This round, Eclipse keeps the ship where it is. 'Laitraxa, I'm going to send down a rope so you and the prisoners can come up on deck. I'll then start to raise the anchor.' He unfurls his rope of climbing and commands it to tie itself to a sturdy beam at the gunwale, and lower down to the anchor chain, knotting itself for easy climbing. Hopefully, Laitraxa, the prisoners, and even the Pixie and the Doctor can use it to get back onto the Reaver's Word.
"Tyrod! How's the drop hopper coming?"
"Janear, and New Creature! Is someone on the cauldron? Can someone on the Ballista give that Pixie cover fire, or else keep up the pressure on the air bag?"
Theena> From what you can tell, most of them don't understand you. Either there's a language barrier or they're too distracted. One, however, does, and that orc grabs a piece of broken wood and sticks it in the ballista-fire, lighting it, while yelling something at the others and pointing to the balloon. Half the others copy him.
Eclipse> The rope dutifully obeys, and Druaz, the lizard woman, meets your gaze when spoken to,so she probably heard you.
Eclipse, his eyes darting back and forth from Laitraxa to the Pixie, cage to devil-ship, remembers that the dragon may not have been reading his thoughts when he and Theena spoke earlier. 'Laitraxa, the Pixie says that the Orcs aren't slavers. Then she glided back to the other ship, and is on deck there with the orcs to save a crewman who is trapped below deck.'
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Laitraxa does not respond to Eclipse.
Message only works with responses, and isn't true telepathy. She got a response from Eclipse and hasn't pinged him back, so he shouted that last statement into the wind.
Staring down into the cage, she speaks... trying to sound comforting, though subtle expressions and meanings are often lost when she talks in common.
"You must wake up... those of you who can, climb this rope. Those who cannot... hold tight. I will find a way to further free you."
A scaly claw moves the end of the rope to the hole made by the anchor.
Laitraxa's belly still swirls with the acid of a Copper, though she has wrapped the volatile fluid with her own fire to keep it from harming her insides. She looks to two places. If the locked door is situated upwards or on the side, where it could be opened and the rope placed for easy climbing, she will attempt to blast the lock with a bolt of acid. If the door is instead situated on the bottom, she will attempt to widen the topside hole by applying some acid to the top bars and bending the weakened metal back.
Chromatic Orb (acid): 7 Damage: 0
OOC Bad damage roll input, in that I didn't put any dice in. Here's 3d8: 11
OOC 2: I also thought we were flying, misread on my part. Probably blast the lock if the ship is stationary...
A moment after the orcish man barked an order and the others started lighting scrap wood, one snake like rope wraps around his neck, and promptly snaps it. The Sky throws the body off the ship and deck is suddenly covered with ropes tearing into the orcs. By this point Theena is already at the doorway. One terrified half-orcish woman barrels forward toward the same doorway, looking for safety.
Acrobatics to see if Theena can avoid getting knocked down the stairs: 13
Laitraxa sees one of the rag-covered figures, a tall and gaunt figure, stand and move to climb our of the hole. As his hood falls back you see that his skin is a bright blue. As he looks to the wyrmling through dreary eyes he manages to say, "T- they drug us... might not h-hear..." He looks as if he's going to pass out. A smaller figure behind him has stood up, but the rest aren't making a move.
Druaz gives Eclipse a salute, shoves the ballista around with her foot, then fires it at the bag of the Hungry Sky. Attack: 17 Damage: 11
The Hungry Sky lifts off the ground slowly, amass of writhing rope and green flame.
Theena tumbles down the stairs, landing on top of the larger woman (no damage...to you). At the base of the stairs, missing it's left armrest, is Cinnabar's wheelchair, empty and ominous.
Seeing the figure and hearing his claim, Laitraxa mentally shouts up at Eclipse, her mental voice projecting her concern clear as day: "They're drugged, and helpless! Raise the anchor up, it's secure enough! Tiamat's breath, I wish Balzachi were here to lift them out."
(Ooc - I’ve been very confused since we dropped initiative. I’ve been trying to hold back and keep myself to one post per round but there are like a million posts from different people each round, some of them OOC stuff and then corrections etc. Could we 1. Have a messaging thread for OOC chat, corrections etc. 2. Have a top of round post pls. Like seriously, what do I post when I have been given contradictory instructions and everyone is moving at super speed asking me to do something and then asking if I’ve done it in the same round.)
Jenaer calmly heads down to the cauldron, rubbing his hands together, relishing the destruction he would rain down on his enemies. He had no idea why the Mawn was shouting at him, but he was a big fan of the slow and painful death he could dole out with the cauldron. He peers down, to see who’s below waiting for the perfect moment to pour the cauldron. “So, the Pixie’s off limits then? That is an awful shame. I suppose I’ll have to kill boring old orcs.”
Eclipse turns the windlass, first slowly, but picking up speed, and the anchor moves upward, first inch by inch then faster.
While performing this action, he listens for instructions from Laitraxa and is ready to stop raising anchor on her command. ‘Tell me, my beauty, if I need to slow the anchor. Likewise, I am keeping an eye on the now rising Hungry Sky.’ If he can, Eclipse causes the Reaver’s Word to ascend, keeping its distance and keeping above the other ship. ‘I want the cauldron directly over the airbag. But—can we see whether the damage the cursed ship’s airbag has taken seems to have slowed it down at all? If so, then point of aim for the cauldron is essential. If not, then it’s not.’
He is is trying to send these thoughts to Laitraxa, while shouting the same thing to Druaz, Jenaer, and Tyrod, and if possible, acting upon them. (OOC: are the various controls he wishes to manipulate all within reach?)

