OOC: How does Druidcraft work to light candle, torch or campfire then exactly like prestidigitation? There is no heat involved, what reason one can do it and no other with that shared effect between both of them? Just how you are viewing it? Again just for reference as to the reasoning? I was at it from the standpoint of that shared ability think that both were of some sort of heat generation and that by extension to heat something. But prestidigitation can clean clothes and such so perhaps drying is working from that standpoint?
Hermenor stays close to the fire while he trances. He also leaves his clothes on top of nearby rocks not too far from the flames, so they dry a bit faster away from his still humid body. When awake, he stands at the edge of the protected shelter, staring out into the storm and singing in a low voice:
Oh, a drop of Nelson’s blood wouldn’t do us any harm, Oh, a drop of Nelson’s blood wouldn’t do us any harm, Oh, a drop of Nelson’s blood wouldn’t do us any harm, An’ we’ll all hang on behind!
So we’ll ro-o-oll the old chariot along! An’ we’ll roll the golden chariot along! So we’ll ro-o-oll the old chariot along! An’ we’ll all hang on behind!
Oh, a plate of Irish stew wouldn’t do us any harm, Oh, a plate of Irish stew wouldn’t do us any harm, Oh, a plate of Irish stew wouldn’t do us any harm, An’ we’ll all hang on behind!

Oh, a nice fat cook wouldn’t do us any harm.
Oh, a roll in the clover wouldn’t do us any harm.
Oh, a long spell in gaol wouldn’t do us any harm.
Oh, a nice watch below wouldn’t do us any harm.
Oh, a night with the pals wouldn’t do us any harm.
In the morning, Hermenor will put his dried clothes back on and make sure that all the animals and the wagon are ready to go before making sure all his belongings are well-packed.
"Shall we?" he asks his companions (assuming the storm has passed).
With the rain subsided in the morning, the clouds drifting apart and the welcome sight and feeling of a warm sun greeting you. You are ready to continue your travel.
You travel through the forest, the same hike of nothing but trees. The insects are getting worse and being quite bothersome. You see small game every once in a while before they quickly disappear into the bushes.
The path gets tight and the vegetation becomes dense. A bottleneck through the trees down the path. You begin to hear the sounds of water. Not just a calm river, but rapids are approaching.
A bottleneck through the trees down the path. You begin to hear the sounds of water.Down the road you see 5 men in armor with various weapons sheathed on their hips.4 have a red strap around their wrist, while the one in chainmail wears a red cape. The are aware of your presence but look to be waiting for you to go to them.
The shift in the trees catches Hermenor unprepared, like a jump-scare. He reactively throws a iron nail at it (the kind that is used in boat building; just flavor for my dart):
-> Iron nail (ranged weapon attack) vs. shifty vegetation: Attack: 23 Damage: 5 piercing.
Since Hermenor attacked he was in the front of the cart. Where were the other three? One could be up front with him(driving), 2-3 could be in the back of the wagon. Currently you are about 30 feet away.
Briar would honestly in all likelihood be in the back of the wagon. The reasoning being she would not want to be stuck with driving the wagon and being just a tad on the lazy side would prefer to be in the back so she could lay down, move around, etc. or generally be more able to relax or be more comfortable.

Briar standing up in the back of the wagon behind Hermenor (( and maybe Priton)) sees the five armed men ahead... gives them a friendly wave calling out to them politely as the wagon draws closer, "good day gentleman, I am Rowena Rhaine, daughter of Lord Cedric Rhaine, is there a problem? May I and my bondsmen please pass?"

(Back tracking a bit guys). So Hermenor throws iron nail up into the trees. Despite the distance and obscured target, you hear an “Aaagggh” from where the nail disappeared. Despite a little shaking in the branches, they settle. The five men on the ground are taken back by the action and are startled.
Suddenly you hear two noises of crossbow bolts lettin loose. (ETL nat 20 on Initiative)
ETL Attack: 7 Damage: 5
ETR Attack: 21 Damage: 6
two crossbow bolts strike Hermenor, one in the left thigh, the other in the right shoulder. Looking you can tell that one bolt came from each tree. A total of 10 damage.
EC Initiative 18: drawing his sword and stampeding about 20 feet, raising his sword in the air “That was the last mistake you’re going to make for you and your friends you pointy eared bastard!” You see a man with curly brown hair that forms into a thick beard, adorned with chainmail armor and a red cape. A ferocity in his eyes.
(Briar it’s your go, you can change your turn if you wish. Then Hermenor, Ragnir and Priton can post their actions too.)
Briar standing up in the back of the wagon behind Hermenor (( and maybe Priton)) sees the five armed men ahead... and then all hell proceeds to break loose... she screams out, "STOP, all of you, please, this is all just a misunderstanding. I am Rowena Rhaine, the daughter of Lord Cedric Rhaine!"Throwing her arms and hands showing that she is unarmed, hoping for the best... but somehow feeling her words may be too little, too late!
OOC: Alright that's Briar's action to replace my jumping the gun above... so next in initiative line then!

A smirk comes across the Captain’s face. “What do ya think about the Lady’s request men?!” With an echoing response they shout while raising their swords in the air.
"Dammit," Hermenor says while pulling the crossbow bolts out of his thigh and shoulder. "Can someone take care of the crossbowmen? The one on the left tree has a nail stuck on him already."
He then moves 20 feet to meet the EC while the jewel on his sash glows purple. His knuckles get magically more pronounced as he assumes his fighting stance. He resembles a brawler, but seems light while bouncing on the balls of his feet. HIs knees and elbows looked relaxed, but Hermenor has them all cocked and ready to spring into action. Once close enough, he jabs at the EC, while maintaining the poise of a well-trained pugilist:
Jab (unarmed strike) vs. EC: Attack: 19 Damage: 6 bludgeoning.
The elf then ensures he is ready to jump out of the way of incoming attacks, his bolt wounds causing a lot of pain:
Spending a ki point to dodge as a bonus action (Patient Defense).

Hermenor- you are able to pick up from your passive perception, a shuffling in the branches that doesn’t match the wind in the left tree.

(On his turn) Priton will be at the front and on his turn will put his hand to his waist to his mail.
"And I am Priton, My friend here seems to noticed something off in these woods so I do apologize for our fast reactions."
