I’m having an issue with getting options for my subclass added through properly.
I am creating class feature options that depending on which you choose grants different abilities and perks at different levels. Currently I have everything scaled for levels properly as well as the is Granted button checked (I know you’re supposed to leave it unchecked but without it the options don’t appear when testing it on a character sheet).
The prerequisite class feature option is empty with a line that appears at all times. I’m sure this is my problem and I need to get a prerequisite added in but I can’t seem to figure it out.
Post the link to your homebrew (don't publish, mods can examine it) along with the url to a character sheet using the homebrew so someone can take a look at what's going on.
Which class is this a subclass of?

Here’s the issue I’m running into. Here I have my Class Feature Options, each class feature options are going to have a few abilities/perks that you gain at each level. While I have everything else all set, when going to the character sheet to make sure everything is set: it will not give me all three of my options unless I have the “is granted” box checked and it auto gives all the abilities in the character sheet even though the abilities should be accessible via the feature option you pick.
I think I need to do the prerequisite feature for this but no matter what I do it doesn’t find anything I type in. I’m still playing around with this trying to figure it out and reading the above link to see what may fix this. 🤔
The “is granted” checkbox is supposed to automatically grant the Option, that’s why you don’t want to use it.
just follow the instructions and photos in that link, they have worked for (literally) countless people over the years, if not in that thread than in the original ones I used to refer people to before I compiled them together there. I have a subclass I created with around 70-80 interlinked Options so I know for a fact that my instructions work as they are very thoroughly tested.
I do not have the is granted checkbox marked off, just stating that if I do, it's the only time the three choice options appear in the character sheet. Without it there are no options.
Yup still going back and forth through your tutorial. Not sure what it is I'm missing with the prerequisite options but I'll figure it out eventually
Update: Have most of this figured out, the only being it is still granting all options of the choices despite prerequisite box set properly and is granted box not checked.
Did you re-save the whole subclass and wait 20ish minutes? If so, did you “wake up” your character sheet? (The same link as above, but in the General FAQ #6.)

Yeah I logged out for about a half hour and then it all started working properly.
I ended up referencing Storm Herald Barbarian to make better sense of how to create the prerequisite properly and got everything fixed ☺️
Good, I’m glad it all worked out for you!
