Doozey grimaces, then while wagging a finger at Neya, nodded in agreement. "Now that's a fair point. In which case, I got a new idea. We find a spot for the wagon tonight to hide it, offload everything into Raist's place, assuming that's easy to conceal as well and noone you don't designate can come in. Then, come tomorrow we get rid of the wagon altogether and ride into town with as much as we can in the bag of holding." The halfling suggests.
"Once we're inside, we can see about renting or buying another wagon and come back to pick up the rest. Or... we maybe reach out to one of our contacts who we think might be able to get the rest in later with less scrutiny... Not for free, of course. Actually... yeah, In fact, if we reach out to Dornal or Harper, either one might have the means or sway ta handle the whole process of liquidating all this. Preferably in such a way that's of also benefit to the people in town at that? Just a suggestion. Fer now..." Doozey trails off from there to try and find a decently thick copses of trees off the road for the group to settle in. He even briefly considers the small forest roughly towards the north of town(*) as a last resort.
(@Lerus: Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about that forest tidbit. But, I vaguely remember Doozey having departed town to follow up on a hunt for werevandals a few episodes back, and it involving him searching a forest/park before returning to town and getting jumped in the square.)
"Nothing enters without.my leave. And when the door is shut it is unseen. The downside is after 24 hours. Anything left inside..well, wont be inside anymore"
"Twenty-four hours will be plenty enough time to get it all sorted out this close to the city, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. But that said, anything exceptionally important aughta be something we keep close at hand. Fair enough?"Doozey said offhandedly, as he still appeared to be trying to spy decent cover. Though depending on how dark it had become by then, the task is easier said than done.

(@Ori: The big forest to the north of Phlan is the Quivering Forest. I take it you don't want to risk going in there. There are a number of small-but-still-large-enough wooded areas in between Phlan and the Quivering Forest that you could use for your purposes, including one not far from the Valhingen Graveyard.)
Utar gets more replies:
From Sagin:
"No breakfast tonight. Yes big breakfast tomorrow morning. Confusing at first. No tonight, yes tomorrow. No tonight, yes tomorrow."
From Villonah:
"Looking forward to it. Be safe."
In the meantime, Doozey explains his adjusted plan after taking into account Neya's and Raist's inputs. The halfling multitasks as he converses, spying around for a hiding spot. Stretching the twilight to its maximum lighting use (i.e., squinting), Doozey soon finds a suitable patch of trees to his liking. It is not far from CRAP and yet far enough from the road.
(@Lerus: Indeed, you have the right of it. I believe the one he visited last was the wooded area just north of Phlan. Either way, he isn't one to be overly picky, so long as the area is close enough and serviceable.)
After leading everyone to the patches of trees, Doozey leaves the others to their own devices to start readying things to be offloaded into the mansion. Though he had to wrestle Biscuit away after discovering the mastff got into the sugared bugs, it was nothing a little chatizing wouldn't fix in the short term. Unfortunately, when it came to potentially trying to get the oxen inside as well, the halfling unfortunately had to draw the line there after reexamining the entryway. Was it doable? Potentially. But even with the oxen being considerably more calmed down, the ranger simply hadn't the heart to try. So once again, both he and Biscuit would opt to stay outside and keep watch over the oxen, tending to them as need be, and ward their resting spot with a silent alarm as an added measure of safety. Before anyone else disappears into the mansion he also reminds Raist to have a nother look at the oils from the hoard, having sensed something about them.
(OOC: Let's get everyone else's decisions for this long rest before moving forward. Are you camping out with Doozey or going into the mansion, assuming Raist indeed casts the spell? If camping out, feel free to roll a watch check if planning on taking one.)
(@Ori: If no one else camps outside, are Doozey and Biscuit doing another 12-hour rest or sticking to 8 and risking a couple of watch-less 2-hour segments?)
Seeing Raist conjure a comfortable and safe magical realm in which to take repaste and slumber safely, a heavy ache overcomes Utar's body. It would so easy, so comfortable, so nice to indulge himself again, but sighing inwardly, the Orc steels himself for a night out of doors. Heading over to Doozey and Biscuit, he settles himself against a handy tree and offers to join them in their watch.
It had started with Doozey's concern for the well-being of the oxen. A few moments latest, most of CRAP is setting up to spend the night outside in the wild and away from the comfort provided by Raist's magical mansion. The elf soon finds himself alone in the mansion, except for his many invisible servants.
The invitation does not go to waste, however. The mansion provides for a safe overnight space for all the treasure and other goods collected by CRAP. Only after the transporting of such loot is completed from the wagon to the mansion, does CRAP moment of respite truly begins.
@Neya: Still feeling exhausted from this morning's eventful swim, you hope you can get your watch out of the way quickly so that you can turn in for the night. Temperatures drop quickly post dusk. The distant sounds of the city shutting down for the evening indicate that this is a slow process. You wonder if the process is being lengthened by potential unrest, and fear that you might just end up having a restless night. In the end, though, you pass the baton to Utar without much to report.
