Failing to see anything tremendously useful in her pockets for making fire, the gnome will find 2 rocks preferably ones that are heavier and metallic in colour. She will try to repeatedly smack the two rocks together hoping for some sparks that will ignite the dried grasses. As she does, she will say to herself "Please...please...please work."
Ooc: BeastyC determined it was either early morning or dusk. Sun was a little above horizon but we don't know if it was rising or falling/east or west.
I slowly shake my head, looking around. "I'm afraid I know nothing worthwhile of telling you...not even my own name. I awoke not long before hearing you struggling. I have vague recollections about your kind, but so far that's it." I watch as my hands get bandaged. "Thank you....I appreciate that. It seems we have many mysteries to solve." I lift my arm to show the tattoos. "I have these as well, but for the life of me can't remember what they may mean. I've also no idea how we ended here, as it seems we would have needed transport of some kind. I'd be welcome for the company as we explore, if you're so inclined."
I squint and hold my hand out to shield my eyes from the sun, then scan the area, looking for any sort of tracks or indications of life other than ours. Perception: 1

You sift through the rocks, discarding those that seem least likely, but selecting a few that feel right. Eventually, you select a couple to try, and strike them together. It takes a couple tries with different combinations, but eventually you get some that produce sparks, and with a bit more work, are able to sit back proudly from a steadily growing little blaze.
((The sun is a handspan or so above the horizon, so either early morning or late afternoon, the temperature is warm, but not stifling. That's about as much as whoever else rolled could tell, but you can always try too.))
-------------------------
((trustlife))
You don't spot anything too immediately meaningful, but you do see the assorted debris from what presumably was the ship you were both on strewn about the beach. There might be something useful in there, or that might help you in your current circumstances.
You find a pouch on yourself with a handful of coins of different metals, stamped with various animals.
((Calandris))
You bring your hand up to shield the sun a moment too late, having looked directly into the blazing orb and the glowing after image obscures your attempts to spot anything of use.
The dead bodies are moderately startling, though part of you feels like you've certainly had to deal with them before, the reality in your current circumstance jars you out of your attempt to discover anything too meaningful.
Each of the three figures not dressed like you seem to have a dagger in a sheath at their belt, and one of the ones in your colors has leather armor similar to yours, the other in soft clothing in the same shades.

The gnome sits back on the rocky sand looking into the flames beaming with pride. 'This accomplish will go a long way to helping them survive. Maybe it will signal other survivors to their location' . When she hears the man yell out his findings, she gets up and heads in his direction to help search the wreakage.
When she sees the other figures lying on the beach she will say to her companion, "Oh gosh! Are they dead?" She will stop to examine their bodies maybe try to determine how long they have been dead or what kind of creature they are. She will also look for anything on there bodies that may be useful.

Ooc: Sorry, DM, was your comment to Beasty or to me about the bodies?
The Gnome calls out to Blue, "We should probably wait to explore the trees until we are better outfitted. We can bring a torch with us and things to act as weapons to protect ourselves. Feel free to investigate a little, but it may not be a good idea to go too far from the beach."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Blinking and cursing himself for his sluggishness, he turns back to the sails and rigging. "Hmm. wonder if there's any clues among your trappings."He moves to the netting and sails, looking for any clues, as well as attempting to collect any salvageable rope.

"It would probably be best to flock together. We should probably look to secure a clean water source and some food. There might be other survivors, too. I'd like to give these a try", I say, flapping my wings, "and survey from above. Do you care to search among the wreckage in the meantime?"
I try to fly and survey a 200ft in each direction along the coast, looking for survivors, and maybe 100ft above the trees looking for running water.
Leaving the fire burning merrily, you head down the beach to discover that the bodies are indeed dead. Little in the way of obvious injuries would seem to point to drowning as the likely cause of death, and they don't seem to have been in the water any longer than you were, several hours at the most. They all seem to be human, like the non-blue, non-grey companion you have met (BeastyC's character).
Rolling the bodies, you find, in addition to the three daggers on the bodies you presume to be sailors, you realize that the two wearing your colors both have a medallion hanging on a chain around their necks, and a brief check of your person reveals you're wearing one too. It depicts a black bird of prey of some sort in flight on a golden background.
It is interesting that neither your or the others wearing the same colors seem to have been armed, but that many of you seem to be wearing armor, albeit only leather armor.
---------------
((Calandris))
You manage to find a couple usable lengths of rope, and knot them together (50ft total). In your digging, you find another body of someone who didn't fare as well, the cloth trapping them under the water level. They aren't wearing the same colors as you and the bird person, but you do find a dagger at their hip.
((Trustlife))
You take to the air, and are able to spot smoke rising from the other side of a forested peninsula. If you wished to approach it on foot with your rescuer, you could cut through a few hundred feet of dense forest, or go the long way around, along the shore. Or, it would be easy enough to fly closer, but it would mean leaving them behind for now.
((Not sure what you mean by feathers showing, but your armor is crafted to your anatomy, leaving wings and arms free to fly and do stuff.))

I nod to the creature as I begin digging around. Finding the dagger I pick it up, then begin to test the balance and take a swing, trying to determine my comfort level with the blade.

Blue will look around the beach to see if there's any signs of other life (Survival: 15), then start cautiously towards the foliage.
"We should probably get moving. Don't know how long we've been here or what else is calls this place its home."
