Some friends have invited me to join their group. With me, we will be 3 plauers
IT will be dnd 5e with very slow levering. We start with lvl 3 character.
The other 2 want to have a little focus on some stealth and take from rich People and help poor People out stuff.
One is takling a valor bard, the other some kind of rouge.
What would Compliment the party, so i am usefull. Was considering playing fighter, with stealth from baggrund and go battlemaster to set the others up.
Alternative go druid of the moon with a dip in barbarian. Could be cool. However i feel i might be a bit selvfish. Would it Even help My fellow players?
If they both want to be sneaky, you might want to be sneaky too so you can all sneak together. Druid would go great with that, and using wildshape makes for a very effective 'tank' role in early levels. Take it up a few levels before you decide on barbarian, sounds like you will have plenty of time and character plans often change over time as the story affects them.
Why? It of course highly depends on the session 0 and what is the campaign is supposed to be, but I don't think you should generally feel pressured into playing certain role if you don't like it. You probably shouldn't mix opposite ideals too much (ie. one character helping everyone and other char killing everyone they meet). What does this helping other characters even mean? Pretty much any character helps the party in some way, either in combat or outside of it. The fact that you are the last one to pick the class doesn't mean that you are selfish if you do not pick the "correct" class.
I recommend not multi classing if it's going to be a very slow leveling game because I think you'll gain more by playing straight as opposed to trying to branch out.
A dwarfish druid sounds interesting. You might also consider a trickery cleric or some kind of warlock (Celestial or one with healing).
A monk might be useful for getting peoples faces or even a Ranger now that the revisions have been cemented.
You may even want to try wizard with a decent Dex score. (illusion, conjuration, transmutation, or even enchantment)
You should play what you want to play first and foremost, as long as that doesn’t conflict too much with the rest of the party or with the campaign.
That said, I could see a few qualities that can help the party. Being all-stealth can be pretty good, but isn’t necessary. You could also be the highly visible distraction that gives the other two a better chance of surprising the mark for instance, and taking on that role can give you some leeway to fill gaps in what the party can do overall. With a bard and a rogue making up 2/3 of the roster, more healing and a tanky character wouldn’t go amiss. Something with a decent Con or Wis save would help too. Personally I would probably look at a Cleric or Paladin, although a Fighter (you could at least heal yourself a bit) isn’t bad either. Dwarves make good Fighters and Clerics (go Hill Dwarf for the extra Wis), as well as decent Paladins (Mountain Dwarf).

Want to start playing but don't have anyone to play with? You can try these options: [link].
Valor Bard is an interesting subclass, since the subclass is a combat oriented class, while Bard itself is a support class. Rogue is well, a Rogue, unless the subclass is Arcane Trickster.
Even if the Rogue is Arcane Trickster, I can see your group being thin on straight up firepower. If you are going Dwarf, go some form of Fighter, and don't MC. The Valor Bard subclass will really beef up your attacks. However, I would consider going Wood Elf Ranger, or Wood Elf Druid, if you can be convinced to play a non-Dwarf.

Planing to play a dwarf either way.
Other suggestions are welcome
