“Funny. I thought that was a sentiment that I should be delivering to you.”
Felix turns and walks back toward the gate towards the city itself, leaving the entire party to exit through the open gates leading out to the western border, and what lay beyond.
Uthal has been walking alongside but hearing the question he makes sure there's a little more space between himself and the wagon. He then looks over to Ander and mouths, "just in case."

The party successfully leaves the city of Cathaan, passing several guards on the way out along the road, but they pay you no mind. Under the guise of the Archmeister's envoy for goods to be brought to the far west city of Korusant, the party is now free to decide which of the two potential destinations they will seek first. The occult practices of the Berossus's have brought you together, and now finding them is the next step of each of your journeys.
It takes a couple days of travel, during which nothing happens. After the amount of excitement, within a short amount of time, you all faced since arriving in Cathaan, this may be a welcomed reprieve. However, the exact end of the spectrum can get very mind numbing, very quickly.
After the first night’s long rest, you all awake rejuvenated and reflect on everything that had happened, learning from your experiences and coming out a little bit wiser.
But now, on the third day of your travels, the sun high in the sky, you’ve left the open fields and farm lands, and entered a forest, where the road forks. A road sign with two arrows stands at the split. The one pointed north reads “Lindenfeld,” while the one pointing west reads “Midgar.”
"Midgar,"Ura says immediately, pointing west. "It's been a relief getting out of the city, to be honest. I'd rather spend my time in a forest right now, and the path to Midgar looks adequately forrested."
Technically speaking, Ura isn't quite sure she wants to go into the forest. It's big, and silent, and not bustling, and dirty, and there's no indoor plumbing. Being in a place without indoor plumbing and bread available for filching from a shop around the next corner is a new experience for her. But, well... it's got to be a better one than nearly getting shanked by junkies and then dismembered by cultists. I'll take the deers and the mosquitos anyday over that.
"According to this map, going to Midgar would be the right path to head towards the Castle of Aaargh. And to be honest, after the last few days, I miss the forest."
Continuing on the road to Midgar, you find yourself surrounded by lush forest for a majority of the journey now, a nice change of pace for any traveler coming from Cathaan. At times, the trees even stretch out far enough the shade the road. It was early morning when you decided your path, from where the road divided, and you traveled unhindered up to this point, now as the day reaches mid-afternoon, and the forest begins to become somewhat rocky and uneven.
As the party’s wagon ((‘A’ in discord map)) rounds an embankment, something is visible up ahead, just beyond a check point between two steep rises on either side of the road; a bottleneck choke point, if ever there was one. However, what is beyond, is a wagon ((‘B’ in discord map)), with a broken wheel and charred remains of a covering. An ox laid dead a few feet from it, and broken crates and blood seem strewn about the scene. Several arrows litter the ground, ox, and wagon.
While the scene appears to be silent, you see movement. A small greenish creature sits on an overturned box near the ox; it’s back to you and seemingly unaware of your presence.

Ura slips off the cart quietly and glances around the forest, trying to see if there are more little green men waiting to ambush any travellers passing by the wreckage.

Uthal puts out a hand to get the others attention and then unslings his warhammer. Looking back and seeing Ura is already gone he slowly advances towards the figure.

From the wagon’s point of view, if was difficult to see up the small cliff sides on either side of the road, so it would have been fairly easy to hide from sight. While no additional goblins could be seen, there were notable sounds coming from the woods to the southwest. Ura’s keen sense of hearing gave her an assuredness that if those sounds were in fact more goblins waiting in hiding, they were well beyond the potential choke point and posed no threat, at this time. Ura hide beneath the wagon, completely hiding in its shadow.
As Uthal proceeded forward, while in plain sight, was still at the goblin’s back and the noise had not yet alerted the creature.
Well...Ura thinks to herself as she slinks out from under the cart and pulls up close to a horse, being sure to stay hidden, that was counterproductive. Spending too long on this continent has made me too jumpy.
"There's something in the woods to the southwest," she whispers to Anaeris and Ander as she nocks her bow. "Get ready, because I'm taking a shot instead of any chances."
As Ura’s arrow flies through the air, the goblin’s head begins to turn towards the direction of the party, and it sees the arrow, out of the corner of its eye, coming straight towards it. However, the goblin’s reflexes are no where near fast enough to avoid the projectile. It manages to say something in a language unknown to the rest of you, right before the arrow comes down, piercing its skull, but stopping before going all the way through. The goblin maintains up right for a moment, long enough for you to see that the arrow now protruded from both sides of its head like a gruesome real version of a jokesters arrow headband.
The goblin then crumples forward, hunched over whatever it had been holding, and had kept its attention while the party managed to get the drop on it.

Uthal nods. "Thank you. If you see Trevor, kill him for me."

“Funny. I thought that was a sentiment that I should be delivering to you.”
Felix turns and walks back toward the gate towards the city itself, leaving the entire party to exit through the open gates leading out to the western border, and what lay beyond.
"So," Ura says pleasantly to Anaeris as the horses continue to clop-clop forward. "You do know how to drive this thing, right?"
Uthal has been walking alongside but hearing the question he makes sure there's a little more space between himself and the wagon. He then looks over to Ander and mouths, "just in case."

Anearis tries to keep a strait face when Ura asks him the question.
’’I’ve never driven a cart before, but I have ridden a horse. How much different can it be?’’
He secretly hopes that he sounds confident enough to convince her.
Ura stares at Anaeris.
Insight: 20
"Okay," she says, smiling in relief. "Lead the way, then!"
"Pretty damn different." Ander follows Uthal's lead, guiding his horse another few feet away from the cart.

"So... into the forest?" she says hopefully.
