ENABLING CONTENT FOR YOUR CHARACTER
Monsters of the Multiverse is part of the core setting for Dungeons & Dragons, so there isn't a toggle switch in the character builder to enable/disable the content.
Syncing Entitlements
If you don’t see any of the content from the book (preorder bonuses or otherwise), please be sure to resync your entitlements. You can do so by following these steps:
Some of the races in Monsters of the Multiverse have traits that only activate at higher than 1st level.
As an example, the Aasimar trait Celestial Revelation states, "When you reach 3rd level, choose one of the revelation options below."
Whilst we feel it's important that this information is surfaced in the character builder, when you're selecting the race for your character, we don't want these traits to show in the character sheet until the character is the appropriate level to gain the trait.
Please note, when levelling up your character, you may (as in the case of the Aasimar) have choices to make on the race page!
SOURCE CHANGES
With the release of Monsters of the Multiverse, we're straightening out some data - in hindsight, we made a mistake by updating some old monster statblocks, as if they were errata. This happened because of the chronological order of digital book releases being different to the order they were built in.
As standard, our working practice is that any time updated stats are printed in a book for something, we treat it as errata and update the content. Monsters of the Multiverse is the first time that this hasn't happened. The D&D Beyond community were very vocal about not wanting the existing content automatically updated, so we listened.
However, as mentioned above, the order of the books matters. The Wild Beyond the Witchlight and Call of the Netherdeep were digitally released prior to Monsters of the Multiverse, however in terms of build order, they are positioned afterwards.
MONSTER STATBLOCK CHANGES
The following monsters were originally printed in Volo's Guide to Monsters. New versions of their stat blocks were printed in The Wild Beyond the Witchlight. As per our standard policy, we treated this as errata.
Boggle
Darkling
Darkling Elder
Korred
Quickling
Redcap
We now know that wasn't the correct decision. As well as restoring these six monsters from Volo's Guide to Monsters, we want to make sure that nobody experiences any edge case situations where they feel that they don't have the version of the statblock that they purchased.
Anyone who individually purchased one of the six monsters listed above, is being granted the new monster statblock for free.
Anyone who has purchased a book where one of these six monsters is published, will be granted access to both the legacy statblock and the new statblock.
Additionally, the following two monsters were originally printed in Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes. New versions of their stat blocks were printed in Call of the Netherdeep and now in Monsters of the Multiverse. The primary source for these two monsters is being updated to Monsters of the Multiverse.
Sword Wraith Warrior
Sword Wraith Commander
RACE CHANGES
The Harengon & Fairy races were first printed in The Wild Beyond the Witchlight book.
As of the release of Monsters of the Multiverse, all of the races presented in that book, including the Harengon & Fairy races are now considered to be primarily sourced to Monsters of the Multiverse book.
If you purchased The Wild Beyond the Witchlight, you will still have access to these races.
The only differences that will be seen are:
Both Harengon & Fairy races will be shown under Monsters of the Multiverse on the races page.
One thing to Improved UI is to combine the sub-races. right now I show Genasi (legacy) with the 4 sub-races, and Air Genasi, Earth Genesi, etc from (M3 as separate races)
One thing to Improved UI is to combine the sub-races. right now I show Genasi (legacy) with the 4 sub-races, and Air Genasi, Earth Genesi, etc from (M3 as separate races)
Previously, Genasi was a race, with four subraces - that is no longer the case though - there are now 4 distinct Genasi races.
We are still researching how to improve the UI/UX for the race selection page of the character builder.
I switched one of my characters from the Legacy Goliath to the new Goliath from MotM. When I went to redo the racial ability score bonuses, I noticed that whether I chose the +2/+1 or +1/+1/+1, it let me select the same ability for all of my choices. I thought that wasn't supposed to be allowed?
EDIT - and just for the record, "Little Giant" is silly. When other races have the "you count as one size larger etc" thing it's Powerful Build. Why call it something else for Goliaths? That's how things like Fey Ancestry and Trance are handled, after all. If you needed a place to put the Athletics proficiency, it should've been added to "Mountain Born".

The text just above the selection states the rules here (see below). We don't currently force you to stick to this.
When determining your character’s ability scores, increase one score by 2 and increase a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. Follow this rule regardless of the method you use to determine the scores, such as rolling or point buy. The “Quick Build” section for your character’s class offers suggestions on which scores to increase. You can follow those suggestions or ignore them, but you can’t raise any of your scores above 20.
I've got a handful of legacy creatures in the Encounter Builder that don't have the +/- to add or remove. Trying to update previously made encounters but can't take out some of the old monsters.
(Tried to include image, but imgur link doesn't seem to be working here)
Eladrin Fey Step trait doesn't let you select an ability score in the trait to determine the saving throw.
Alas - server gremlins snuck in and caused us some grief that caused this issue - rest assured I've dove in and vanquished them (though the change may take up to 20 minutes to fully appear in the character builder - the choice should begin to populate when a season is selected).

Stone's Endurance on the Goliath race is using the wrong modifier in the snippet - should be con mod, not con score.
It is not showing up on my app. At all. Tried logging in and out, reinstalling etc. What gives.
Things are always a day or two slower to hit the app because it only syncs when your device syncs to its network at night.

Content Troubleshooting
This has been fixed - it might take some time to propagate in the character sheet. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!
One thing to Improved UI is to combine the sub-races. right now I show Genasi (legacy) with the 4 sub-races, and Air Genasi, Earth Genesi, etc from (M3 as separate races)
I'm only getting the option to increase ability scores +1/+1/+1. Not showing +2/+1 option.

Looks like that was with a Yuan-ti character. We've located the issue and resolved it.
It might take a few minutes for caching to catch up.

I've noticed that in the new book the Black Abishai has the Creeping Darkness ability but in the monster section it's missing it.
This has been fixed - thanks for reporting it!
I've got a handful of legacy creatures in the Encounter Builder that don't have the +/- to add or remove. Trying to update previously made encounters but can't take out some of the old monsters.
Clicking on the "Ki-Rin" entry in a search for the MMM is slightly broken because the page flag being wrong. The search entry is "https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/motm/bestiary-ek#Ki-rin" and it appears the correct flag needs to be "https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/motm/bestiary-ek#Kirin".
edit: same is true for the search entry for VGtM. The url is "https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/vgtm/bestiary#Ki-rin" and it should be https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/vgtm/bestiary#Kirin" to work properly.

The Trance ability for shado-kai and sea-elves do not let you chose your 2 professioncies. For eladrin this is correct.
This has been fixed - thanks for the heads up!
