//Pretty sure we've done it both ways. With spirit Guardians we've had the damage apply immediately when cast and I think I've forced it before with effects applying right away. But or being a damaging spell that doesn't change anything with our initiative process. That's kinda the thing, and you'll need to decide how we do this. Side initiative gives the pc's certain advantages but could result in the spell having no effect at all with concentration checks and order of turns.//

The fire continues to rage, quickly consuming the dying vegetation around you. You can feel the heat continue to build.
(Ink, if you wish, you can make an Intelligence check and use Fiendfire to try and control the flames and keep them from spreading towards you and your friends. They have to be willing to group together for this to be effective.)
