Not looking around too hard yet in case I get a chance at giving witchy-poo a parting shot goodbye (just a little ax kiss in the forehead) , I figure Barnaby in the tree can see them better
Barnaby: Well...I guess that's over...again...we should probably go get those kids before more witches find them. Um...can someone help me out of this tree?
Chubs meanwhile is going through the dead witch's pockets. Perception: 5
Edit: Chubs: Crap! I got my hand tangled in her dress. This is awkward...Could I get some help here?
You can ask, or not. Kif may be uncertain about whether the others saw the vision; he may have made the connection to his earlier vision, or not. Up to him.
You don't immediately see them. Everyone looking for the kids, please make a survival check, and let me know how quickly you're moving (it'll affect how carefully you can track).
Kif has very short legs, he's not running, but not walking either, like a fast hustle you would use when someone is holding open the door for you from too far away
Chubs will start searching with all haste which leaves Barnaby having to get out of the tree on his own accord. So Barnaby will start as soon as he gets down, Barnaby Athletics out of the tree: 7.
Ok. It's still early afternoon. Misalyk can follow their fresh footprints for about a quarter of a mile - the kids were moving pretty quickly, and scared - before the tracks end in a flurry of clouded markings on the path. The party studies these fresh markings with interest, and eventually determines that somebody - or somebodies - ran into the forest on the south side of the road, toward Mount Ghakis. These are not the children's footprints anymore, though; roll survival checks to try to figure out what kind of tracks these are.

Do you wish to abandon the road at this time, and enter the gloomy forests of Barovia?
"[bold]Someone large and barefoot has taken them into the woods. Human I think but I'm not sure of much else. Having come this far we should hunt after them yes?[/bold]"
Barnaby arrives huffing and puffing: What? Yes, surely we should go after them at once. My arcane reserves are running low. A brief respite could allow me to regain a little of my strength, but I am worried the young ones may not have any time. We will go, just understand, I may not be as much help as I sometimes am.
Chubs: Come on old man, you'll be fine. Get those little legs moving.
Ok. Kif has no trouble leading the party through the woods, leading up and down ridges as you enter the cool shadow of Mount Ghakis. After about 30 minutes of hiking through the gloom, Kif determines that the tracks - it's apparent, by now, that you are on a faint path connecting the road to some destination - leads directly into the face of a steep slope, or cliff, ahead of you. It's likely that you are nearing the end of the path, and - sure enough - there is a slight clearing visible ahead of you.
It starts to rain, and there's a chilly breeze. From your vantage point, deep in the woods, you can't see anything in the clearing itself; you just see that the woods open up at the base of this low cliff. How do you approach?
Misalyk: "Should we spread out and approach this clearing from multiple directions at once? So we aren't all bunched together? Myself, I'm in favor of a slow quiet approach. Like wine into a crystal goblet, instead of beer bursting out from a dropped barrel."
Anybody have eyes on the kids?

Last anybody remembers, the kids were fleeing back toward the east. They are not currently visible.

A yellow eyed demon killed my mother and girlfriend! (Oops...sorry, wrong story.)

I meant to bold that as a question to the team. I did make the connection to the earlier vision
Kif is going to start heading down the road the direction the kids went

Perhaps Barnaby has a way to scout the clearing
Right. Whatever you guys decide, you can roll your Stealth and Perception (or whatever) checks, depending on what you do.
