Description
A worg is an evil predator that delights in hunting and devouring creatures weaker than itself. Cunning and malevolent, worgs roam across the remote wilderness or are raised by goblins and hobgoblins. Those creatures use worgs as mounts, but a worg will turn on its rider if it feels mistreated or malnourished. Worgs speak in their own language and Goblin, and a few learn to speak Common as well.

Posted May 13, 2021Compared to the goblin riding it, the worg looks more medium than large

Posted May 29, 2021They should be in there, I found them, in the end I think, the animals section. I am thinking of making a ranged based, Cavalier fighter, Grung, who rides a worg, with the mounted combat feat.

Posted Aug 12, 2021personally I subscribe to the notion that the alignment for a given creature in any book is a generalization, I.E. the typical so and so is this alignment. But given goblins are supposed to be evil, and PCs that are goblins aren't bound by this, so too can monsters.
In other words, a Goblin PC and his Worg Sidekick is absolutely a viable thing. If the goblin happens to be a mounted expert and the worg his warrior sidekick mount, well that's just gravy on top of it all.

Posted Mar 29, 2022That's the problem, worgs understand much more advanced emotions and would easily rebel against the goblinoid armies but ogres are simple minded, just tell them to beat someone and they'll do it

Posted Aug 20, 2022Those are "Animal Languages" - druids can speak these, if they have the right spell. When an animal have another languages than their own, it usually only means that, that they can understand the other race intentions, and not actually speaking the language. (Worgs are among the rare exceptions, but that's also why they are considered Monstorsities, and not Beasts. But their own language is closer to the wolves and other canines own, animal language, so that's not learnable by normal methods.)
