I think you're posting your feedback in the wrong place. This thread is for feedback on D&D Beyond (the site/toolset/marketplace), not D&D in general. I'm not sure what the best avenue for general D&D feedback is, likely their socials?
It's a testament to the D&D Beyond team and everyone who makes the site worth visiting, that people equate D&D with D&D Beyond.
I would like additional sticker options for Map building - especially piles of gold, weapons, and other related loot. (possibly a way to upload your own images if nothing else)
This is great feedback – you should share it directly with the Maps team by clicking the Feedback link within Maps itself :)
Custom backgrounds for 2024 are implemented as far as the rules are concerned—custom backgrounds are no longer a player facing option and are instead something the DM homebrews. You can make custom backgrounds using the homebrew tools.

Except that you can't specify the ASI limit, and it leaves it completely open. So "partly implement" with Homebrew.
The Custom Background option and the Homebrew Tool are not the same. I'm kind of splitting hairs but I as the DM should not need to sit and make a custom item for each player, especially when I'm running a bunch of one shots. The fact that someone had to go and make a homebrew to do what should be a core function is just underwhelming. But yes, a part of that does come from the (VERY BAD) choice to put these rules as "DM Facing" instead of player facing. Homebrew is for TABLE SPECIFIC rules, not rules that are present in the base game.
Hell as a PLAYER I often find myself staring at the background options and becoming quickly uninspired as whatever I sat down to build doesn't fall at all into their pre-defined notions but as of yet not a single table has denied request to use what should be a standard option!
(as with all strong opinions please note I have no issues with you or your opinion even though I disagree, this specific topic has been a severe pet peeve of mine for the entire life space of the current rule-set and implementation so... a little annoyed)
I want stuff like "Heros of the borderlands" digital not to be only playable on the DND beyond VTT. C'mon guys how many will not read the small notice and be disappointed? And how many will simply screenshot the maps and puzzle them together to use elsewhere? It's a 20 minute job.
Don't become too greedy in the face of Daggerheart. And don't disappoint your community with such clever management, marketing or sales ideas.
I mean with every inch of the website basically is forcing you to buy the 2024 stuff or live with the many annoyances of using 2014 it's on the edge already.

This is the Roll20 version of the Heroes of the Borderlands.
And they clarified that you'll still be able to download the DM/Player maps from the Adventure itself. There may be things specific to the VTT maps that you won't be able to transfer.
Though it's probably worth an announcement when they fix the wording, because I couldn't see any official words about it in the forums.
Just posted it in it's own little thread but I feel it can't hurt to repeat it here:
It would be nice to have a "Concentration" toggle prominently on the character sheet. It could be:
A toggle like Heroic Inspiration next to the Hit points box, so that we recall to make concentration checks when we get damaged, or
An added condition "Concentrating", or similar, to the Conditions box, which would place the information still more or less where it should be and might be less work than a new toggle, or
Any other idea that helps keeping track of this very basic game element.
I would like to be able to exceed 2048 characters when posting a description or public notes on my DDB campaign pages. I'd also like to exceed that limit in my private notes.
1.) Unlimited campaign notes (description, private and public - all should be unlimited if you pay for the Heroic level tier). This brand spanking new 2048 character limit is utter nonsense, with a capital B.S.
2.) 2024 Updates available on Encounters without using Maps. Maps is tricky to use, finicky as hell, and not all of my players can access it - we play face-to-face, with an erasable grid map and real miniatures. Maps is pointless/useless for me and my group.
3.) Finish updating Encounters. Six years is a helluva lot of time to spend in Beta. Get with the program, stop firing staff and use them to finish what they started.
4.) A notes section in the Initiative Tracker, for the DM to add short notations like, which skeleton the rogue is currently attacking, which bugbear is on fire, and which enemy spellcasters are currently concentrating.

Agreed... there should be a toggle for Concentration, visible in a prominent place. Make it part of Conditions, only make it highlighted some bright obvious color so players and DMs can see, at a glance, that a PC is concentrating.
- a Concentration toggle button - a M tag (like the C tag) for spells that require a costly Material component - a Quests or Campaign Journal tab in the Notes section of the character sheet (orgs / allies / enemies / quests / backstory / other)... - a Bastion section on the character sheet (perhaps in the Extras section) - customizable / homebrew Conditions - better search filters for Homebrew Creations and Homebrew Collection - better search filters on the digital character sheet to sort magical items: e.g. option to sort by item rarity (not only Common, but each rarity)... - A "Advantage" or "Disadvantage" option when customize skills directly on the digital character sheet - The possibility to spend Hit Dice as a ressource without hitting the Short Rest button; (as of now, checking a Hit Die box does not register as a spent die unless you also hit the Short Rest button. Problem is, more and more features allow characters to use/burn Hit Dice without taking a Short Rest.) - When you joined a shared campaign with shared content enabled, a DM should be able to use the homebrew monsters added to (shared) Collections in the Encounter Builder! - The ability for players to search/view shared homebrew content when searching for spells, feats, subclasses (outside the character builder)... e.g. a "Homebrew" option included in the Source Category drop down options.
Request to properly implement Encounter Builder with the 2024 rules and make some sort of statement of support for this feature. I don't like the Maps feature as it does way more than we need it to do (run initiative for a simple encounter). Furthermore, maps aren't needed for most games ran in person. We have those on the table.
I agree with you. Feels like I’m yelling into the Grand Canyon.
Then you're not agreeing with me, that wasn't the point I was making...

I'm going to put this out there:
"Ignore User" doesn't remove people from seeing your posts.
We need a BLOCK button.

Fix these well documented and often encountered problems before adding more stuff that works sometimes.

DnDBeyond can't sell digital stuff for Foundry VTT or Roll20, because those sites sell them...
