When Secundus casts Detect Magic on the statue, he notices that it has an aura of very faint illusion magic.
Taman studies the room, then calls to Vaden... "Vaden, do you have a spell that can get rid of this water for us?" he asks. "I am not a strong enough cleric to get the Create or Destroy Water spell..."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Donkee moves towards the water and dips his scimitar into it to make sure the acid gets washed off. He stirs it around good before vaden disappears the water and to be sure the water is really water and not some mother of all acid spewing oozes or an illusion caused by the statue since Secundus mentioned illusion..
He will also see if he can find any loot or secret spaces. Perception:21
" Hey guys, that was pretty interesting dont you think? Look what that blob did to my sword..I am going to have to clean that up with a sharpening stone to get a good edge back on it. Note to self, hit booze thingamabobbers with bolts from a distance so it doesnt ruin good steel"
Secundus says to the party "There is some illusion-y magic coming off of that statue there; we may need to be a bit more careful about our surroundings. Now, if you wouldn't mind, I need a minute. Mache, you know what to do."
Secundus and Mache temporarily become visible again. Secundus takes out his Dread Abacus and marks off one death, and then stands near, but not touching the Ooze corpse as Mache removes a salt shaker from his pack of Cook's Utensils and pours what appears to be black salt onto the body. Secundus' eyes go white as he uses his Occultant ability to cast augury, asking about the results of travelling farther down this sewer.

(OOC: Not sure what you are checking for here... The room you are in goes no place further, it is a dead-end. The only path forward is through the Pillar Forest... Are you asking about that way?)
Rurik sees this process going on and whips out his Whisper Jar to talk about this encounter and the aftermath in detail.
Shadowlight comes up to his side and leans in against Rurik's side, speaking telepathically. "Well, that was quick. This place still reek, my nose will not be the same. Can we move on now?"
Rurik looks down at him. "Ok, lets see what this room holds first. Lets take a good hard look at both the first room and this one, after the water has been taken care of."
"If you want me to try breaking it i can, but I am not responsible for any repercussions" Norelan says as he takes out his longsword for if the group tells him to break it

"Well, i am curious what illusionary magic is happening. So unless someone can tell us without destroying the statue, it is probably the only other way."
Donkee isnalso wondering why there would be illusion magic coming from then statue in a dead end, sewage filled room...Entertainment for the ooze? Is there no treasure to be found in this place? And why a secret room just to house a grey blob?...
Mysteries of the universe.." well, if there is nothing here to found except for stinky water, we should head back to the pillar room. We can have Mache sneak into the middle of the room and pass gas to ensure its clear"
Norelan goes up and sees if he can just remove the head or unscrew it off
The head screws off easily enough. Inside the hollowed out neck you find a mass of melted wax and nothing else of interest. a quick study makes you believe someone used it as a sort of jack-o-lantern...
(OOC: get use to finding rooms with nothing of use, remember you are in the Mad Mage's domain, so nothing is made to make sense, and he will often try to get you to go places that is more dangerous than they are worth...)
Rurik shakes his head and calls Shadowlight to his side. Turning back towards the entrance, he says, "So to the pillars it is. Shadow lead the way bud. What a waste."
Lol. Stupid mad mage..." Haha, crazy. Bet it was funny seeing the lighted candles in that statues head. Ok, let's see if we can roust some buggle bears in the pillar room..Of course , using our mighty powers of perception to find some darn loot. Ok Vaden, lead the way."
Donkee gives Vaden a wink and a chuckle to let him know he is messing with him

"Anyone want to see what breaking that statue will do to the Illusionary magic?"

Sorry, misread map. He would ask about messing with the statue, because he would not admit he was wrong about the secret room.

"Maybe have him see if the arm is really missing off the statue or if the head can be moved."
Norelan if nobody tries to stop him just walks over and slams his longsword into the neck of the statue

That's the best attack roll yet, lol. Kill that fish boy statue.
As the sword hits the statue a gouge is left in the glowing surface. Also, upon impact, the head of the statue swivels a bit loosely on the statue.
As the Occultant and his Imp use the Occultant on the dead ooze, he gets a response of 'nothing' in regard to the statue.
When Vaden removes the filthy water, the arm is shown to be laying in the lowest end of the slanted room.
Norelan goes up and sees if he can just remove the head or unscrew it off
