You can use the customize feature inside the spell information box to add it to the attack section. Note this has to be done from the interactive character sheet page.

By default, only Attack Spells (spells with a To Hit) will show up in Attacks. We do allow you to select other spells (like Fireball) to the Attack section by checking the Display As Attack check box within the spell details collapsable.
Where is the Spell details collapsible? I have looked under the Edit Character under the Spells tab and also on the View Character display under the spells. I see no checkbox for that in either section.
One more question. As a Paladin I took magic initiate with the Eldritch blast cantrip. I added a Custom Attack for the Eldritch Blast and marked off Proficient and used CHA as the Stat option. When I do that, I get +5 t(+3 proficiency and +2 for CHA) o Hit which is correct but the +2 for the damage I believe is coming from the CHA modifier. Spells don't get to add the ability modifiers to damage yet it seems like this is where its coming from.
It's the custom attack feature treating your "eldritch blast" as a regular attack and is using your Charisma for attack and damage. There's currently no way to specify it's an attack spell with no modifier, so just apply a -2 penalty (or whatever the modifier is) to Additional Bonus to negate the damage bonus.
i did this, but they dont appear as attack on the pdf, but they do on the webpage. What am i doing wrong?
i selected vampiric touch as attack, and it shows up on the webpage, but when i export the sheet, it not there on the pdf, what do i do?
EDIT: i had a theory that it only works with cantrips, so i selected minor illusion as an attack, no luck there. but when i tried ray of frost it worked. Additionally, when i tried poison spray, a saving throw attack, it didnt appear. so does this mean that only cantrips that work as regular attacks will appear? why? is it because they never run out and are always prepared? but arrows and bolts for bows and crossbows runout, and weapons are not always wielded, so what gives? and why not saving throw attacks? whats wrong with them?
Running into an intermittent issue - I have two characters, both with spells, one is a Rogue/Warlock (rogue first, in case it matters) and has the Booming Blade cantrip. When I click on it and try to make it 'show as an attack' there is no checkbox there to do that at all. On my other character (war wizard) this isn't an issue at all.
Is this a known issue and/or something else? FWIW, I tried 'rebuilding' the character and had the same issue.

It may be because booming blade is a fairly unique spell when it comes to attacks (along with one or two other cantrips from SCAG). It adds damage and/or affects to attacks with regular weapons, rather than being its own attack. Base damage depends on the weapon used.
If you have Booming Blade, look at the weapons that you can use for the attack requirement. In the notes section, or if you click on the weapon attack and look at the sidebar, it should list the additional damage from Booming Blade.
Not all spell attacks show in the Attack Section, currently I only see spells that are hit. Save spells don't appear.
I have a quite a few that don't show up. Shouldn't things like "poison Spray" or " Thunderwave" show up? They don't on my character sheet.

In the spells section of the character sheet, click on the + next to a spell you want to show in the attacks section.
Then click the + to the right of "Customize", and check the "Display as Attack" box.

Thank you, that did the trick!

Yeah, that makes sense. I was so fixated on the spell not being there I didn't even look at the notes on the weapon attacks. :P