Yeah, sorry about that, dropping it entirely was just a bad idea on my part. OOC thread here. I'm going to work with group Initiative; All PCs, then all NPCs, each round. For clarity, I don't usually treat talking as an action (unless it runs long). PC actions happen in the order they are posted. When all the PCs have taken an action (or posted that they are holding / declining to act), I'll post the NPC actions / events in the environment.
Forclarity, post #129-130 was the npc phase of the round. Jenaer's movement is the first event of the following PC round. Jenaer can still act, though the Word isn't directly above the Sky, so you wouldn't hit it with the cauldron if used at the moment. Unless you want to do something else first, I'll assume you're holding your action to unload the cauldron.
BTW, for future reference, I would rule that using the cauldron with that particular payload is a valid use of a cannibal's 'Theft of Spirit' class feature, since exactly how much of the contents are your own excrement is really a technicality.
Scrambling to her feet, noted the Doctor's broken and empty seat. "Cinnabar! Cinnabar where are you!" she called out in the cabin as she searched for the man or any clues about his whereabouts. She wasn't going to let the ship take another innocent person if she had anything to say about it

Eclipse> The controls are within reach. They do require moving around the ship, but there's nothing to impede you. You've got the wagon on the anchor now, hooked and suspended off the ground.
Tyrod> Unless there's an objection, I'm going to say you're modifying the drophopper to hop the droppers. :)
Laitraxa> The blue man has climbed out and is crouching on the cage, holding the anchor chain for support. He's helping pull a red-haired dwarven out of the cage.
Jenaer> The Hungry Sky is rising, slowly, and the orcs on it are being thrown about. The target is tantalizingly close... Insight: 14 - The ship isn't moving to fight them as effectively as it could. It kills one every so often, mostly when they are doing actual damage to the ship, but it keeps letting them run when it could do more harm... It's playing with them.
Theena> The door above Theena and the half-orc woman slams shut. In an inhumanly low voice, which you don't so much hear as remember, like a fading nightmare, "My apologies little pixie, but the doctor is no longer in residence." The voice is directionless, but still feels familiar. "We've talked before, though mortals forget in waking hours. I will make you the offer again, and better; Be my captain and command the crew now on my deck. These people will be safe from me, as will you. I will help you seek what you dream of, and you will do likewise for me. This is the last offer, refuse, and you will meet the doctor again."
Laitraxa helps the pair climb up, sweeping her tail around the man's back to help stabilize him as she maintains a quadruped grip on the top of the cage. She directs them to the Rope of Climbing, which she has aligned closely with the anchor chain for stability.

It can talk...?? she thought to herself surprised, Though I guess if it can fly and attack people on its own, talking isn't that much stranger... Knowing that she couldn't trust the ship as far as she could fly it - which was zero - she knew that making it mad probably was not the best course of action either, especially with there being someone else trapped inside with her. "You're right... there are still many things I need to do. Could you take me to the Chasm Dwarves of High Shale? They might have something I'm looking for, or at least where it might be. And I could help you with whatever it is you want to do as well. Maybe our goals are aligned...?"

Eclipsewill move back to the wheel and focus on steering. He's trying to maintain a height advantage over the Hungry Sky. If he can, he will position the Reaver's Word so that the ship's hull stands between Laitraxa and the prisoner's cage, and the Sky, while also keeping the cauldron positioned over the Hungry Sky's airbag. 'Bring her around...nice and easy does it,' he says to himself while steering, knowing that jerky motions might cause climbers on the rope of climbing to slip and fall.
This round, Eclipse keeps the ship where it is. 'Laitraxa, I'm going to send down a rope so you and the prisoners can come up on deck. I'll then start to raise the anchor.' Laitraxa looks down at the prisoners. Is the hole that the anchor broke initially wide enough for a person to slip through?
