it's a translation error, but I'm sure that whatever the Golden Steed was, whether it be beast or treasure, is hidden in this here temple, so that's why I've been searching these crates looking for it, even if I'm not quite sure what it could be. How can something be a steed and a treasure at the same time?' She ponders for a moment before Eggo Lass also seats herself upon the mountain of searched chests. Irabella follows up to Sly by saying 'I've not explored too much, but I know the dungeon is fairly symettrical, with the Shadow Weave being to the far east of here. I don't know if you've enountered them yet, but this temple is also infested with eagles, they roost in most of the empty rooms and are a huge nuisance. I'd watch out for them if I were you.'
[Which way does Quippyur go from the room? Does he go north to the bell room or return to the starting hall?]
"That's good to know, thanks. I think we'll be heading straight toward the weave if possible." Sly looks at the water with displeasure. The sooner they were out of here the better. Surely the next dungeon wouldn't be as arduous to traverse than this one. Surely.
The wizard has lost sight of Quippyur by this point, scanning the water for the small fish. The others, she says: "I propose heading east."

Yeah. Fundamentally he dislikes people with annoying voices and he doesn't have the intelligence to not% attack people he doesn't like.
