It appears that HP Maximum is not updating when a character's Level changes. I have a Level 4 Fighter character sheet, but Max HP is still 12 (base +2).
Thanks!
Hiya jglisson, did you set your hitpoints to manual? That's the most common reason for this. Also, you increased your character level to 4, but did you increase the level in the fighter class? If these haven't resolved it, please link your character and we can take a look.
The equipment manager could be a bit more intuitive. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to add equipment and searching for items by only by name was kind of annoying, I typed longsword and had to go through every magic longsword before I got to the mundane one.
The xp tracker didn't feel like it did anything. I thought it would direct me to level up options or something. Not a problem, just seemed odd.
Apologies if you know this already, but it would be nice to have Barbarian Extra Rage Damage included somewhere on the character sheet. It would be excellent to have it listed with the weapon somehow, but including the value or the chart on the sheet would work too. Thanks!

Love everything else so far.
Both of your concerns are things that are being re-worked, so do not fret.
Probably been said already, but the character builder needs to let you enter your stat array before you do anything else in terms of choosing race/class.

Could you explain why you feel this, to allow the design team some insight?
As Ranger, when I cast Hunter's Mark, I wish something appeared in my attacks box reminding me that I add an additional d6 to damage against the creature I targeted. Same with the Ranger feature Colossus Slayer.
Some of the drop-down menus in the character builder do not have the full array of options. For example, when building a Cleric, only the Life Domain is available. Similarly, the only feats available for any class are Grappler and Svirfneblin Magic.
For the beta, only the rules and options provided in the D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion are available in Beyond. Once the full platform launches later this summer, the core rule books and others will be available for purchase, and the content within will be available for those that purchase, or have access through a DM's subscription.

Certainly.
When I build a character, the first thing I do is to note down the stat array. Let's assume that a player rolls for stats. Committing to racial bonuses with out having entered the stat array first seems out of place, and makes it such that you have to compare the racial bonus with your non-digital stat array to make an informed decision. I feel that the very first thing you create is your stat array/class. Once you know the stat array or the class, that is when you'll think about allocation of racial bonuses.
Granted, you'll often choose class before stat array, depending on your rules regarding stats. Fixed rolling will often make it so that the stat array "decides" which class you'll play, where non-fixed rolling or point buy will often mean you decide on a class first. But in both scenarios, it's better to have the stat array visible before you choose racial bonuses. I don't think that it matters whether you choose stat array or class first, but it's the racial bonuses that matter, since which bonuses you take (ie. variant human) will depend on your base stat array, such that you fill the gaps etc.
To further exemplify. I tried to make a character with the character builder, and going something simple like Variant Human: Fighter, I was asked to decide on racial stat bonuses before I had the stat array to compare to, so I would have to look at a different document and do it the "oldschool" way, in order to decide where to place the 2 points.
Sorry if this has already been suggested - but I think it would be very helpful if the standard character builder would let you select and add your class starting equipment automatically, rather than making you search for and add the items yourself.
For example; for a Barbarian it tells me my the starting equipment is as follows:
(a) a greataxe or (b) any martial melee weapon
(a) two handaxes or (b) any simple weapon
An explorer’s pack and four javelins
Could it be set up so that you can click to say if you want option a or b - and if you choose b; bring up a filtered list if which items you can choose from?
Searching the forum to see if a bug is already mentioned is quite hard. The spell list of the ranger is not correct. Ensnaring Strike was missing for instance.

But Ensaring Strike and Hail of Thorns are both from the standard phb. Or am I missing something here?
Yes you are missing something. Those source materials I cited in my previous post, are free material provided by WotC. The PHB will be available for purchase on August 15th.

Would also be useful for a Warlock with Hex (once that is added.)

The "Basic Rules" are not the same as the "Player's Handbook" -- I understand why this is confusing. Most people would think the "basic rules to play the game" are from the Player's Handbook, and while they are in there, the Player's Handbook contains extra things that aren't needed to play the game (races, subraces, certain backgrounds, class features, feats, additional spells, and more).
The Basic Rules is a free PDF from Wizards, available herethat contains the rules of Dungeons and Dragons and the absolute minimum amount of information to play the game.
The SRD (available here, with an FAQ on what it includes at the bottom of that page) is an extension of that with spells and monsters that are the basic needs for playing the game. The SRD also has guidelines on what can be used for publishing your own content under the Open Gaming License (OGL).
The Player's Handbook has to be purchased and is not (legally) available for free anywhere.

Noticed that the staff of thunder and lightning can be attuned, but not also equipped as a weapon. I believe it needs to be able to do both.

How do you get a one-armed goblin out of a tree?
Wave!
Thank you everyone for all of the replies to help Cerapengee,
I understand you're all helping - it's not a competition though, to see who can reply "SRD ONLY" first! :)
