Sadly since I have to take the time to fill out the exported PDF character sheet myself, I have to agree that there is no point in purchasing the digital copies for me. Once the update happens that may change though. I am keeping an eye open to see what happens.
Though considering the amount of work you have to do to "work around" things like Pact of the Blade, it may still be faster for me to do it all by hand anyway.
There doesnt seem to be a way to add extra languages or proficiencies to your character. Like what you get with downtime. Like I wanted to add thieves tools but I cant. And a ccc mod gives you proficiency in arcana and I can't do that.
Ah, too bad, character creation is a bit of a drag when you’re constantly migrating away to see which of your options are from which source when trying to make it AL legal.

Thanks for the response Stormknight
In the shorter term, you will be able to filter available sources to know where all options are coming from. This should happen in the next couple of months. A full pass on AL validation will follow.
*bump* - export pdf for character is missing details and ability descriptions for skills and abilities, which makes the export fairly useless. Please add this feature for the export to include brief summaries of ability and skill descriptions, as well as smaller font. c'mon 10pt should be fine.

This is on the todo list.

I'm sure this has already been discussed somewhere, but I can't filter through everything to find it. Is there any plan to improve or actually add a decent "level up" function to the Character Builder? The current method is terrible and leaves you guessing as to whether or not your getting the correct HP, spells, etc.

It seems fine to me, with only spell selection being weird and awkward. I'm sure it would help the developers if you could be more specific about the problems you are having.
For the spell issue, it seems like a "spells known" section as part of the builder rather than on the character sheet would be the easiest. Other than spells, all level-based choices are tied to class (as far as I know, even when there are racial abilities which improve with character level, none of those offer choices, so they're just automatic), so pretty much everything is under the "class" tab, and that highlights when you need to make decisions.
I guess it might also help if there were a notification badge on the menu bar for Classes, rather than just by "Character Level" once you select that tab.
I've glanced through a few pages, but haven't seen minions/familiars/hunter's pets functions built in to the character sheet yet. I get around this by homebrewing a monster, and having that tab open in addition to my character tab, but it would be convenient to have the ranger's pet be auto updated when the character levels up.

This is definitely planned. I'll share more when I can.
(Hopefully in the right place?) When selecting the magic initiate feat for a class in which you have levels, the selected spell should also be added to your spells known.
Thanks a lot for your reply, filcat! :)
Sadly, I already own a physical copy, so there would be no point in buying a digital one just to use it on the platform. :/

Oh ok thanks.

I think I’m missing it but is there Adventures League support for the character builder on Beyond? Specifically limiting content to PHB+1?

Why doesn't my wizard Spell Sheet have the spells he knows listed under 'Spells Known'?!?
It only lists his prepared spells, which is not helpful when we print the sheet to take to play at the table.
Anyone have any info on working up a character sheet and letting another user take it over?
