Given how many people you are now taking with you in their weaker condition with no supplies for traveling. It would take about two full days. Given the time now late morning. You could push a few hours extra and get to the camp shortly after nightfall on the second day.
Rufus speaks up, “With what we have gone through down here. We will all be glad to get out as soon as possible.” The group kind of rallies behind his words. An apparent leader or speaker for the group without having a real vote.

Hermenor leads the group out of the cave, making sure to point out the chest with their belonging on the way in case we haven't done so yet (Priton had mentioned something like this.)
As the group approaches the mouth of the cave, Hermenor looks around and into the lake to see if he can find the giant he has been telling his companion about.
(I think it was mentioned but not done because you would have broken the other two stones which I assume is done so the hostages can safely pass)
This is the first time you have seems any of the hostages smile. Laugh even as they put on their own clothes and take their trinkets with them, gaining a sense of personal identity back. They are in much higher spirits than before. You do hear the dwarf male “Damn bastards, took my pipe. Good thing they got what was coming to them.” As he continues to grumble
Hermenor - the skies are still dark with clouds, it’s difficult to see into the water. If you were to guess you would know that he is not exactly at the shore line, but unable to locate it.
Walking along the lake you see a sudden eruption from the water. As the Forest Giant leaps from underneath the surface, soaring through the air. Leaving a trail of water raining down behind him. An almost thunderous smack can be hear as he lands about 70 feet in front of the part. And mud sprays to meet the water in the air. It turns to the party. Suddenly a tether of black energy can be seen attaching itself to the Giant from somewhere under the surface before it get yanked back with tremendous force. The Giant is pulled back under the water sending another display of water into the sky. After a moment the water goes calm again.
As the giant erupts from the water Tyr instinctively draws his blades, it isn't until seeing it pulled back under the water that his muscles relax a little. He just looks to his group "That's unsettling - I'll go scout ahead in case there are any more surprises."
With that Tyr moves ahead of the party using the shadows and whatever terrain is around that will help to obscure him from sight.
“I think we should deal with whatever that tendril was. If not for the giant, then for the sake of cleansing this land. Were we not saying that we vowed the cleanse the land here just a couple of days ago when a question was put forward regarding whether we were even going to come to this cave in the first place?”

Perception: 5
Tyr creeps closer to the edge of the water. The shore slowly rippling from the splash moments ago. Peering past your reflection you see a shadowy blob, then a flash of movement.
tongue attack: 8
Before Tyr has a chance to act, The fleshy bulbous tongue jets out of the water and wraps itself around Tyr and yanks him under. Tyr vanishes under the depths, disappearing from sight below the waves.
bite attack: Attack: 11 Damage: 7
Under the water in the clenched jaw of the Giant, Tyr screams out only to produce bubbles. In another instant. You feel two fangs pierce into your side and force you down as you are swallowed. Tyr is now restrained and blinded
Ragnir: (to the party) "Agreed we should cleanse the land, how should we deal with the giant? if the giant is under the influence of this cult and their evil we should try to find the source, like we did with that spirit of the forest."

The group stands on a rocky barren shore line with the water rocking from the recent events of Tyr being taken under. The hostages all scream and run away from the shoreline huddling near the entrance of the mine.

Diving down under the water swimming down. Hermenor is able to dive and swim the 20 feet in that it takes to reach the Giant. Landing two solid blows against the Giant. The punches feel slowed by the extra resistance but your able to feel the connections on the amphibious skin. Normally Hermenor would feel his hands sliding off in the wet skin. Looking down the water around his fists is beginning to condense and freeze around his fists. Ice particles clinging to each digit as a dark energy swirls around his hands. Some sort of new energy has taken hold of Hermenor’s hands. (Chill Touch now available)
The Giant takes two swings in retaliation with his spear. Stabbing swiftly through the water towards the monk.
Attack: 26 Damage: 9
Attack: 18 Damage: 5
Hermenor is able to dodge out of the way of the first attack, but the Giant is just too quick and lands a hearty blow in the side. As a poll of dark blood begins to cloud around the area.

Tyr just lets out a muffled scream of pain as the acid hits him, he was really starting to hate this mission. He does the only thing he can extending his claws and trying to stab the beast from the inside.
(Mechanically there’s nothing that says you can’t use your daggers - still just a 9 to hit)
Tyr struggling against the tight interior lining of the Giant. Apparently accustomed to eating live prey, the interior lining of the stomach is quite thick and Tyr is unable to cause any damage of consequence.
