"So first we come across bandits, then we see remnants of people triggering deadly traps, and now we come across large living mushrooms," Druquilla sighs in frustration shouldering her bow. "The compass better be here or so help me I am putting an arrow through that fool's head and feeding him to the fishes, maybe even that crab back in the pool."
"Bigman," Mist calls to Gintarou from the back of the group. "Think you can pull your lasso trick again and get that vase and the necklaces? Less worried about the pot but those beads caught my accessorizing eye!"
Excellent. Anything immediately remarkable about the vase or the necklaces (or names to put them under in the inventory)? We can always entreat our wizard to identify things when we get back if he feels so inclined.
As I posted before the door is not trapped and it is unlocked.
This chamber resembles the interior of a large geode. Natural crystal formations grow in clusters in the corners and along the ceiling and walls. A single large crystal, a blue quartz about 4 ft. tall, emerges from the ceiling of the room. The entire room has been structured with meticulous accuracy and the numerous crystals seem to glow from within, glinting and glittering brightly when exposed to any source of light. Kraven, Gintarou, and Drquilla with your passive perception, as the torches move in the room you notice thick piles of fine ash in the corners. What do you all do?
Zan coughs. "Don't look like no compass I ever seen. Onward!"
"Indeed, my fine feathered funambulist! However, we are looking for a compass to trade for gold and these treasures similarly convert to gold so I'd say they're close enough to keep on hand."Mist grins and shrugs as he stuff the loot in his pack.
"Sorry to disturbing you. I like mushrooms but hate to be eaten by mushrooms." Gintarou prays for the dead monsters. The warrior finds a pile of ash when he peeks into the room of crystal. "I think we find the another member of the last explorer. " Gintarou uses his polearm to see if he can stir the ash without entering the room.
(Please tell me which skil check I should roll, if Gintarou can reach the Ash)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kraven will try and study the walls and floors from the door frame and then if he does not see anything will fly over to the center crystal and inspect it as well.

Mist is drawn to the sparkly crystals and looks carefully at them (without touching anything) to determine if there's anything magical or unnatural to them.
"And what might we have here?" he muses as he leans in and squints a bit for a closer look.
Arcana/Nature: 4 (<- straight d20 roll +4 if you'd prefer arcana, +2 if nature)
If he survives his inspection, he'll check the ashes to see if there's any indication as to what they used to be or from which direction whatever caused them to become ashes came (magical blast marks...?)
First the crystals make a star map. The larg crystal in the center represents the world, and the rest mark positions of stars.
As for the ashes and the center crystal. You see that the piles of ash are are at a location that you could trace back to the center crystal. You know that it is not active, and you are >90% sure that you can destroy the crystal with out being hurt.

I would say that Mist got "Beads" seeing as I was under the impression you were touching the nature, which is what the trigger was for the monsters.

You would not have been able to see them before entering. Nothing happens when you "stir" the ashes.
