When Grimnir feels that everyone is close enough, he releases his rapport spores. Then, telepathically, he reaches for his companions: "Very well, let's quickly check this skeleton, then we need to continue in the main area"
Grimnir then jumps down the 20ft that separate him from the remains and start looking around (using Slow Fall to reduce falling damage by 35 if any).

You hop down easily, lighting on the edge. Your feet disturb some of the bones and knock them down into the chasm. You wait to hear them hit the bottom, but after a several moments with no sound, you realize the chasm is too deep. Investigating the skeleton reveals it to be the remains of a Moon Elf, their leather armor moldering and decaying. No weapons can be seen, and no bags, but there is a pocket on the leather vest, and reaching in you find a silver ring with a blue gem inset in it. The ring is completely undamaged, with no signs of aging, which indicates it may be magical.
Unsure of how easy it would be to climb and worried by the depth of the chasm, Grimnir decides to play it safe and transform himself into a spider (wild shape use 1/2). In a few second his body reshapes itself and looks now like a giant wolf spider
On its way up, Grimnir communicate with the other telepathically. "Do not worry, it is but me. I have changed into a spider. I found a ring, I'll give it to you later Belwar. Let's continue" Silently, Grimnir, still in spider form walks onto the ceiling and have a peak in the larger room
Grimnir, as a spider, you enter in the egg chamber, crawling along the walls, staying completley silent. You find your way to a resin strand and move along it. Mixed in with the resin is what appears to be spider webs as well, and you use your web sense to feel the tremors in the web. You feel the movement of several giant spiders moving along the sceiling of the egg chamber, and further to the North a nest of more giant spiders. The tremors of the webs give you a sense of the size of this place, and help you picture where some of the caverns are as well. You sense one other thing, a few humanoid creatures dropped through some webs into a Southern chamber just moments ago.
For everyone else, as you peer in to the chamber, you sense a tremor increase, and to the South you see the side of a purple worm as it bursts through a Southern wall, creating a tunnel as it heads East. Hanne cautions everyone to remain quiet, and points toward some of the resin strands that lead up to the eggs. "We'll have to climb up to get one, but not draw the attention of the worms."
This maps represents what Grimnir can sense wth his web sense. Grimnir is the greendot on the resin strand. The party with Hanne is the bluedot. The reddot in the NE is the spider nest. The orangedot in the S is where Grimnir senses other humanoids. The purple arrow is the path of the purple worm.
Grimnir conveys all the information by telepathy (assuming we're still 30ft from each others) and adds "Let's get one egg and get away from here, I don't really want to fight an angry mama purple worm" Grimnir moves then along the silk, reaches the first large egg cluster and removes one egg, but trying to keep an eye out for incoming danger.
As the fangs don’t work very well on the resine. Grimnir reverts back to his dwarf form and start using his magical dagger.
Moving along the strands is easy enough as a spider, but the eggs are caught tight within a resin binding. You'll need to cut one out, or use some other means to loosen one enough to remove it. What do you do?
For the rest of you, you keep watch, as you see Spider-Grimnir move up towards the nearest egg cluster. The ligh in this area is dim, from the lichen growing on the walls, so you can make out the edges of the room, but not much beyond. Is there anything you want to do to assist Grimnir, or on your own?
Brot feels the tension. They have found their first item! But those purple worms are near. And they look scary. Brox looks up and wants to help Grimnir and Oorr. She quickly sends up a blessing light [cast bless], so they would be able to react to any danger.
Oorr flies upward beside spider-Grimnir and helps him to cut an egg out of the nest.
Together, you begin cutting away the egg. Rumbles can be felt through the web stands, but nothing emerges from the surrounding caverns. It will take a few minutes to cut away an egg, but it seems easy enough to do (no check needed.)
Brox, as you look up to bless the others you scan around for other signs of danger. You wonder if Hanne might have some useful information about the area, but turn to see her heading towards another resin strand to the North, apparently intent on climbing it to get an egg for herself. She’s about 30 feet away from you, just about to climb the strands.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Brox sees Hanne is about to touch another strand. This doesn't look good. Grimnir and Oorr are almost done, causing enough movement and shaking in the net structure as it is.
She needs to react quickly. Brox misty steps (misty step) in front of Hanne, holding her hand out to block any attempt by the girl to touch the strand. In a low voice Brox speaks: "Please don't. We have to deal with all these evil forces, demons let loose on the land. The egg is an ingredient in a brew to stop our world from getting destroyed. You don't need an egg, help us on our journey instead. Come now, back with me over there, where we can see the others well."
Brox's words sound friendly enough, but she is not smiling. One hand rests on the hilt of Dawnbringer. And her eyes send a message that this will be the last warning.

