Quite a few asking for offline access on laptops - I guess if enough people ask Curse might start to listen.
Interesting thread. Shame it was locked. I'm of the opinion that WoTC needs to figure this the hell out and stop making people pay for the same rules over and over again. But that clearly is not going to happen.
We live in a capitalist society. People speak with their wallet. If you're unhappy with the current situation, there are lots of other rules out there. Heck, you can even go buy PDFs of pretty much all of 2e or 1e and play that, or you can move on to another game system that offers print+PDF bundles. Dungeon World, Savage Worlds, GURPS, Pathfinder, they all have PDF offerings that are etheir free or discounted with physical book purchases.
That being said, I still want a Print+Digital bundle as a feature. I understand the logistics behind why it probably can't happen unless WoTC buys D&D Beyond off of Curse. But this thread is what you want most out of D&D Beyond. The only thing I want out of D&D Beyond is digital rulebooks. And I want them in a non-proprietary format.
So I amend my feature request to allow me to buy ePub3 versions of the rulebooks to install on my tablet or phone.
The mobile app, once it's out of beta, will be the closest thing to that. Playing around with the alpha, I can tell you that it's set up like an ePub as opposed to the format of this site.
However you did specify non-proprietary, so I assume that's not the solution you're looking for. But I believe it will be the closest to that you will see. If you're not above having a dedicated app, you will be able to just purchase the "Compendium Content" for approx $20 per book that doesn't come with the database listings and other features, and you will essentially have D&D eBooks that you can read offline.
Again, I know it's not what you said you were looking for. But maybe your request will inspire a compendium export option into a raw file, if that's even possible with what they've built.
1. What i want most than anything now is an official translation to Brazilian Portuguese, got some people on my party that don't read english well. I know it's beyond the app reach, but would be nice anyway.
2. Would like to have the measure and weight on metric and gram system, for those not living under imperial measures. I've heard the french version does have this, but i don't read french.
3. An option for DM's to create a session naming which characters of the campaign are on it and a button to add xp to all of them not needing to add it on each character individually, be at me or my players.
4. An option to "buy" items instantly deducing the base price from the character currency would be nice too.
For now that's all i want. Thanks for the toolset, it has been leveling up my campaign since i joined it.

I know there was a plan to have books translated to Portuguese, and I don't know how much different the brazilian variant is in text, but they don't seem to be out yet. I can't manage to find anything if it's still being worked on or not.

I just had an idea inspired by this. I think the difficulty of having a "Buy" button is that it removes the option of negotiation.
However - and I think this would be grouped under "Campaign Management" - it would be cool to allow the DM to set up "stores". It would essentially be a handpicked inventory list, with prices set by the DM. If the PC negotiates well, or if role-playing goes south and the shopkeeper decides he doesn't like the PC, the DM could change the value. Then the player can just buy it from that list with a single mouse-click, as lucasbastos was suggesting.
Selling could be set up in a similar way. But now that I mention that, the whole thing might work better like an MMO trade window. Haha, idk this is all just kind of a brainstorm.
Yep. One of my party is playing this next campaign so she won't be managing the character on D&D Beyond. I could say no, but it fits our world setting too well.

What he's asking for is different to the slightly disingenuous approach in that thread.
Bundled or de-facto bundled pricing of physical and digital is entirely possible for Beyond, so long as you were only going forwards - i.e. if you wanted a new book. It's understandable that they can't go backwards, but forwards is possible.
It is particularly possible because Curse is Amazon, something that I don't think I've seen the devs mention at all. They are wholly-owned by Amazon. If they wanted to set up a system where purchasing the digital content gave you money off the Amazon content, or vice-versa, they are in the absolutely perfect position to do so.
I agree that they are in the perfect position to do so, and it would fit in well with Amazon's business model, but not with Wizards as the licensor. FLGS remain the lifeblood of this hobby, they bring in new players and give spaces for games and groups to develop. They are also in the business of selling physical items not digital content. If the discount were exclusive to hard-copy items bought through Amazon, it would be another swipe at the already thin margins game store operators work on. I am an Amazon true believer, and they have been there for me when I was stationed abroad and deployed, but I would hate to put another nail in the coffin of the local game store. So, I guess, I would love to see a way for it to happen, (A QR code sticker placed in the book and activated at the point of sale would be one way) but not if it comes the expense of the FLGS owners and employees.

I also want offline access for playing on a laptop in places where there is no Wifi or cell signal to hotspot off of. Both of the places I play D&D at are like this and it's very annoying to not be able to have offline access to the books I paid for(a second time)!
I'd love to see the ability to assign a member of a campaign as an "Admin" so they can see other player's character sheets and maybe even edit them like the DM can. That way if you run a campaign with a co-DM, they can do all the things that you can.
i would love a dedicated way to create a animal companion (i use homebrew monster maker rn) i want this because it's nowhere near easy to make a full companion in the current setup, i may be blind but i don't see a way to change a companions proficiency bonus among other things.
Maybe it already exists, but I didn't find it. I would like to be able to access book content by their physical page number. When I see rulings on the net with "see DMG p.252", I'd like to be able to access that quickly

100% this, it's incredibly annoying that I have to now guess which chapter something is in then randomly search when I already know the exact page number. It wouldn't be hard to implement, just attach an ID anchor to a div that contains all the content of the page in the print version, then add a little floating element like the table of contents which lets you skip directly to those div elements.

as far is the HB classes i agree with needing that. or at least the archetypes. on the same note. since they put the blood hunter from Crit Roll. why not go ahead and Add the Gunslinger on there? or is it one a packet that i just did not see already?

I would like to be able print out character sheets that contain full spell & special ability descriptions.
There needs to be some kind of hardback + digital bundle for books. I don't want to pay full price for both print and digital.
And, offline access for PC/Mac/Linux.

Artificer class
When WOTC releases a new version of Artificer, it'll be up here, but currently it's not in active playtest.

Indeed, Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis and Amazon Kindle figured this out a long time ago.
