I'm trying to create a Custom Subclass for Druid to use the new UA rules, however I'm stuck on something.
I've been trying to add the options for the Primal Order feature that the class receives at Level 1.
However, when trying to set up the Magician option and add an additional chosen cantrip, i'm able to choose the cantrip, but when I get to the character sheet, it duplicates the cantrip like 9 times on the Spells tab.
Posting links to the actual weird bug, then my set up for the Homebrew Subclass option
Anyone have any insight on what the heck is going on here? And how to prevent it? It'd make it a lot easier to playtest the UA stuff if I can get this to work right.
You’re the second person to mention this kinda problem in two days. I don’t want to open your links because reasons, but how exactly did you attach the cantrip to the subclass?
Add Feature called "Primal Order" (Granted, with Options) -> then add two options, Magician and Warden.
When in Magician option, I clicked Add Spell, then when Adding Spell, I selected: Spell Levels = Cantrip, and Spell Class = Druid. I left all else blank, but it seems to default Consumes Spell Slot = No, and Counts as Known Spell = No
Funnily enough, I guess the server caught up or something because the bug went away now, though I'm concerned to try to mess with it again (I have other players in my campaign I need to do the same thing to and I'm sure I'll run into it again)
Yeah, it can sometimes take up to 20 minutes for stuff like that to shake out. You may also want to set the Ability Score to Wis too or it may not register the correct spellcasting ability.
