Winterflame looks up from his spellbook upon hearing the horn. He looks at the two others to see if they've heard it as well. "Is that one of yours? I know I wasn't expecting anyone."
"Belthran. That's the large fellow?" Book asks, as he stands and begins to pack his things, sighing over the likelihood that he had not had enough time to refresh his mind, and prepare more appropriate spells for the situation they found themselves in. "I had assumed he had gone with some of the others."
Flying down from the roof, Syr Cygnus and Sarang land and she say to everyone, "I hear horns and Belthran is out there. I suspect that there is trouble afoot, I hope Belthran was not caught by any Gnolls, but we'll see what we can and get back soonest." She shakes her head ruefully, "I don't think we should go anywhere alone any more, the risk is too great that we will not be able to aid one another. Be alert for my return or the approach of any enemy. Does any of you have a horn or other signaling device? If you do, sound it if Belthran returns, a short distinct note, three times; and if the Gnolls show up, long notes continuous.
"Do any of those slain here have a horn? Does anyone have more javelins? I have only a few." (OCC did any keep Vrajitor's 7?)

Herne says "I have a horn. I will do as you say My Lady. Vrajitor's weapons were buried with him, as per custom. they would have done you no good though, he hade then heavier and more to fit his size and strength."
Winterflame's eyes take on a faint sheen as he communes briefly with his familiar. "Please, let Syr Cygnus, know, and keep an eye out from a safe distance." He blinks and looks towards the others, "I think we should prepare, there's some kind of movement near the horses. By the way, I meant to ask earlier, have you or your group had any other interactions with wizards? I'm specifically looking for members of the Arcane Brotherhood, but they may have been in disguise."
Upon hearing the horn and Vor, Alaric will emerge from his den. Alaric will draw his pistol and tell Vernon to stay put here with Billie for a minute.
He'll approach the others and say "Somethings wrong, Belthran hasn't returned and now one of the other horses is missing? We should've moved on towards the mines!" Alaric will walk back to his shack and tell Vernon and Billie to start getting ready to leave.
"We all shouldn't be so exposed right now. But more importantly we need to find our giant and goliath and get out of here" He'll then ask Herne to accompany him to check on the wagon. When he reaches there he'll see if he can try to retrace Belthran's steps. Alaric thinks its likely that Belthran went back to the wagon to start looking for his horse. Alaric will be looking for giant footprints.
Syr Cygnus will fly closer to the two 'children', suspecting that they might actually be goblins, after all, Sarang isn't on the same planet as Albert E..

Herne replies as he checks his rifle. "That's a Gnoll war horn. it signals an attack, retreat, and announces arrival after a victory"
"Hmm.... any idea which one that is? Are they going to attack again? Seems like a long time to announce their retreat."