Hanne practically runs into you as you teleport into her path. She looks up at you terrified, and stammers, "I...uh, I was just... I'm so sorry, yes, of course, you're right. I just... I just thought if I brought my own egg back... then.. I'm sorry."
You see her face visibly distressed, but she agrees to walk back with you. When you arrive, you see Oorr and Grimnir have carefully cut away an egg. Belwar has prepared an unseen servant to carry it safely away. When you all regroup at the bottom of the resin strand, Hanne points towards the Southern tunnel. "I think I recognize that area. It's one of the echo chambers. The worms set them up around the egg chamber to warn of intruders. There are large resin strands, so any vibration sets them to humming, warning them of intruders. We may be able to get out that way, but we'll have to be extra quiet." She pauses a moment to look back up at the egg clusters, then looks at Brox. "You're sure I can't have just one? I mean, you got one, and it would really make me look good when...if I get back to Menzoberranzan."
Brox lays a hand on Hanna's shoulder. "I am sorry, I fear the risk is too great. We'll share other treasures with you if we find more along the way. I'll make sure of it." Then she steers the young girl towards the intended direction.
Disappointed, but not willing to go against Brox's wishes, Hanned turns to help lead everyone towards the Echo Chamber to the South. While the floors and walls tremble, no worms enter the egg section. When you are approaching the exit, Hanne turns to everyone. "Remember, stay extra quiet. Even the smallest noise or virbration will set the resin strings singing and bring the worms right down on us," she instructs.
When she turns back to the exit, you all see eleven humanoid figures come out of it towards you. They emerge stealthily, obviously being wary of purple worms, but stop when they see you. They are Drow, each carrying equipment, ropes, knives, weapons, and other things that seemed geared towards gathering eggs. After stopping, a single female drow steps forward, her eyes wide in astonishment as she looks directly at Hanne.
"Hanne?!" says the drow woman. The other drow behind look uneasy, hands near weapons, but the woman holds up a fist, stopping them, and steps forward between the two groups. Hanne, unable to help herself, rushes forward to hug her mother. The woman is shocked momentarily, before patting the head of her daughter. A few quiet words are exchanged that you can't quite hear amid the cavern rumblings. Brox can see their lips moving, but it appears to be in a different language than she is familiar with. At one point, Hanne, points back towards your group. The woman looks up, then back to her daughter. A few more words, and then she and Hanne approach.
"Greetings, my name is Zhora Hallen," says the drow woman in Common. "It seems I owe you a debt. We'd thought Hanne lost when a purple worm caught our group by surprise not long ago. It appears she thought the same. However you came to be here, you have my thanks for keeping her safe. Others from the surface world may have killed without a second thought coming across one of our race. She tells me you're after an egg of your own, and it appears you have gotten one, so I know you're of capable means. I have nothing of value to offer you, but if you've finished your expedition, we can aid you in leaving this area. It's dangerous, as I'm sure you know, but we are quite familiar with the caverns."
Hanne smiles, and the rest of the drow await your response.
Grimnir steps forward in a non-aggressive posture and nods his head. He replies in Common: "Greetings! I am Grimnir Shadowfeet and this is Oorr, Belwar and Brox. Farryl, a companion, is in the back. I must say we did have some bad encounters with your people, but you seems more... how to say it...open-minded ? Anyway, I am glad to reunite a child with his family, no matter its race, this is something important to me." Grimnir pauses, looks around and continues: " We will gladly follow you toward the exit Lady Zhora Hallen, the less time we spend her the better I think."
Grimnir readies himself to follow the dark elves but keeps an eye open for anything suspicious. Ultimately, they were still drows...
OOC: Once out of the cave but before splitting ways, Grimnir would like to ask Lady Zhora what she knows about our Archmage friend Vizeran I'll also ask Belwar to check on the ring I found

Zhora and the Dark Hunters guide you South through one of the echo chambers that Hanne told you about. They are obviously well skilled at getting into and out of the caverns, as they move silently and keep guard as they escort you through the room of resin strands. Tunnels continue to the East, but they redirect towards the South and you find a secondary cavern with a hole in the ceiling, and ropes dangling down. Together everyone climbs up until you seem to be out of the main area of the worm tunnels. The rumbling seem less, and after traveling a bit further, Zhora stops the group.
"Thank you again for protecting Hanne. I don't know if you'll ever find yourself in the City of Spiders, Menzoberranzan, but if you do, know you have at least one friend there. It's the least I can do. There is a Vizeran that is known to us. Archmage Vizeran DeVir. His house was a rival of the first house of the city, House Baenre. He had some sort of rivalry with a wizard of that house, Gromph Baenre. It escalated to a point where Gromph ousted Vizeran as an unbleliever of Lolth. Disgraced, Vizeran was outcast from the city, and subsequently House DeVir was wiped out by house Do'Urden. Most of us assumed Vizeran had died after being cast out, but rumors existed of a drow wizard fending for himself near the Wormwrithings. If you've encountered him, it would seem there was some truth to those rumors. Archamages are quite powerful, and vengeful. If you have encountered him, be cautious, and try not to get on his bad side."
Zhora and her hunters are eager to get back to safety, and bid you farwell. Before they leave, Hanne rushes up to Brox and gives her a hug. "Thank you for helping me find my mom," shes says as she rushes off to join the Drow leaving the cavern. Zhora advises you of the location of the Beholder that Vizeran had mentioned. Directly South of your location for about a day's travel. She warns you that the Beholder has many followers. A cult of humanoids that the Beholder has bound to him. He calls himself Karazikar.
Moments later, the Drow are gone, and you and your entourage are left once more in the Underdark.