@Utar: It is cold. Your watch would have been a lonely one were it not for a small rodent wandering through your camp. It seems to be begging you for food. Whether or not you choose to interact with it (please choose and elaborate), your watch eventually ends and you find Biscuit already up and ready for his turn.
@Doozey: Your connection with Biscuit is undeniable, but when he wakes you up calmly for your own solo watch, there is not much you can deduce about what might have happened during those two hours during which the mastiff was tasked with the party's safety. If he had woken you up suddenly, energetically, or loudly, you would be sure to be ready for the worse. But this... nearly impossible to say. Your own watch is as uneventful as they come.
By the time Raist emerges from the mansion and the others cleans up camp, the sun is coming up. No guards from Phlan seemingly thought worth it their time to come this far out to check on your camp, if they could even find it. Raist share some interesting news after having spent some time with the paints the group found in Jeralla's belongings: if used correctly, the pigments can alter reality.
(@Red: Please roll a d4 to determine how many uses of the pigments are left, as Jeralla may have put some of them to use in the past.)
(OOC: You may complete a Long Rest. Neya is no longer exhausted. All treasure remains in the mansion for now and, by the time you are ready to move, I'll say that there are only 14 hours left on that spell. Let me know what you are doing with all the loot.)
Ironically, Utar was slightly glad of the cold during his watch. Not so uncomfortable that he was sat shivering but cold enough that he was fairly sure he wasn't going to drift off, especially with how quiet it is. His winter clothing from their journey to the north was still in his pack and he made a mental note to find it and wear it just before his shift ended to try and provide himself a more comfortable night when his shift ended.
Sitting watching the road he almost misses the small rodent snuffling around their camp. Surprised by the bravery of the creature given how close it is getting to Biscuit, Utar decides to reward it with a little food from one of his rations. Taking a few crumbs, he tosses them close to the rodent, and watches it while it sniffs then takes the food before scampering back into the darkness of the night.
Ever the paranoid fellow, Doozey had half a mind to converse further with Biscuit. However, aside from giving the loyal mastiff a few scritches and a kiss atop the head goodnight, the halfling contented himself with trust and carried on with his guard duties that evening. An uneventful evening that soothed the soul.
Yet in time, an over active mind led to others awakening the next morning seeing Doozey hard at work scribbling something down on some makeshift notebook of sorts. Most of the writing at first glance is utterly gibberish to those curious enough to look over his shoulder at any point while breaking up camp. But by the time all is said and done, he hops out of his seat with such abruptness as to startle Biscuit.
"I think I got it! So, 'fore we part for the city proper, let's step inside and finalize discussions." Doozey requests, then pointedly look to Utar. "And I do hope your god has blessed ya with the power to send messages. 'fore while we could do the sebastain thing again, if'n yer willing that is Raist, with a meeting already scheduled for noontime, there's not much time for dilly dallying." He said, and with that would march his way over to enter Raist mansion if the others appear convinced. But if not, Doozey would grumble a bit, but follow through on his plans of explaining his notes.
Regardless of the venue he suggests an even splitting of coin, but suggest either Raist and/or Utar catch the remainder, if but given the expensiveness of their callings. The rest he suggests either moving into the bag of holding after checking with Neya on what's already inside, or keep in the mansion for the time being (see spoiler below for more exacting split details). "With all that said, there's several things we aughta in mind going forward. Or perhaps better yet, a query I pose to the rest of ya? Are we to pawn off the rest for whatever gain we wish, return the goods as best we can, or... some sort of middle ground? Keeping in mind that if the plan is to go with that first one, we might want to hold off a bit on any extraordinaire spending and trading till we've already dealt with the bandits once and for all, or less attention is angled our way." He forewarns.
"On the other hand, I... I'm not so sure trying to return it all is the best idea, as its not really feasible. At best, we'll get a bunch of nobles breathing down our neck claiming this and that with maaaybe questionable receipts to back their claims, and I hesitate to even give voice to a worse scenario. On the other hand, with the exception of either trying to return that locket and gifting a few down on their luck carpenters some tools, simply handing out everything else is liable to attract unwanted attention and uncomfortable questions all things considered." Doozey lets out a defeated sigh that trails into a low growl of frustration. "At the very least, I say we reach out to the Harpers for consultation and following up. We also ask if they suspect anything about the shipments that were stolen -- a long shot, I know, but... I dunno, it just seems... I-It wouldn't hurt to inquire, at least."
He goes silent at that point, scratches his chin, before muttering a curse. "Then there's still the matter of the body. I presume the intent is to head straight home, grab some breakfast, and talk things over with Villie about arrangements. But, do we risk the cart and wagon being recognized? 'cause at the moment, aside from that, with most of the bulk either hidden in other dimensions, I think we're pretty clear to head get moving on."
