Reverie sighs as soon as she realizes Isk has the same idea with Trim, but it seems it is the only option they have. "... All right, I guess that is the only answer for us. I will follow Isk, then."

”so. Ye want to fight them? I don’t recommend it, but the least we can do is be able to see them.” jack plays a light beat on his drum, sending violet light at all the demons. (Faerie fire) “now if they are hidden, we’ll see them. And it’ll be easy to hit them.”
Trimyrai: (to the party [in a whisper]) "No, my proposed idea has only one of us sacrifice ourself as a distraction, so the others can get the prisoners out, if we all fight we are very likely to lose and it will be wasted effort. As soon as a fight starts, the person will get a maybe a minute or so a surprise attack and then all these bad guys will be all over that person. If we have no intention of trying to get the prisoners out we shouldn't even bother, a pointless sacrifice does no one good."

(Is there a reason why Trim thinks this is a sacrifice? After Reverie used Divine Sense, these demons were identified. Four CR 2 will be difficult, but not a certain loss.
And Jack doesn’t know if the demons are hidden or not. They are merely in the part of the room that is out of sight from outside the entrance, until he walks around the corner.)

jack plays a light beat on his drum, sending violet light at all the demons. (Faerie fire)
(That spell affects a 20' cube. From his position outside the cave entrance, he could target the demon in sight, and get the one north of it. Not all 4, with the way they are spread out.)

”maybe we can just put them all to sleep? We’d have to hurt them a little 1st, and make sure no one gets to them, but it’s possible.”

“Maybe. We’ll need to herd them and damage them. If we separate them I can probably put them to sleep easier, but using more magic. If we do 2 groups of 2, I’ll have to cast the spell twice but we don’t have to damage them as much.”
”Plus, Isk looks exhausted.” (Don’t forget isk, you have exhaustion. I don’t think that means you are in good fighting shape)
Trimyrai: (to the party [in a whisper]) "If we manage this quietly and quickly enough we won't have to worry about anyone finding them sleeping. Does anyone know how to pick a lock?"

(Some more information to clear up the situation, then your group should act.
Trim Iskander has 2 levels of exhaustion, so he is half speed and has disadvantage on ability checks. (That is why his magic item did not give him advantage on his initiative roll, because it was cancelled by the fatigue.) His combat rolls are normal.
Your group is worried about the noise. You have noticed for a while now, from outside the cave, that it is hard to hear the demon growls and prisoner crying. The cave shape is dampening the sounds, like a music studio. As long as no one uses big noise attacks (like Iskander's thunder damage from Booming Blade), the battle noises will not be heard outside the entrance. The cages are made of plant material, so damaging them might take time, but won't make the same noise as metal cages.)
Something about Jack's plan is really worrying Reverie, but she can't think of the reason why. In a soft voice, she goes through what she knows about these low-level demons: resistant to cold, fire, lightning; immune to poison, charmed, frightened; arm bites cause a chance of disease, which acts like being poisoned...

Isk nods, "I am tired, and moving a little more slowly than usual, but i can still fight." When he hears Reverie going through the litany of immunities the demons have, he shakes his head when he hears 'charmed'. "I don't think we'll be putting them to sleep. Jack, you want to drop that bowl of rocks on the far side of the cage? That would put their attention away from us and we could attack at once, from behind them."
(Oops, I meant Isk. Sorry about that. Will correct the earlier post.)
