(They both have even higher passive scores than you. The disadvantage on passive is only for sight. You remain unseen. They are unable to target you with walls in the way, so they will have to move if they want to attack you.)
Toren is confident he's left no trace of his passage, but Eider's quick investigation shows scuffs on the floor where he walked and a trail of smoke from the dimension door fading behind him, the sound of his feet brushing the stone, even his breathing is audible to the most observant combatants. If Baryk or the Hunter have skills as keen as Eider's they'll know where Toren went when they arrive, though they won't be able to see him hidden in the darkness.
(Note that if they were here observing you, your attempt to hide would fail.)
(I can't interrupt their turn mid post to tell them when they detect you. This is PbP. There are two teams in this fight. You each have your specialties. Your opponents specialties are stealth and perception. Yours is defence. Knowing your location gives them very little benefit. Particularly since you remain unseen. As you said you are trying to hide, and trying to avoid detection but the DC (that is their passive skill) is higher than your roll. So you tried and failed. Sometimes failure happens.)
Baryk fires twice from E-8 at the tower entrance before he disappears again like a thief in the night. One of his shots flies true, but for the second he sacrifices accuracy for power, the second bolt is turned away but Toren's magical energy. The first will hit... Or will it.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Woods:
The new competitors enter the arena some timid, others confident.
A figure with earthy skin tones could possibly pass for an elf though a bit more stout. He wears a mask and robes, but closer examination reveals his orcish heritage. He carries a knotted wooden staff and little else. "New competitors every day. This fellow hides his face. A gruesome visage lurks beneath! Gell Grey Rock!"
An Elfish girl with bright red hair wears little for protection, onmy simple leather. But a pair of small swords and a beast of a bow may keep her foes away. "A dangerous beauty, I'd say keep your distance, but that may not do you any good! Sarah Sharlier!"
An Orcish monster sporting a symbol of faith. Defended with heavy chain armor and an axe fit to fell the largest of foes. "Defeated once, he won't be detered! If he can wield his axe as strongly as his voice he's sure to find victory! Ogguimash the Masher!"
A stunning elfish lady with platinum blond hair wearing very fine clothes, notably the right sleeve of her blouse is tailored to reveal bronze scales rising up that arm. "A lovely lady has come to display the prowess of her noble house! Denka of the Bronze Bloodline!"
An odd tiefling with clear signs of dwarven heritage, protected by scaled armor and a shield. He wields a dueling sword and carries the symbol of Hanseath, a dwarven god. "Returning after a loss, he'll need to take a win today, cause either way he's going to have to show his face in The Glory tomorrow. Our newest barman! Zevryl Gaunaduar!"
A monster from the nightmares of children, but also a strong and proud race. Clad in heavy chain armor, he carries a versatile polearm with a long curved blade. "Powerful and terrifying, but not terrifying enough to scare off the last set if goes he faced. The Hob Goblin! Vurnic!"
A human man in studded leather armor carries a pair of cutlas. They glow with a faint white energy and spark faintly as he draws them. "We've seen this look of intensity before. In the turtle's eyes! A fierce hunter begins his path today! Gordon!"
And one more for even teams... (18 correct die below)... A druid. "Amaruve!"
Teams: Gell will be teamed up with... (6)... Amaruve... (4)... Denka, and... (7)... Sarah. (NPC class: 11... Druid)
The competitors head into their respective gates and prepare for battle. The moment seems to stretch on for ages before... The gates burst open *k'chunk* the battle begins.
(Gell, Sarah, Denka, and Amaruve are up.)
(BDaddLy produces a box of intricately painted figurines. From it he locates exactly the right model to represent your characters. Gell Greyrock: L, Sarah Sharlier: S, Denka of the Bronze Bloodline:D, and Gordon:N.)
Each space on the grid is 5 ft. × 5 ft. In the example I've placed K at C-2. The proportions can be a bit confusing because the grid appears narrower than it is tall.
Note: there are some special ruling in the campaign public notes intended to facilitate PbP and PvP. Notably initiative plays out primarily by teams rather than by characters.
Amaruve Is a tall slender elf with grey-blue skin and dark hair. He carries a spear and a shield and wears worn scraps of leather armor. He scoops up a fistful of stones and they glow momentarily with energy as he casts Magic Stone
"The nose" he mumbles as he waits for the gate to open.
Gell takes up position at O1 and taps the butt of his staff against the floor.
"Burn my Shadow."
His shadow peels away from the ground to enshroud him in transparent grey veil.
Gell casts False Life for 6 temporary hit points.
