Is there a way to disable specific rulebooks when creating a character? In particular I want to disable the "Elemental Evil Player's Companion".
I am try to create a Warlock using the core rules from the PHB, and when I go to add spells, it's including ones from the EE that don't exist in the PHB. I have to manually check each spell to see if it's part of the PHB or not, and it's really losing a lot of convenience of using D&D Beyond.
For finding spells, you can go to Game Rules -> Spells -> Warlock, and then Show Advanced Filters -> Source -> Player's Handbook, then click Filter Spells
Has there been a change to this now? Its very confusing for new players and somewhat annoying to have to tell them that no, you cant use that cool spell you found under available spells.
Any update on this? I don't want to use Tashas Cauldron of everything in my games (and don't own it) but various class features (like fighter battle master's maneuvers) are being added to character creation. I agree with Zing it is frustrating to tell players you cant use those features or that spell. Just a simple yes/no check box for source material used in campaign/character setting would go miles for the usability in my games.
I purchased all of the content on DndBeyond. I wish it was possible to be able to disable the basic rules across the platform. Since I own all of the material, the basic rules are not needed and just add more "junk" to my searches as well as looking through the spells. DnDBeyond, can you please make a feature to disable basic rules?
I introduced a bunch of my players (I DM three different games, majority of them all new to D&D) - and though I own more than PHB on here - I said, "Only PHB is available." And this was because they were new - didn't want them looking through hundreds of spells, feats, etc. Wanted them to get a feel for the game - and there'd be a quest (once they were more experienced) to break a magical orb that would release more magic into the world (and allow them to repick their "path" - not their class, but whatever "path" in that class they took, if they wanted, as well as learn these new spells in place of others, as needed).
And there've been times where I was like, "Nope, sorry rogue - you can't have Shadow Blade - that's not PHB."
(Granted this game's been going for quite some time now, and they're well on their way to break said sphere) - but definitely can see a use case for this.
Especially for DMs who may purchase a book for the monsters in a book, but not some of the other content (feats, spells, etc) that may also be included.

It is not possible yet, to exclude entire sourcebook from the character creation.
Just as a side note, the spells from the Elemental Evil Player's Companion are also from Xanathar's Guide to Everything.

Like the example below:

Admittedly, I would love this feature also.

I vote for this also. If I want to play just with PBH, I need to manually check each spell, as players can pick them from EEPC for example.
