Now that the new Eberron guide has released, D&DBeyond has updated Warforged (and lots of other stuff) everywhere it used to exist. This isn't inherently a problem, but for those of us who have a character based on the incredibly-different UA version of Warforged, or just prefer it, could there please be a way to still view and use that content? The fact that it's totally unable to view the stuff (the links are still there, even in Search, but they're all 404 now) really sucks. If something were to happen to my characters or I wanted to make a change and made a mistake, I could lose it entirely and be pretty screwed.
I feel like I should note that I've also tried to quickly recreate some of the stuff myself as Homebrew, but because some things (in this case, the Warforged Armors specifically) aren't very intuitive to get working, it's fairly difficult and potentially impossible.
I think the answer you're likely going to get is that you'll have to make it a Homebrew race. I know that I don't personally want outdated UA stuff uglying up my sources, cause it's just beta tested stuff, but a separate UA section wouldn't offend me.
Hello First_Phase! Thank you for taking the time to write in your feedback!
If you already had a character using any of the newly updated content, that character should now be using the Warforged (UA) race (switch out 'Warforged' for whichever Eberron race that happens to be) -- that character should be unaffected by the change, and you can use that character as normal. You will not be able to use the old version for new characters, however.
Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron was described in the Marketplace and within the document by Wizards of the Coast as a living document subject to change. The updated versions of these races are considered errata/revised rules content, and the old versions are no longer current iterations of them. Please note the quoted text below, which should hopefully offer a bit more context:
These mechanics will evolve based on player feedback. This is a living document, and as these concepts are refined, this book will also be updated for free; so you will be kept up to date with any changes that are made to it.
As far as homebrew: Don't fret! I would definitely recommend playing around in the homebrew system, and reaching out to the community to ask specific questions as you hit walls -- It is 100% possible to recreate these races, as the homebrew tools are functionally identical to the ones the team used to input the races originally! There are a lot of wonderful homebrewers on the forums and in the Discord (discord.gg/dndbeyond) who I'm sure would be able to help answer and troubleshoot your questions!

Will there be a refund issued to people who were misled by the offerings, which absolutely did not contain a warning that it was temporary content being paid for and would soon be deleted?
This content was available from WotC directly for free; what we paid for was the ability to use it in your system. That ability has been removed; so where exactly were we warned that we were purchasing temporary content? There is a stark difference between a reasonable interpretation of "This content will receive free updates" and "this content will be deleted and become unavailable". The product as advertised is gone.
WGtE is being updated by WotC right now to reflect the changes from Last War, with the Beyond team not far behind in making sure it gets rolled out.
If you own WGtE, you will get the these race updates automatically (it might take a day or two though). You will still have the ability to create Warforged in the D&D Beyond character creator.

No one who paid for the content in there was under the impression that "change" meant it was to be deleted eventually.

No, we don't have the ability to create the Warforged from WGtE in the character creator. WGtE is not being "updated" by WotC, it is being deleted by DnDBeyond.

I agree with this sentiment. MellieDM, how do I go about asking for a refund? Or is there a workaround to getting back the content I paid for?

Wayfinders Guide to Eberron was described by Keith Baker and Wizards of the Coast as a living document with the intention of updating it based on UA playtest feedback. To ensure that this was clear to people who purchased it, a disclaimer was added to both the DM's Guild and D&D Beyond products stating such intentions.
The game mechanics here are usable in your campaign, but at this time they aren’t officially part of the game and aren’t permitted in D&D Adventurers League events. These mechanics will evolve based on player feedback. This is a living document, and as these concepts are refined, this book will also be updated for free; so you will be kept up to date with any changes that are made to it. Due to this, the content is not available in the D&D Beyond reader mobile app until a later date.
