has anyone heard of Pointy hat’s Carrion hunter and Death March? Because I just had an idea for both of them, which are pirate themed.
What are they?
A dead captain that died in a fight with another ship after single-handedly killing half the people on board and hiding a bunch of explosives inside of crates on the other ship, died while firing a cannon into the ship, purposefully hitting himself and his parrot who helped with the explosives and tearing People’s eyes out. The parrot turned giant and monstrous and is now his carrion companion. They sail a half sunken ship through the waters day and night, massacring any ships they pass by. He can also ride the parrot and the parrot can pick people up so that would be a fun fight.
and the death march? Well he was once the first mate of a ship but wanted to be a captain. Unfortunately, he wasn’t very good at fighting and couldn’t take it by force. So instead he plotted the ship’s course to sail right through a deadly whirlpool. Almost everyone died, and in the crew’s shock the first mate shot the captain in the back with his pistol, before falling into the maelstrom himself. Hundreds of corpses followed him out of the maelstrom onto the boat, all of them former crew members. They escaped the maelstrom and started taking over ships, adding them to their undead horde.

(it was probably something with the death March, I’ve watched the Carrion hunter video a lot. But also I did kinda ignore some parts of the Carrion hunter turning into a lich part like having to fight the beast to the death (they just died together) and also not contacting humanity (they were on a ship)

actually you missed a lot with both (not in a mean way) to become a carrion hunter you would need to seek out a specific race or monster the eviscerate their local population completely without any outside help other than your beastly partner. you would then have your partner consume their souls once that has been completed you and your beast fight to the death merge and spilt your now combined soul between the 2 of you. for a death march you would need to challenge masters of fighting styles and take their soul adding it to your collection once you have killed enough they become a part of your death march and from then on each warrior you kill joins the march. now for the drawbacks for the carrion hunter you need to keep slaying stronger and stronger beast until either both of you die (you are each others plhactery) or you partner turns on you consumes your soul and you turn into an unholy undead half man half beast that is a combination of your strength (think undead werewolf) for the death march each soldier only last a few years and since you soldiers are your pflyactrey you need to keep finding new ones (if you die you takeover the bodies of one of your soldiers)

For the Carrion hunter, there’s no real reason why the creatures they’re hunting can’t be people. It’s implied that the creatures the carrion hunter hunts to transform would be their favored foe or whatever it’s called, which could be humans. And I mentioned how they kept fighting ships I think, which could probably be them trying to find a worthy opponent (which does not need to be a beast) and for the death march, I don’t think it ever actually says how you need to defeat them (I could be wrong) so if all of those people on that ship, probably being VERY good sword fighters/ whatever, then I think it would make sense if they tricked them and killed all of them that way, in my mind at least. And besides I think it’s kinda cool, and I like to bend rules a little. :)

Thousands of years ago, the Demon King brought the Warped Forests from the Netherworld, choking the earth and our cities. He reigned for hundreds of terrible years, devouring entire nations indiscriminately. But one day, an unnamed, half-blooded outcast rose from the wreckage and slew the hateful Demon King where he stood. The hero was named Lady Tristan, and she brought about an era of peace, progress, and freedom.
Prejudice is a thing of the past, and steam power holds the key to our future. By burning the possessed fungi in the Warped Forests, we can release their eldritch power into our machines. Since the forests grow so incredibly quickly, we'll never run out of fuel.
Our villages are small and many, but with our road systems we are never truly divided. We even got the spirits to help with keeping the roads clear. Of course, with the dangers the megafauna and flora pose to them in particular, they don't help directly, but they keep our people happy and safe in the villages. Machine spirits, mage spirits, fire spirits, artisan spirits, too many kinds to list... but we do not talk about the demons. They do not forget, and neither shall we.

Sounds awesome. If you ever want to get really into the fungal aspect of your world I suggest you read Entangled Life by Merlin Sheldrake. He is a neat mycologist but he is also an artist. His medium: fungi and decomposition.
I'm gonna be brutally honest here, I like you guys a lot (using "guys" as a gender-neutral term here), but I wanna see how it goes first before appointing any mods.

I might pick it up sometime, but I haven't been reading many books lately. None of my literature has drawn my eye. I haven't even started the Artemis Fowl books I got for my birthday this year.

Henlo, I am a pan, NB, chaotic ADHD mess of a furry.
I am also a eepy eeper, who likes WoF, WC, and fire.
I’d wanna mod too, but too many can get to be too much. Still, looks INCREDIBLE!!!!!
If I’m being annoying, tell me to shut up. Seriously. Just say “Bananer shut up.” And I will. For a few seconds!
Don’t listen to the folks down at Adohands. It’s good for me to overwork myself.
Professional idiot! Trans! Pansexual pancake! I am a minor so you will do none of that (GP) with me! I use He/They pronouns :3

Sounds awesome. If you ever want to get really into the fungal aspect of your world I suggest you read Entangled Life by Merlin Sheldrake. He is a neat mycologist but he is also an artist. His medium: fungi and decomposition.
Also its cool to see the old profile pic back.

Is it set in the minecraft world, or just inspired by it?
