Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 slashing damage.
Shortbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 40/160 ft., one target. Hit: 1 piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 minute. If its saving throw result is 5 or lower, the poisoned target falls unconscious for the same duration, or until it takes damage or another creature takes an action to shake it awake.
Heart Sight. The sprite touches a creature and magically knows the creature's current emotional state. If the target fails a DC 10 Charisma saving throw, the sprite also knows the creature's alignment. Celestials, fiends, and undead automatically fail the saving throw.
Invisibility. The sprite magically turns invisible until it attacks or casts a spell, or until its concentration ends (as if concentrating on a spell). Any equipment the sprite wears or carries is invisible with it.
I think these are great for a good/neutral allined warlock
I've got one for my pact of the celestial warlock, and I've had nothing but fun with it.
Can't wait to meet a Sprite and befriend it with my elemental Eldritch Knight/Druid!
Pact of the fay should get this
What's a fey's favorite drink?
SPRITE!
The refreshing taste of lemon lime sprite Dayum dats gud
To my fellow necromancers, these little creatures make excellent sacrifices for any necessary spells which required good aligned sentient creatures (such as Velsharoon's Death Pact). Their abundance in the fey while provides an opportunity for the more industrious individual wishing to gather more illicit ingredients without raising local suspicions. At this point you may be wondering why I do not recommend to go after pixies instead as they appear equally abundant in the fey while, it is because of the foolish nature of sprite unlike the pixies they are highly aggressive which in turn makes them infinitely easier to locate and harvest, any competent necromancer should have no issue with a swarm of sprite's.
When confronting a Sprite town/Village I recommend the liberal use of your minions, your force should primarily consist of skeletons with nets with zombies as brute force and a Wight. Unfortunately these creatures are smart enough to know to relocate their towns after you of harvest from them require you to find a new location. Past experience would recommend not pursuing the same group as they have most likely retreated further into their force the bolts and sought the protection of a stronger creature.
This comment sounds like a cookbook.
It doesn't tell what the max duration for the concentration for its Invisibility feature is. Is it infinite as long as it doesn't attack, cast a spell, or get hit? Or is there an assumed duration?
infinite
No.
I really wish the range attack was an energy attack instead of a bow and arrow since they're magical beings.
can you equip your sprite with better armor and weapons miniaturized.
I don't think that would do much seeing as they're just so small. They likely won't wear metal seeing as they're Fey and the tiny upgraded weapons won't do much good, seeing as a nail made of steel or mythril is still just a tiny nail. also, even if one would wear tiny plate armor, it may be too heavy for them to fly and it would likely bend easier than sardine cans.
thanks
It's totally your DM's call. However, you can't necessarily assume the sprite is proficient with other things, such as studded leather.
Spells however work normally, so you can use magic weapon on its sword/bow or cast mage armor on it.
Sprites are more common than most people believe. However, their intentional interaction with non-fey is usually in is large groups of say, 6 or 7-up to perhaps a 10, for safety. They are generally uninterested in the mundane but every now and then the occasional adventurous scholar will saunter out to study the dealings of the large humanoids. In fact, the infamous Pixel Byte, spent a whole week at a mill while invisibly sitting on the thumb of the millner until he finally sneezed breaking Pixels concentration. Pixel was able to escape while the customer chased the millner around the scales. This incident led to the expression don't "feyed a weigh".
They are little warriors, not little spellcasters.
The pact of the chain version of Find Familiar, lets you get some “improved familiars”. It’s still a bit fuzzy for me, but do the familiars get the action and powers of the critters, like imp, and sprite, or just the attack actions? As a player/DM I usually only allow attacks, as Find Familiar says the familiar is a spirit that takes the creature’s shape, gaining only movement and attacks. I have a sprite familiar, and it’s stat blocks include the invisibility and heart sense... would a pact of the chain familiar have access to this?
Yes they do. Now equipment is up to you. Special powers come with the summons of pact of the chain. Same with imp etc.
