I'm not sure if this is a bug or a misunderstanding of the rules on my part, but the character sheet currently lists my Tiefling Warlock as having 180' Darkvision due to these 2 abilities stacking, which I don't think is correct. As far as I know, you should just have whichever of the 2 is greater (in this case Devil's Sight 120 foot Darkvision.)
so my warlock a Yaun-ti has the Devil Sight incantation and it shows up as Darkvision 180 ft. under the perception tab, shouldn't just go to 120 ft. replacing the racial and not adding to it. link to show.

Actually, Devil's Sight is notdarkvision. Darkvision is, objectively, worse than Devil's Sight as not only do you see in greyscale withdarkvision, but you also suffer a -5 penalty to your passive perception on checks that rely on sight if you're in pitch black darkness. With Devil's Sight, you see as if you would under bright light conditions.

Yes that I get but when you click on passive perception it says Dark Vision 180 ft. not Devils Sight 120 ft. is what i am trying to say.
There's a similar bug with the Gloom Stalker's Umbral Sight feature, which says it should extend the racial darkvision by an extra 30' (for 90' total) but D&D Beyond is showing it as 120'.
The nice thing is with the new version of the sheet you can put in a manual override for things like this, so even though it would be nice if it did it correctly, at least you can make it show the right number.
Yes, we know. But as there isn't currently a way to add a custom vision type, Darkvision is as close as it gets, and it STILL shouldn't stack with any preexisting Darkvision that the character has (like it currently does.)
One important difference is that Devil's sight only affects darkness. If you don't have darkvision and you are holding a light that gives bright light for 30 feet, then dim light for 30 feet, with devil's sight, you'd have a ring of dim light area that you'd have difficulty seeing in. Here is a tweet from Jeremy Crawford on it.
I prefer to think of it as "not a bug" because, Devil's sight lets you see normally no matter the light conditions, so you have normal vision to 120ft. if you then have darkvision after the 120 ft. you start experiencing the greyshades of darkvision for another 60 ft. until you reach 180ft. ;)

This is not correct. DS only affects darkness.

There are some things which can increase the range of darkvision. Goggles of Night, the Gloom Stalker's ability, and some others.
However, Devil's Sight is specifically not darkvision. So that's actually a bigger error than merely an additive one.

Hi Jacqsynn,
this is a known issue, which should be resolved soon - apologies in the meantime. :)

Seems like a bug; everything I find online suggests that the two should not stack.

Devil's Sight is NOT Darkvision!

Whew! Glad this was reported. Been meaning to for the past few days since the new character sheet was introduced.

I just noticed this as well (ie 180' range). Is this still on the radar to be fixed?
Echoing this still present with a half-elf and shadow sorcerer (which does not have the 'if you have darkvision, instead add' clause).

Any update on fixing this bug?
I have a Tabaxi Shadow Sorcere.
Tabaxi have 60 ft. Darkvision.
Shadow Sorcere gets 120ft. Darkvision.
They should not stack. But under Senses it says I have 180 ft. Darkvision. It should be 120ft.

Please note that I have changed the thread title to better explain the issue and have merged several threads.
